Excitable What a dilema. I'd agree with Scary for your own holiday, BOOK IT! If you are PG you can pick and choose what you want to do and if your not you can go and have a bloody good time and do it all!

My PIL have booked a weeks holiday in Lanzarote for next April with my two brother in laws and their families one family we get on very well with (and their 2 kids 4 & 10) but the other family are a bit snobbish and have 3 children (5,3,1) with one of their boys who is a little devil sometimes. We all have our own apartments though so we can have some space when we need it. PIL have paid for the fully inclusive package so it's very kind of them and they are fab too. I've mixed feelings about one part of the family but there is certainly no getting out of it so I'm going to have a lovely time & hopefully I will be PG by then so they can all look after dd whilst I stay by the bathroom

Don't know if that helps just ended up rambling as usual! The Centre Parcs one - it's only a weekend and I'm sure it would mean a lot to your PIL so throw caution to the wind and go have fun. If you are PG you'll be surprised at how well you can hide it if you want to.

OOOOPS I posted on the wrong thread! Doh how stupid am I? Sorry to everyone who doesn't have a clue what I'm talking about!

Excitable · 18/11/2007 13:44

Yes, MTW I think you're probably right. I am a bit of a blabbermouth, but it doesn't really matter if they know at month two or month three, does it? They're going to be so excited (oh, the irony...) and I need to be sure I can cope with that, and just want to be sure it's going to stick before I send them down that road...

You're holiday in Lanzorote sounds like you'll have a nice time really, but I'd be VERY sceptical about a week away with any of my family. But that really depends on your family, doesn't it?? My Dad and I both agree that we would happily kill each other and dance on the graves if we spent a week together again, much as we love each other, we're just a bit free spirited (or do I mean spirited...)

Now I'm rambling.... never mind, that's what Sundays are for, isn't it??

digitalgirl · 18/11/2007 16:35

hey excitable I've got my second acupuncture treatment tomorrow. feeling very ov-like today, which is already an improvement on last cycle. but have to wait for the temp rise before i can definitely say my cycle has got shorter.

ps, go for the exciting holiday. DH and I are booking a holiday to Zanzibar at the mo. probably shouldn't as I always get bitten my mozzies and i don't think you can take anti-malarial tablets when pg. but we can't put our lives on hold while ttc - or sod's law, it'll take forever.

lockets24 · 18/11/2007 19:22

thats a fab motto

OK I have a stupid stupid stupid why am I even worrying kind of question, which is I am going to the sanctuary spa in a few weeks time when I will be in the 2ww. The treatment I really want includes essential oils and is OK 13 - 28 weeks pregnancy - I'll be OK to still have it won't I? It won't affect things on the slim possibility that this month is my month?

hi ladies just passing through saying hello and checking to see who is due to pee on sticks?

This little pumpkin is making his or her presence felt now and I am feeling and looking dog rough but taking it as a good sign.

Hope more of you will be coming over to join me on the Due in July thread and those who are not will be on the Due in August thread xxx

digitalgirl · 18/11/2007 21:18

clairePO you can tell them you're ttc and they'll substitute the oils that can cause mc's (there's only two or three and it's such a small risk). I went to a spa last cycle and told them, it was all fine.

ClairePO · 18/11/2007 21:20

Hey SK glad you're OK but sorry ts a bit hard for you at the moment, nice though really

I found a treatment with the same oils that is head neck and shoulder rather than full body so pregnancy friendly and not limited to 2nd tri!

sweetkitty · 18/11/2007 21:26

Thanks Claire - you can't spend your time whinging about getting pregnant then when you do whinge about the feeling sick etc can't have one without the other, well some people do

at you going to a spa, enjoy!

