cbd's are expensive aren't they?

goingfor3 · 20/11/2007 09:39

I tested on a day which I thought was too early and got a very faint positive on 2 tests. When I had my last scan they made me 2 days more pregnant than I thought despite the fact I was temping and using opk's. After an mc your body doesn't always have the same cycle it had before. Wait another day and see if the ilne gets darker but a line is a line!

alittlebitshy · 20/11/2007 09:40

argh - going mad

OracleInaCoracle · 20/11/2007 09:40

NO go to the doctors please! i would say that you are 8w, and you need it confirmed (will save my congrats til you know for certain)

OracleInaCoracle · 20/11/2007 09:41

a blood test would give LEVEl of hcg tho and tell you how pg you are!

ladylush · 20/11/2007 09:41

ooh, good luck albs

goingfor3 · 20/11/2007 09:43

I ghot a bfp on CD23 so it is possible to get a + at only three weeks.

ladylush · 20/11/2007 09:43

me too, got one at cd22

ladylush · 20/11/2007 09:44

to avoid any confusion - i mean in the past

alittlebitshy · 20/11/2007 09:47

but i had a pretty normal period.....

goingfor3 · 20/11/2007 09:50

It may well have been a period then. Make a dr's appointment and arrange a scan for about 4 weeks time when you could be 7 or 11 weeks, either way you will see a heartbeat and won't worry about the lack of baby if it's too early.

ladylush · 20/11/2007 09:50

cbd are expensive but so worth it when you see the word PREGNANT!

goingfor3 · 20/11/2007 09:51

What I mean is if you go sooner than 4 weeks you may worry about lack of baby but by 7 weeks you will see one there.

Another complaint re docs - every time I go to my GP, I have to start at the beginning of the miscarriage story, as he never puts it on my notes.

me: "So, now I've had four miscarriages, I wonder if I could be referred somewhere..."
him: "Four? So when were they..."
me: "Once Again, June 2005, Jan 2006, Sept 2006 and March 2007. "
Him - scribbles on piece of kitchen towel.
Him: "How many weeks were each of those?"
Me: "six, 11, 13..."
Him: "Slow down... Six. El-e-ven...."
Me: Tears Hair Out.

Repeat every time I visit the GP

goingfor3 · 20/11/2007 10:57

herbaceous wite it down each time and take it with you so you don't have to repeat the whole story, it's so frustrating!

herbaceous · 20/11/2007 11:11

GF3 - I have!

It's so frustrating. He's got notes in my file about my treatment for cattah(sp?) at age 3, but not the miscarriages - the most significant health issue of my life.

ladylush · 20/11/2007 11:31

It is so not important to them. After my last m/c I went to the dr and he said "what brings you here?" - my file was up on the computer with all the details of the erpc on it. I just pointed to the computer and said "there's your answer - Oh and can I have a sick cert please".

alittlebitshy · 20/11/2007 11:43

herby - that is frustrating!!!!!!!!!

If I am 3 weeks, i kind if wish i didn't know....... I really really thought i'd come up negative and feel assured that i'm just waiting to find out in 10 days or so about THIS month.....

On the plsu side, maybe 3 weeks bfp is a good sign?

Will go get some tests later.....

Will book dr app for next week when period due, if i can........

sweetkitty · 20/11/2007 12:05

ALBS - pity you don't live near me I have a CBD going abegging, again I would say a line is a line was it first morning wee you used? I have had a positive on a CBD at CD24 before. My CBDs were £14 odds for 2 £11 for a single from Boots, but as others have said worth it to get rid of the doubt.

herby - can't believe you GP I know their job isn't easy I don't cancy listening to old dears and all their ailments all day ling but come on how hard can it be for a referral???

alittlebitshy · 20/11/2007 12:10

I should wait shouldn't I?

Normally i try not to test before i'm 5 days late, and wouldn;t have done this time... I was just trying to get the stupid niggly thought out of my head about last month. Wanted to prove it was wrong and impossible. But i'm being silly, I had af, so i can't be pg from last month.

I really should try and wait til next week shouldn't i??

When af comes i'm going to be upset now aren't i?

alittlebitshy · 20/11/2007 12:56

just booked an app for 2 weeks today with GP.
I'd be 5 weeks (or almost 10 weeks if my insanity was anything other than insanity) - and she's my nice dr (big practice - not all so nice).

Will sit tight, occasionally wasting money on tests, trying not to worry, and driving you all insane til then - unless something else happens in the meantimr (af, sickness etc etc)

Wheelybug · 20/11/2007 13:50

Oh wow ALBS - sounds v. hopeful (I think I might go pee on a stick - seems to work around here at the mo ) but v. frustrating. Why don't you try a digital (Go on, go on, go on).

Lissie - how's it going ??

Nothing to report here - after vowing not to use OPKs anymore (didn't last month but managed some v. good - as in timing () bding to no avail) I have gone and bought some for this week as I know we're going to manage the bare minimum this month as I am ill (Have i Mentioned that ), DH is away on CD15 and when I mentioned we were 'nearing the zone' he groaned 'oh has that come round again'. Thankfully I know he'll put in the necessary effort assuming he's here but not necessarily with much enthusiasm. A girl could get a complex you know !!

TwilightSurfer · 20/11/2007 14:16

Alittlebitshy FAKE A SIDE PAIN. I know UK medical stuff is different from the US but just fake a side pain. Make sure you keep the pain low like ovary area so they "need" to do a scan to determine the problem. As long as they don't attempt to do anything that might harm your potential bean, just keep your mouth shut about the bfp. If they start to do something harmful, say (innocently of course) Oh you know I could pregnant then start counting backwards on your fingers. They still might send you for a scan.

That's what I'd do.

sweetkitty · 20/11/2007 15:31

TS - if ALBS is only 3 weeks pregnant then they won't be able to see anything yet, I would have ot go buy a CBD the not knowing would kill me I'm really impatient though.

ALBS - when do you think your next AF is due? If you are about 8 weeks you would get a v strong line, I peed on an ebay cheapie last night (last one left just had to) anyway it gave a very strong positive immediately and I am 6+5 today, they gave BFN at CD24 and the faintest line at CD26 and 27 (day AF was due) got a BFP on a CBD

Well I have just phoned the EPAS and booked a scan for next Thursday morning when I will be 8 weeks exactly, v nervous about it hope DP can get the time off work to come along with me.
