TTC - Ovulation

Hi!

I have been TTC this month. I got a flashing smiley face on the clearblue OPKS this morning so all is looking good! I would love to talk to anyone else who is also TTC this month... I am currently driving my husband mad as it's all I can talk about. 😊

@LittleDoveLove could it be implantation bleeding?

@MrsRosaline I've decided to hold out until Friday. That feels like a happy medium. Then if it's negative I'll know for sure its negative. None of this wondering! I read a great article last night which was a list of reasons not to test early and that's motivated me to not test early again!!!! Have you been using FMU? x

@LittleDoveLove sorry your cycle is messing yikes around. Must be very frustrating for it to be so confusing at a time when you need it to be reliable!

I'm not going to test again now. Early testing gives no answers and just increases anxiety. I'll test on Wednesday morning if no period by then!!

@MrsRosaline yes that one! Its interesting they take day of ovulation to mean LH surge+1 x it's also helpful to see the wide range of hcg levels, so those women who get very early results are just simply those with higher levels, so even more reason to wait it out.

The chart confuses me a lot! How does the "duration of pregnancy (days)" link with DPO!?

I'm not very good at tables and graphs. 🤦🏻‍♀️ So when it says: duration of pregnancy - 11 days - median hcg 25. Is that the same as saying that by 11DPO there is (on median) 25miu/ml?

@newtolineofduty my dad came over this evening, so I put away all the conception related things (OPKS, pregnancy tests etc.). It's actually been really good because just now when I went to the toilet I would have also casually done an internet cheapie test and examined it for ages afterwards! Going to tell my husband to keep them hidden and not give them back until Wednesday morning!!

Yeah actually it was quite nice to just go the toilet and not see it all strewn all over the side in the bathroom! It's like a constant visual reminder, so I feel a lot calmer now.

Definitely a surprise AF for me so will have another go next month, best of luck ladies for those waiting to test 😊. Next month I'm just going to have a go every 36 hours right across the majority of the cycle, we reckon that is probably best idea for use. I do have some sticks left so may do them as well just for info but I'm a bit reluctant to believe them after the second peak which doesn't seem to be have been one with AF arriving 6 days later!

@MrsRosaline I'm feeling sick/rubbishy today but actually not feeling an urge to test as I felt like this in the lead up to my last period and tummy wise I feel like AF is on its way x how are you feeling? X

@newtolineofduty no need to test as my period came today. Really really don't want to go through another month of this ☹️

@MrsRosaline sorry to hear that that's rubbish. Would you consider doing it without monitoring ovulation? I'm considering that next month.....x

@newtolineofduty I take pregnacare like I did with my first one, I think it's just one of those things, I'm late 30s and have been stressed (not around baby stuff as only first month) which I think is more likely to be influencing it. I'll see how I go next month 😊

@LittleDoveLove prenatal vitamins also messed with my cycle. There's definitely something to it!

@MrsRosaline I'm the same to be honest! I'd love to go with the flow but I just can't! I caved and tested this afternoon and it's negative so pretty sure I'm out! And I can feel AF coming x

I've decided to view it as a positive and focus on the next month looking after myself better-eating better and doing more exercise etc so I'm in a better positive next month! I also don't want another winter baby-I'd like a spring baby so it's not as cold when up in the night! 😂❤️

Hmm yes, although a baby conceived next cycle would be due April, and this is also my birth month!!

Hehe I have two step children also and their birthdays are across nov-March so we wanted at least a months break especially with Christmas in the middle! 😂

On another note is there a way to quickly get to the bottom of a thread or is it a case of needing to scroll all the way down each time!? X
