TTC - Ovulation

Hi!

I have been TTC this month. I got a flashing smiley face on the clearblue OPKS this morning so all is looking good! I would love to talk to anyone else who is also TTC this month... I am currently driving my husband mad as it's all I can talk about. 😊

Yes it's really hard to stay calm. It's still early for me though. The calmness could soon disappear. Usually 7/8dpo is my tough point when I start imagining I can feel implantation 😂

@Itsjustme20 omg! This is so confusing for you! I'm so sorry! What's the sensitivity on the most recent one. I think the frer will be your best bet at knowing the answer. Although the chances of having two false positive must be rare!!

So this mornings BFNs were from a 20 and 25 sensitivity.

The BFPs yesterday were a 10 and 15 sensitivity so it could be that. I'm petrified now to take the FRER 😭

@Itsjustme20 yeah that would explain it. I think it's very unlikely you'd have two false positives. You must have only ovulated around 10-12 days ago I guess to only pick up on the sensitive ones. What a whirlwind!! Fingers crossed frer is positive for you! X

Eek so sorry @Itsjustme20! It totally makes sense that it's just due to them not being as sensitive! When did you last do a wee? I'd wait until you've not been for 4-6 hours and don't drink anything and then do it and then you can be confident! X

I can't stop weeing so that doesn't help 😂😂

I've not had a wee in about an hour now (busting again already but😂) so going to try and hold it in for a few more hours xx

I think it was a horrendously cruel trick of positive tests yesterday 😢

@Itsjustme20 oh no! I'm so sorry. I would still hold out until your AF shows- you never know! I don't understand how two of your tests were positive? Could it may be a chemical? So confusing for you x

I don't even know anymore 😂 I'm getting symptoms of pregnancy the last 2/3 days. But if I ovulated last week when I think I did I'd be 6DPO currently.

I registered the pregnancy last night as our medical system says to do it as soon as so I've rang them to cancel it and she's said if you've had 2 positives it's likely to be positive so they've booked my first midwife appointment and told me to test again on Saturday. 😬😢

@Itsjustme20 oh well that's hopeful if the professionals are saying that! Can they do a blood test as that's accurate. These tests certainly play with your emotions! How do you know you're 6dpo- did you do opk last week? I really hope you get a firm answer ASAP, this must be so upsetting!

Honestly I'm so all over the place it's ridiculous 😂

She said they don't really do blood tests anymore but if it's negative Friday then they might.

I think I ovulated last Tues/Weds and we DTD Weds evening. Ihad EWCM but we were on holiday so I had no OPKs 😂 But that's the only time this cycle I've had any CM 🤷🏽‍♀️

@Itsjustme20 oh really? Well if you DTD last Wednesday then you would be super early to get a BFP - something is getting picked up on these tests that's for sure. I would follow their advice and test on Friday with a frer again and then go from there. I would say try and relax until then but I would not be able to 🤣🤣

@Itsjustme20 this happened to me last cycle. I had two positive cheapies, one positive Asda own brand, and a negative FRER. I wasn't pregnant anyway as my period then came 🤷🏻‍♀️ who knows. Maybe as time goes by, the tests will become clearer, especially if you're only 6DPO!

Hi everyone, I am very new to this site and honestly just really fed up of TTC. I am 30 and have been TTC for nearly a year now with no luck. I have got all the apps, but they all tell me different ovulation dates. I don't use the ovulation tests as they honestly confuse me. I feel like my partner is getting fed up of me talking to him about TTC. I feel like I'm failing and every month that goes by is like a literal stab in the heart each time. Does anybody recommend any ovulation apps or anything that could help me know when to DTD please? I love all the support on this thread, you ladies are so helpful!

Oh no @Itsjustme20. Try another FRER in the morning with first urine. But if you only ovulated 6 days ago it would be far too early for a positive anyway. Unless you ovulated earlier than you think.

@hlkxxx I'd recommend reading taking charge of your fertility by Toni weschler. You can pick up a second hand copy on eBay or Amazon. It'll explain fertile signs and temping very clearly. Apps are not accurate at all.

@hlkxxx I feel exactly the same as I'm sure many others do too. If you're confused about ovulation dates etc I'd recommend the clear blue advanced ones and start DTD once the flashing smiley face appears and then for 3 days once the static smiley appears- that should cover you. I think the stats are that there's only a 20% chance a couple will conceive each month so as much as we all want it instantly, reality is it can just take time. It is so heartbreaking though trying again and again and feel like you're getting nowhere. If you want some reassurance, you could speak to your Gp for blood tests or you could get a fertility screening privately- around £400-500 for couples fertility testing. That's where we're heading in a few months x

How bizarre. Sorry AF came for you 😢

I'm in CD41 now with no sign of AF and then the positives and a mix of negatives too. I'm going to try and hold fire until Friday now and see what happens!

I only think I'm 6DPO based on EWCM but 🤷🏽‍♀️

@Itsjustme20 oh no hopefully you'll get a positive again later. Very stressful.
@hlkxxx I have used Ovia and Kindara but I tend to go by my CM and body temp and the ovulation sticks. I use the apps as a guide but I don't go by the exact timings. I tend to do a combination of the 3.
Ladies I'm now joining you on the 2WW think I am 2 or 3 days DPO looking at my temp chart x

@Itsjustme20 if you're only a week past ovulation I wouldn't worry about the negative frer just yet!!

The only thing I would say @hlkxxx is that the apps are usually wayyyy off! Far better to track with real life signs (like OPKS) if tracking is what you want to do!

That's if the EWCM was signalling ovulation and wasn't a freak coincidence 😂😂 Honestly hating this TTC thing now 😩😂

We're only on cycle 1 but if I end up having like 40+ day cycle each time it's going to go on forever. X

I havent to be honest lovely. I wouldn't even know what to take 😂

I've done another test this evening (I said I'd wait but who was I kidding 😂) and I'm sure there's a really faint second line. I'll attach below but I've looked at so many tests today over and over it's probably line eyes 😂
