Hi ladies,

I’ve been lurking for a few days, just seeing what the deal is, trying to work out some of the terminology used, mostly going to post but then getting scared and carry on lurking haha.

I don’t really have anyone I can talk about the TTC journey with in my real life as we aren’t telling anyone as it stands so I’m hoping maybe I can make a few friends here that I can obsess and stress out with 🤣

I’m currently CD 7 in my first cycle so tracking with OPKs every day right now so that I can get a clearer picture of my cycle each month.

I’m 30 and this will be our 1st,

If anyone has any advice/is in a similar position to me or just wants a natter I’d love to hear from you 😊

Xx

@Dannii892 I've not experienced that although I feel like everything is heightened.

@GingerTea333 sending you lots of love. Hopefully it's absolutely nothing to worry about. Doctors appointment seems so far away.. sorry I can't offer any advice :(

Dannii892 · 09/06/2021 15:53

@Peachycream 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I dont think it was gas, no idea what it was - felt like strong period pain even went to the loo to check .. probably hormones 🤔

@KayL1988 thanks 😊

Peachycream · 09/06/2021 16:01

@Dannii892 bodies are weird aren’t they? They just kinda do what they want, when they want. Maybe it was just one of those weird things that happen, I get random pains in different places all the time so I’m sure it’s nothing 😊

@KayL1988 yeah! That’s exactly what’s I’m doing! It’s like you can’t plan ahead cause you have no idea what you’re planning for. One minute I’ll be really excited about it all and the next im like in a few months this could all be totally different xx

@Dannii892 I wouldn't worry too much (totally get that's easy to say!). I came off the pill for 2 years in 2014 (moved area, couldn't find a GP...then got lazy!) and never noticed anything unusual with my cycles. I noted how long they were but nothing else. Since TTC I notice E.V.E.R.Y.T.H.I.N.G!!

Random twinge on CD11 must be ovulation, small back ache on 10DPO must be Implantation, weird pelvic sensation on 12DPO must be pregnant, farted in my sleep on 14DPO must be AF 🙈 - honestly help me!!

@justwant2beamum I'm on cycle 7 so you're not alone ☺️

Peachycream · 09/06/2021 17:11

Did you know that estrogen can cause anxiety and depression? Cause I didn’t!

HRP1990 · 09/06/2021 17:20

@SareBear87 😂 I can relate to this! I’ve been on the injection, pill etc and never batted an eyelid to a pain in my stomach or how even how long my cycles were.

Now I’m TTC I’ve googled all about CM (including images - don’t do it) 😂 generally over analysing everything!

Dannii892 · 09/06/2021 17:25

@Peachycream that's just typical isn't it.. inwish once a month there was something nice like a day of pure laughter like oh got my giggles coming on CD12 ..
@SareBear87 yes that's true .. probably would've just thought strange im not die for 2wks if we wernt actively trying lol

Aries491 · 09/06/2021 17:36

Wow so many updates! Been absent as work has been so busy these last few days and my OH was sick from the Pfizer vax :(
I am now in the dreaded TWW haha! As I couldn't get good reads on opks this month but had other signs of ovulation I am going with 2DPO currently. Trying to almost forget about it, keeping myself busy!

@Peachycream totally get you on mixed emotions like so excited for the future but at the same time almost thinking about what I will miss and how much life will change :)

How is everyone else getting on? Sorry to read on some MCs and BFN so sending love and baby dust to all. X

Peachycream · 09/06/2021 17:40

@Dannii892 I have GAD (general anxiety disorder) and now I’ve learnt this I’m wondering if it’s more prevalent at certain times of my cycle, making it not so general after all 😂
That would be good wouldn’t it, us women seem to get all the good hormones 🙄

OP posts:
Peachycream · 09/06/2021 17:43

Welcome back @Aries491 sorry you felt rubbish after your vax, you all done now or still 1 left to go?

Yeah that’s what I’m worried about, all the things that I can do now but won’t be able to/won’t be as easy later on. It’s just all of it that I kinda have a minute like “are you sure?” But is anyone ever 100% over choices like this? Surely everyone has that tiny little niggle thinking maybe…….xx

OP posts:
HRP1990 · 09/06/2021 17:46

People always say there’s never a right time to have a baby. Or your never fully prepared! I think it’s only natural to question the decision.

