Thanks for the update missusH hopefully the updating bit will get shorter as more of us end up on the grad list.

Any word from glastochick? Did you find your AF or are you next on the BFP list!!

And mamalex, kd, fairysnuff & foghorn how are ladies doing, anyone testing soon??

I'm very conscious of the ladies at the bottom because I know what it's like to be left dangling there in the unknown. I have a week to go before I test. Obviously would love a BFP, but would also be pleased with a 37 day cycle as it's a two week improvement on the last mammoth cycle of 50 days

Shazza2002 · 26/11/2007 15:28

Would love you to be PG buddy too DG

You have been very busy doing the do so let's hope it's done the trick

JollyBear · 26/11/2007 16:01

Congrats Sassylou and Shazza

This is my first cycle since joining mumset and I really like seeing my cycle days moving steadily down the list!

I have irregular cyles and I'm wondering which days I should be fertile between. We made a start at the weekend but am not sure when we should stop (for BDing reasons and not for fun of course ). I was thinking every other day until the 3rd, is that about right?

Obviously I'll keep an look out for EWCM but I don't get any other symptoms of ovulation as far as I know.

Excitable · 26/11/2007 16:09

Congratulations Shazza so happy for you.

Jolly, if I were you, I'd BD as much as you can until your sex drive disappears - that's what I do! When you have irregular cycles, that's about all you can do without using an Ovulation Predictor Kit to tell you exactly when you are ovulating. Just keep bding....

I'm really pleased to be back in the game again, but also enjoying guilt free beer and wine and cheese! DH took me to the pub yesterday to give me things I couldn't have last week. He is lovely and I love him.

JollyBear · 26/11/2007 16:16

Thanks Excitable! I'll do that

Your DH sounds lovely! Mine was being a real cutey yesterday too, there must have been something in the air.

Bucky2007 · 26/11/2007 16:26

Love the new list Twilight.

Excitable · 26/11/2007 16:29

Excitable curses her lack of foresight in not bottling the air yesterday in case of emergencies...

Bumped into my friend last week who is 30 weeks pregnant with her second. After I had swallowed my jealousy (hope she didn't notice!) she told me that her DH had asked her that week if she was going to get any bigger!!! How stupid is that?? And it's there second!! Where was he for the first?? Does he have any idea what is happening??

She also told me that she asked not to be told what the sex of the baby was, but the person with the jelly at the scan (sorry, don't know the grownup word for this!) kept referring to the baby as "he" before asking if they wanted to know the sex. And apparently, this happened with her last pregnancy too, which was a boy. Excitable makes note to self to be very clear about not wanting to know when the time comes...

fairysnuff · 26/11/2007 16:30

Hi all
So long since I hav ebeen on and I still don't have time to catch up with you all

Sad to be moving myself back up the list.
We really thought we were going to get that BFP , sensitive boobs(felt as thought the milk was coming in) peeing constantly, sensitive to smell and huge nips but then I got some spotting last week, was sure it was implantation what with all the syptoms but 4 days later and TEW came in with full force!!
So back to the old drawing board
Reckon it was a chemical one, eh?
Also am a little worried cos it is my second.
Do you think that having the placenta removed by hand during my first birth and then cleared up later by D&C (they left some behind) could have affected my womb and it's ability to hold onto an egg?

Fairysnuff So sorry for your disappointment It gets harder every month doesn't it? I've had two chemical pregnancies in the last 7 months and I had manual removal of placenta after birth of DD and I asked the my doctor exactly the same thing as you're thinking but she assures me that my previous birth would have no bearing on convieving/keeping hold of them. If I have a third Chem PG she will send me for some tests (thats why I always test a couple of days early so I'm sure if AF is AF or Chem PG) but told me it is probably just incredibly bad luck. So lets hope it's 3rd time lucky.

MsSparkler · 26/11/2007 19:40

Excitable i think they just say 'he' out of habit as the woman who did my scan kept saying 'he' and i had a girl! (didn't find out she was a girl until the birth.)

AF still not here. I feel different if that makes sense.

Mrsei25 · 26/11/2007 20:02

twilight I love the new look list. You are a super duper efficent thread secretary!

((((hugs)))) to all the other post mc ladies. Hope we all have better luck next time, which I hope will be soon !

Congrats to shazza and sassylou at their bfps!

Bucky2007 · 26/11/2007 21:03

Sorry your Fairysnuff, but we are cycle buddies . I have honourary cycle buddies too this month Picknmix, O7MTW, CBCB and Abbeymeg* so welcome aboard. I am not exactly a good luck charm though as I am on cycle 7, but will do my best to send baby vibes your way.

Off to watch 'I'm a celebrity' now and get ready for work tomorrow. Night night.

TwilightSurfer · 26/11/2007 22:37

Just popping in for a quick minute as I'm up to my eyeballs in housework today. Why is it some days things just seem to pile up in massive amounts!!!!??? Thankfully I bought sandwich stuff at the grocery today so it's a NO COOK night.

