Newbie looking for some support

Hi ladies,

I’ve been lurking for a few days, just seeing what the deal is, trying to work out some of the terminology used, mostly going to post but then getting scared and carry on lurking haha.

I don’t really have anyone I can talk about the TTC journey with in my real life as we aren’t telling anyone as it stands so I’m hoping maybe I can make a few friends here that I can obsess and stress out with 🤣

I’m currently CD 7 in my first cycle so tracking with OPKs every day right now so that I can get a clearer picture of my cycle each month.

I’m 30 and this will be our 1st,

If anyone has any advice/is in a similar position to me or just wants a natter I’d love to hear from you 😊

I have another test so will take one in the morning (only cheap so no need to worry about waste). Hopefully first morning pee will give me a little more clarity.

I am 20, but have a very active role in my two god son's life's (both age 20 months) and have looked after them a lot since they were 2 weeks old. I know I can do the whole motherhood thing so well, and it would fill my heart with joy. The only thing is my family's response. That scares me.

Funny thing is... today I was shopping (in general) and for some reason I ended up looking in both boots and next at the newborn baby clothes! For no reason. This was before I even thought to take a test. Have I performed a magic trick?! lol.

How has everyone's day been? Any progress on your TTC journeys?

Definitely not TMI - we definitely share a lot here!! I only ask because if you were regular you can do a rough guess how dark the line would be.

When you next test we are all here to help decipher it!!

@ConfusedNewbie21 well if you’re happy and excited that’s all that matters and the rest will figure it’s self out as time goes on.

I can’t speak for your family obviously but even if they aren’t thrilled at first I’m sure they will be as time goes on.

I think you have performed a magic trick! If you could perform it on us I’m sure we would all be very grateful! Haha.

After some research, I think I may have tested positive very very early. The line has faded slightly which suggests the test picked up a very small amount of hcg in my pee. Is it okay if I stay on this thread over the next week to update on any developments? I don't want to do so if it seems like boasting / insensitive. Please trust me, that is not my intention! I am scared stiff lol... wish I could have a glass of wine

In exchange for all your help, I have experienced a PPT before (although with very bad/sad circumstances) so could not go through with it. I did however experience all the early signs so please ask anything that might be helpful to your situation. Again... TMI but I feel comfortable sharing here

Waiting and not knowing is the worst feeling ever!!

Ovulation usually occurs within 24-36 hours after peak. The app automatically takes the day following peak as your ovulation day. Actually, ovulation could happen before and after peak and even after the predicted ovulation day, thus it is recommended baby dancing during the fertile window (six days as predicted by the app)/ most fertil window (the day before peak, peak day and the day after peak). Targeting only on one day would not be the best. Trying those days is likely to enhance the chance of conception. Baby dust to you!

Hi all, had such a restless sleep last night thinking over all the possibilities. Once again this morning the lines are even fainter. Could be because it's far too early or it may be chemical. I have also got some period - like pains but slightly different to period. This waiting game is so hard

I have heard of implantation bleeding, however I’m sure that would have occurred before you got your positive? Try one of the FRER’s they are supposed to be the best from what I’ve read on here 🤞🏻

“First Response Early Result” it’s in a pink box! They pick up pregnancy 6 days before your period I believe