I want to focus on the BFP and then let the future sink in after that lol

Dannii892 · 09/06/2021 17:47

@Peachycream 😂😂😂😂😂
I think I need to stay away from
g👀gle and accept what will be will be!

Aries491 · 09/06/2021 17:47

Thanks @peachycream :) it was my partner that had the vax, he's still got one more dose. I had mine ages ago due to asthma so I'm boxed off hah!

I think everyone does, my mum always said you can never think about it too much or you'll never do anything. Just when you're ready and it'll all fall into place (ideally lol) :) xx

Peachycream · 09/06/2021 17:53

I’m glad it’s not just me that feels that way. I get what you mean @HRP1990 just taking it one step at a time, my mind has a tendency to wander off, we were talking about booking a trip next year (providing the apocalypse has finished) and then I was like wait…….by that time there could be a baby!

@Aries491 oh sorry I mustn’t have read your message properly 🙈 I hope he’s feeling better too haha. That’s good that you had yours all done early.

OP posts:
HRP1990 · 09/06/2021 17:56

@Peachycream I know what you mean.. saying that I’ve bought summer clothes like.. Oo I wonder if that’ll fit me next year 😂

Peachycream · 09/06/2021 18:19

What do we all want? I know that everyone says they don’t care as long as it’s healthy, and that is true, but if I had the option to choose, I think I’d like a girl.

Twins would be ideal, one boy, one girl, out the way in one hit 😂

OP posts:
Aries491 · 09/06/2021 18:20

No worries @Peachycream he is now thankfully and yeah I was glad to get it done, one less thing to worry about:)

I keep planning stuff too but then a little voice says ooohh baby...haha guess we just have to go with the glow but bear it in mind :)

Peachycream · 09/06/2021 18:26

@Aries491 that’s a great way to think of it, just keep it in the back of the mind just incase.

😂 @HRP1990 I love clothes shopping, I hadn’t even thought about if they fit, if they don’t I only see that as a bonus to do more shopping 😂

OP posts:
Dannii892 · 09/06/2021 18:43

@Peachycream I think I can honestly say I'd be happy either way.. I would like a boy BUT I really want to do the girls hair and clothes ect lol

HRP1990 · 09/06/2021 18:46

I second this @Dannii892 and also to look after his younger sister lol

Dannii892 · 09/06/2021 19:01

@HRP1990 and that too 😁

PurpleCat88 · 09/06/2021 19:15

I don’t mind either way - a girl for the younger years, but boys seem easier in the teenage years? Could be totally wrong though!

I have also bought new clothes recently, and also stalled over making plans in case I’m pregnant in a few months time. It’s hard to know what to do for the best! 3rd cycle in I’m now thinking maybe just carry on with normal life as much as possible. I’ve cut down to one normal tea a day then switch to decaf and the occasional drink. What’s everyone else doing in terms of drinking and tea/coffee etc? Wine

Peachycream · 09/06/2021 19:35

I think we’re 1 and done which is probably why I think about it a bit more, not that it matters either way, I’d be happy 😊

@PurpleCat88 I don’t really drink alcohol anyway but I haven’t cut out coffee or switched to decafe, and I have no plans to, you’re allowed a certain amount while pregnant anyway so I figured there’s no point.

OP posts:
Aries491 · 10/06/2021 09:50

@PurpleCat88 I have one caffeine drink a day too then switch to decaff. I love my brews so good to get into the habit now I suppose. Alcohol wise I've just been taking it slower if I go pub or for a meal but don't drink a huge amount anyway so it's nothing new for me :-)

GingerTea333 · 10/06/2021 11:40

I am so impressed with the caffeine reduction! I am down to 2 cups of green tea a day but getting below that is a struggle. I am really focusing on my diet though and eating really clean, and I don’t drink so hopefully 2 cups of green tea isn’t the worst vice in the world!

How are you guys in the TWW holding up? Managing to resist googling everything?