I had a thought late last night and I'm thinking I might be a little farther along in my cycle. Now I'll preface this with as a post-mc newbie who knows what the hell my bodies doing at the moment. BUT EWCM appeared Friday and Saturday . Needing some comfort I caved and BDed Sunday morning . Today I feel like I typically did post-O with no creation in the works. If I went by my MC date I'd be CD17 (Fri & Sat would have been CD14 & 15). Gosh this is all so confusing. I'm sorta kicking myself for caving yesterday but IT WAS worth it IYKWIM. My OB/GYN visit is Wednesday for the MC follow-up. I can see the doctor shaking his head at me now. Could I be off the mark or do you think I could have Oed two weeks post-MC??

So much for quick note, huh.

lockets24 · 27/11/2007 08:20

Twilight i am no expert so wont offer advice that would prob be wrong but at least you can see your OB/GYN guy and ask he what he thinks.

As for me..TEW was here this morning..so i am now CD1 again i am a bit nervous of doing the list (after its been so well done so if anyone fancies changing my stats would be most appreciated!!

Good luck to anyone testing
x

Ooo. Wow. Sorry, I think I was a bit hormonal last night. Crazy post! Lockets you're right...doctor tomorrow. I keep forgetting I'm going to see a NEW doctor that answers questions and cares about his patients. Where has he been all my "womanly" years?

BTW, Is there really a test (blood or otherwise) that can determine whether you ovulated or not? Again, I know...I'll be at the docs tomorrow. But I just thought if maybe one of you lovely ladies has had it I'd love to know ?

{Twilight puts head in hands} "When will this obsessive behavior end?"

GryffinGirl · 27/11/2007 10:41

mornin' all!

just popping in to say hello and make sure you keep me on the list and also to say hi to my cycle buddies

digitalgirl · 27/11/2007 10:47

twilight they can do a progesterone test which sees if you have high levels of progesterone which may indicate you've ovulated.
you can also chart temps (which is more of a hindsight test) to see if you get a notable rise in temperatures for the rest of the cycle after you've ovulated.

however, neither of these tests 'guarantee' you've actually hatched. the only test that looks for an actual egg is a scan, which can be expensive and also fairly hit or miss.

best thing is to trust your instincts

are you hoping for a bfp straightaway? why wouldn't your OB/GYN want you to be PG?

TwilightSurfer · 27/11/2007 11:13

DG Yes I'd like it straightaway as long as it's medically okay because I'm still in the baby mindset (and getting OLD). About the medical part, I'd like the doc to tell me it wasn't me (for whatever reason) that caused my mc. I guess kinda like having a buddy check your chute before you go sky diving. I want to be pregnant but I want to be healthy and I want the baby to be healthy too. That's a lot to ask and I'll be find with a "good chance".

Emmsy1 · 27/11/2007 11:26

Morning ladies, and cyle buddy Griffingirl, well I think I ovulated yesterday as my temperature rose above my cover line this morning, although I ran out of OP tests on day 12 and have decided not to bother buying anymore.I usually get my AF about 13 days after I ovulate so I think I am due on about the 9th December! Will I be drinking over christmas or not? managed to get plenty of B/D in this month so fingers crossed that this christmas will be a very sober one! Must go and do a bit or ironing now, speak soon XXX

sarahnh · 27/11/2007 11:27

morning everyone...

back on today after being bedbound with horrible tummy bug, still haven't eaten yet yuck!! I felt so rough yesterday i ended up having an anti sickness tablet.. now i am really worried that if i have fallen pregnant it will affect me... why oh why do i have to obsess so much??? xxxxx

OP posts:
MissusH · 27/11/2007 12:38

Afternoon all... Hope all is well in TTCworld?

Well I am feeling a bit today. I decided to have a bit of a total body pamper session last night (in a vain attempt to ensure my bod was as lush and seductive as poss for the serious business ahead )

So I duly body-brushed, scrubbed, moisturised and de-fuzzed - except that I used a new razor on my bikini line... Subsequently I nicked my ever-so-delicate bits resulting in seemingly endless blood loss

It hurts when I wee (memories of post-childbirth stitches trauma) and the thought of any sort of bd activity would make me cross my legs if it didn't hurt so much...

DH can't decide whether to rofl or put on caring face...

fairysnuff · 27/11/2007 12:41

OH, SO SORRY TO SEE YOU ARE BACK HERE TWILIGHTSURFER
euch! I had caps lock on!
I have been away a while, blinkin broadband problems
Am working on my sisters laptop at the mo, so this will be another quicky.
I must update the list, I forgot to change my cycle, up to 4.
I know I shouldn't moan 4 is not too much, some of you have been trying for so long, but it is still poo

fairysnuff · 27/11/2007 12:43
