Just so the pregnant people know, there is a thread that people move onto after this one when they’re no longer TTC, think it’s called Old ovaries new lines, something like that? You’ll probably see some familiar names!

@got2be Thank you for the tag

@ElsieG3m I had a HyCoSy at the beginning of the month. I started taking paracetamol the night before (every 4-6hrs) so that it was already built up in my system by the time I had the procedure the following afternoon. Therefore it was uncomfortable but not painful, felt similar to mild cramps. Honestly, the things we have to go through, men are so lucky!!

@Misty84 that was a really clever idea re: the paracetamol, I wouldn't have thought of it!

Misty84 · 29/05/2021 10:43

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 Disclaimer: I didn’t think of it either! 😂

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 29/05/2021 10:46

😂😂😂 I'd have claimed it

thislittlebird · 29/05/2021 10:56

@Misty84 side note but I was also told to do that for the covid vaccine. He said take it as soon as you have it every few hours or before, just to ease any symptoms you might get.

got2be · 29/05/2021 11:58

@MgW1 happy birthday 🥳

@ElsieG3m I had an HSG which is similar to a hycosy. For me the procedure didn’t hurt was a little uncomfortable as you can feel them pumping you up lol but no pain for me atall. Did not take any painkillers before.
Now when I got home it was a whole different story I was in agony it felt like trapped wind and I had that pain for the rest of day. Had to take painkillers and was laid up with a hot water bottle.

Ladies, I need advice on sleep.
I don't know if this is 100% preggo related, but for the last, say, two weeks I've not been sleeping well. Every time I close my eyes I keep seeing actions and events... Dreams... And I never get to that deep sleep phase where I feel rested the next morning.
I've been so tired every day because lack of good rest. To a point where my hubby and I been rotating sleeping on the bed or couch so I get better sleep (he tosses a lot and sleep talks, so he feels bad and gives me the bed and sometimes I sleep on our super comfy couch). It's becoming an issue... Cause all my daily thoughts are now dreams. I got a bad dream this night that I didn't have a successful pregnancy after getting my ultrasound results.
Anyone has any suggestions for me? I drink calming chamomile tea before sleep and it's not doing squat for me... 😭😭😭

got2be · 29/05/2021 16:07

@VixFromThe6ix vivid dreams are actually pregnancy related. I also think because of the previous mc your really on edge.
I’d say try keep yourself busy during the day and have a night routine turning off all electronics, bath bed.
Or try a meditation app like calm. (Free ones on you tube).
Hope you get it sorted as sleep is so needed for you right now xx

got2be · 29/05/2021 16:08

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 lovely lines for 9dpo 😊🤞

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 29/05/2021 16:15

Thanks @notyetamumbuttrying @VixFromThe6ix and @got2be. @ImpatientTTCer ah okay that makes me feel a bit better! Thank you.

@VixFromThe6ix that's sounds really frustrating, you must be exhausted! I'd second meditation, takes a while to get into, but does help (me anyway). Have you tried acupuncture? That makes me pretty sleepy and relaxed also

MgW1 · 29/05/2021 18:14

@VixFromThe6ix
If your struggling to sleep and your thoughts are racing it could be anxiety related. You may have to talk to you doctor if it persists? Other than that, could it be side effect of progesterone if you have been like this for 2 weeks ?? X

KatRee · 29/05/2021 18:39

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 Congratulations! Lovely news! How long have you been trying for if you don't mind me asking?

@VixFromThe6ix Sorry you're going through that, it's horrible when you can't sleep

@notyetamumbuttrying hope you're getting on ok today

VixFromThe6ix · 29/05/2021 18:48

@got2be @A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 @MgW1 @KatRee thank you ladies for all the advice. I'm going to try meditation... See how it goes.

How are you all??

I posted on the other thread as some girls suggested, but I don't wanna leave this chat. It's where I feel most "home" lol and I wanna keep checking in with all of you and follow your journeys. 💕

Henslovetoscratch · 29/05/2021 19:38

Hello folks! Thanks for the add. Been a bit quiet just plugging along with life and trying not to Google! Congrats to all the amazing BFPS!! Great news and so exciting! Going into cycle six and not doing opks or anything this month, was making me really stressed. Hope everyone is keeping well and enjoying some sunshine 🌞

KatRee · 29/05/2021 19:49

@VixFromThe6ix I find meditation/mindfulness helpful too - I need to get back into practising a bit daily. Hope you get some rest soon

@notyetamumbuttrying Good news! How exciting- really hope everything goes well for you!
I'm alright, af arrived a couple of days ago, but booked in for a scan/HyCoSy and SA for OH on Thursday so kind of feeling we're like making some kind of progress

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 I thought it had been a few cycles - think I've seen your name on other threads about trying different things to increase chances- do you think there was anything particular you tried that might have helped?
I'm so sorry you've had a loss along the way. Wishing you a very happy and healthy
9 months this time x
