TTC - Ovulation

Hi!

I have been TTC this month. I got a flashing smiley face on the clearblue OPKS this morning so all is looking good! I would love to talk to anyone else who is also TTC this month... I am currently driving my husband mad as it's all I can talk about. 😊

I don't know for definite when I ovulated - if I go on when I had EWCM then it was 6/7DPO.
I tested OPK the same day I did the pregnancy tests and the line was really light.

It's such a mind messing thing TTC isn't it! Your experience last month and mine this month it's just a nightmare 😂😂 Why can't it be easy like they show in the films 😂😂

Hope everyone feeling ok today and has some nice plans to distract from the TWW/symptoms/confusing tests 🥰

@newtolineofduty I'm not sure if they count them but I just thought it I knew I could conceive that wouldn't be the problem it would either be quality of egg or something else so I would rather know.
@Itsjustme20 yes it's the sticks haha the OPKs worse for me the pregnancy ones have been accurate to date.

I've had similar feeling to last month at this time, I've been very bloated, bunged up (sharing is caring) and I've got a banging head again this morning. Paracetamol is my friend this morning!

@LittleDoveLove @newtolineofduty I have had a sore throat and stuffy nose! I was reading about low level viral infections being a sign of pregnancy, but again... trying not to read too much into it!

I've had a cold each time and I've a sore throat now but so many things going around at present is hard to know! X

I've actually continued tracking my temp this month as didn't last time and that's quite interesting too but hoping I don't get a blocked nose or that will put a stop to that 😂

I think that's a high. But definitely DTD regularly throughout the high and peak 🥰

First time using ovulation tests and now I am confused!

Predicted ovulation date is Tuesday 17th August (cd16)

Yesterday morning the 2nd line appeared but not as dark as the control line (the photo looks darker than it was). In the evening the 2nd line had gone very light.

Ovulation test today shows the 2nd line as a light line, do you think that cd12 was my peak and now I am ovulating? Or are the tests rubbish😂 we are thinking maybe we should keep dtd just incase? X

Looks like CD12 was your strongest test, but it's not a positive. Your LH can fluctuate throughout the cycle, so I'd keep testing. What is your predicted date based on? An app? They are automatically generated and not personal to you, so I wouldn't trust their predictions!

@MrsRosaline Yeah thats from an app prediction. I previously had a pregnancy which ended as a MMC, the ovulation date for this was between cd14-cd17.

Hey all 👋🏽 just checking in for a catch up. 9dpo for me. Have been keeping busy and distracted. Nothing out of the ordinary to report except my RHR on Fitbit has been higher than it ever has
been the past few days. Good luck to everyone testing soon. I'm going to hold out and wait for AF if I can. Wishing baby dust to all xx

@QueenLagertha I'm 11/12 DPO TTC #1 cycle #1. If I weren't TTC would be expecting AF today-Tuesday (25 day cycle and very regular); 🤞🏼she doesn't come.

I've not tested as in a wait pact with @MrsRosaline and @newtolineofduty to hold off until tomorrow/Tuesday.

Must admit I'm now on edge so rather snappy. Over the past day I've had "symptoms" including increased RHR, Higher temp, cramping, tenderness in my left nipple, weeing more, but now I keep feeling as if AF is coming- every time I go to the loo I'm scared to wipe 🤣. I know it's unreasonable as what will be will be but my goodness.

To clear my mind I'm off to run club.
How's everyone else doing?

@wannabeamummysobad it's funny you say about going to the toilet!! I feel like I'm about to have the worst period ever. Awful cramps in my back and down my leg; my boobs are sore and swollen. Every time I go to the toilet I keep expecting to see blood or the start of my period. CD28 today... so far nothing!

@MrsRosaline I'm CD24. Done with my run and back to fretting 🤣.

Can I ask - what's the deal with needing FMU? Is it essential? Why is it different than midday if you haven't drank lots of water or had lots of coffee? Just thinking about tomorrow if AF 🤞🏼 doesn't arrive?

Hey can I join in, TTC #7 and I'm on CD30 and normally AF shows on CD27! But I didn't ovulate to CD20 this month so not sure if I'm late or having a longer cycle🤔 AF hasn't been late in years so no idea 🤷🏻‍♀️ feel like shit last few days constant nauseous feeling I'm now 9DPO. Not sure when to test

I think FMU is usually your longest held urine and so therefore has the highest concentration of the pregnancy hormone. Having said that, I waited until the day my period was due with my daughter and tested with FMU. It was obviously positive. I tested again that evening when I got home from work, and they were all very clear positives.

@Aims1991 welcome. You are in a similar situation to me! My period is always here by CD28 but I also ovulated late this cycle! I would go on your luteal phase, which should be roughly the same. How long is there usually between ovulation and periods? Then you can judge whether you're actually late. My luteal phase is usually 11 days, which makes me think my period is more likely due on Tuesday.

Hey, I'm normally around 11/12 days so I'm only 9 just now. So strange as AF hasn't been late in over 3 years. Just feel so nauseous and sore heads just now. Don't want to test to see a BFN!

So I would wait until Tuesday then!

Hey everyone! Well done for not testing @MrsRosaline and @wannabeamummysobad. @wannabeamummysobad just remind yourself that if you tested today and saw a negative then it could be false but if you saw a positive that could also be 'false' (non viable/chemical). If AF could show up any time between today and Tuesday I think Tuesday would be the best to wait until but I also think Monday evening would be fair!

In terms of FMU I've read many times that people often get negatives in the morning but positives after a long hold in the afternoon! So I don't think it's the be all and end all so if you wanted to do tomorrow evening I'm sure that would be fine especially if you're that bit further along. I tested with my daughter on the day my period was due in the afternoon and got a strong positive x

I've no temptation to test at all so I'm just waiting for AF. I've been feeling very nauseous the last few days but my daughter has had a bug so I'm not reading in to it! I also have some cramps today so expecting AF to arrive (due weds!). Will test Weds evening if she's not shown up! Feeling much more patient this month but I think it's because I'm feeling quite pessimistic! X

Pretty convinced AF will show up on weds...I've got the classic cramps I get in the days leading up....I'm trying not to give up hope though as last month I had no pms symptoms but it still didn't mean I was pregnant! Xx

@newtolineofduty @MrsRosaline I took my test this morning having completely psyched myself out and figuring I needed to fully prep for AF but..... on CD25 (12/13 DPO ttc#1 cycle#1) AF didn't arrive and I got a BFP (FRER)!!!

I know I've got a ways to go and won't feel comfortable until the little one is in my arms. Thank you for making the pact to wait until AF due day.