07mumstheword · 18/11/2007 21:28

Hey SK how lovely to see you. Glad your LO is starting to give you signs even if it is a little unplesant at times! I'm testing Tuesday although not due until Fri (You know that impatience thing but I've already worked out if I were to get a BFP my due date would be 4 Aug.

digitalgirl · 18/11/2007 21:31

x-posted SK I wanna feel sick as a dawg
although I know full well I will moan like I'm the only person to ever have MS. looking forward to joining the whinge-athon.

teeheelaydee · 18/11/2007 21:45

Glad you found suitable spa treatment Claire, it would probably have been fine but you may have spent the whole time worrying - which would kind of miss the point of a relaxing spa day - have a great time.

I have spent the weekend concentrating on doing things I like - recommended in books and on MN after mc. Been to cinema (on my own and only one in there - fantastic), curled up with book, eaten lovely food and relaxed in bath AND have massage booked for next weekend ! Feel really selfish and indulgent but calmer than I have in weeks.

Hope everyone doing OK today- here's to more BFP this week for those of you who are testing.

ClairePO · 18/11/2007 21:46

SK I've been busy at work - in today so I figure I'm due a treat just have to break the news to DP that its his treat really LOL

I'm also thinking some reflexology would be good - not really spefically for ttc after mc but for general realxing. So as soon as work quietens own will book.

hugs for DG and everything crossed for you MTW

Well, I'm back to the top. We bd'd today to try to encourage AF to make an appearance, and it worked! DH found her on his fingers!

Decided to stop being a biggirlsblouse and go on all the holidays and deal with any sickiness when I get there! BIL and his wife are very boring, but it seems like there's lots of room to go off and do our own thing, which is good.

I have a request for the graduate list, but I'm willing to go with the concensus. I'd like to know what cycle our graduates were on when they hit the jackpot. It just seems to me like it looks like those bfp's happened by magic, when we all know that there's a lot of blood, sweat and tears (literally!) went into them. What does everyone think - do you think it would be useful to know what cycle people were on when they got their bfp's or do you think that it doesn't matter?

Excitable · 18/11/2007 22:02

teeheeladee that sounds like a wonderful weekend. If I have a miscarriage, will you please remind me that I want to do exactly what you did?

I especially like being in the cinema on my own. It hasn't happened for many years but I remember how fantastic it was. What did you go and see?

sweetkitty · 18/11/2007 22:08

Excitable - in answer to your question I was officially on cycle 2 when I got by BFP, I had 2 AFs after the mc.

With DD1 it took 9 cycles of ttc but had a chemical pregnancy during one of them (only managed to BD ONCE that cycle as DP and I both away with work), DD2 first cycle (only BD once that month DP moved to different country), DB3 (mc first cycle BD CD12, 14 and 16), DB4 2nd cycle BD CD10, 12,13 and 14.

Not that I am anal and remember these thing

teeheelaydee · 18/11/2007 22:10

I went to see The Jane Austen Book Club which was really good, especially if you like a good girly film and Jane Austen books. (and had some very cute men in)

Even though I was in there on my own I still couldn't bring myself to sit in the premier seats. - What a wimpy goody too shoes - I really should have rebelled.

I recommend treating yourself even if you haven't had mc. This ttc lark is stressful and we all deserve a bit of pampering if you ask me.

teeheelaydee · 18/11/2007 22:15

Blimey sk - do you write it down !? or just have a fantastic memory.

Also don't mean to sound like a dunce but what is a chemical pregnancy. Have tried to guess but thought should just ask instead.

Excitable · 18/11/2007 22:17

Thanks for the stats SK, I really am interested. If it is anal, we can be anal together, iyswim!

THL I've been secretly dying to see that film for ages. Now I'm plotting ways I could go and see it. Unfortunately this week, I'll have little time for more than working, eating and sleeping! Maybe at the weekend, or even next week...

You're right, I could definitely do with a chill out. Although this weekend has been good. DH have largely spent the time cooking and sh***g, which has been fun, but sometimes, I just long to spend some time by myself...

I think the reflexology will be helpful...
