Anyone else first month ttc?

Hi guys.

I’m new here, I’m 29 (30 in May) and my boyfriend is the same. We had decided to start ttc in June time 2021 but over Christmas we both decided to ‘roll the dice’ once before and started having unprotected sex this month. I came off the pill in October time as I didn’t get on with it AT ALL.

I use Clue but only had two afs before this cycle so not sure how long my cycle actually is. We dtd most days over when the app said I was most fertile and it aligned with the cm too. I’m dry not (tmi) so I assume I’m passed it now!

With a 30 day cycle I had last month I’m due af on the 22nd but with and 35 day one (which I used to have before the pill I’d be ov around today but cm isn’t having that, well dtd anyway just in case. Then wouldn’t except af until the 27th. I’m willing it not to arrive and have decided to not even contemplate a test until the end of the month if af hasn’t arrived.

Just wondered who else is trying and in the first few months? I can’t help but reading everything I can find about early signs and feel like when we start trying properly in the few months I might go crazy!!

How are you finding it?

Afternoon everyone hope you are all well. So no AF this morning so I took another test and it looks a little darker to me? Still faint for 11DPO though and I have no symptoms at all! what do you all think am I going mad

@Grace185 good to know you can see it too! I only started tracking last month and my cycle was 28 days so going by that I should be due today

I need to pick up a prescription later so I'm going to get a clear blue digital for tomorrow morning and see what that comes back with

I don't think that's faint your period isn't even due yet for few days isit ? See if you can hold off until your period is due @PinkPantherr

@Grace185 I've been busy I think I ovulated on Monday night because I could feel it but still got a flashy smiley on Tuesday so I think I am going to trust my body and stop testing but also not get too excited. I'm not sure how long my cycles are as only jut started taking notice this month but my last period started on 27th dec they have always been prettt Regular around 28-30 days x

@Grace185 symptoms on my first I was utterly exhausted about 5 days before I tested literally couldn’t keep my eyes open for love nor money. I had acupuncture that day too and the lady even commented on how slow my pulse was & that my body was exhausted. I suspected I could be the next day (Sunday) as I’d noticed my temp staying high on the Ava app but didn’t get my hopes up too much as it had been 9 months. Tested on the Wednesday morning and was positive. I had the most ridiculous sore boobs for weeks after that 😂

@Grace185 with my DD i had no symptoms except late period. Even day after I was like nope I bet its gonna come i was so scared to test then when I did and it came up pregnant 1-2 I was terrified lol. But as soon as I found out sickness started next day upto 18 weeks I've never felt so ill in my life (sorry probs not what you wanna hear) I felt horrible all the time. I didn't start getting a bump till about 22 weeks so I just felt like you couldn't even tell i was pregnant and I looked a pale sickly mess 🤣🤣 then heartburn started, and eventually SPD. So i had to wear a hip band for the last 6 weeks and I went to 42 weeks!!!! No wonder I've waited 10 years im still traumatised haha xx

@Grace185 hi! I don't actually no I had a withdrawal bleed from the pill from the 21st-25th December then had what I assumed was AF the 6th-9th of this month? My ClearBlue OPKs told me to test on Sunday and it showed 'peak' i didnt believe it so I used another ClearBlue one which showed the same! I'm just hoping I ovulated.

How are you getting on?

@Glenpatrick ah thanks, was that before af was due? I’m 9dpo this weekend so assume nothing would happen til around then anyway!

@Rmd123 oh cool, finger crossed for Sunday they show up :) I’m just waiting tbh. I’m due af 22-27 so I’m going to wait until after that if af doesn’t arrive which I’m sure she will!

I'm not really sure what date to expect it ? But I only have an expensive test in so I aren't wasting it x @Grace185

@Grace185 sorry I meant last Sunday I showed 'peak'! It stayed on the advanced OPK for 2 days but I have a cheaper ClearBlue one and that show low fertility Sunday night and Monday so I'd say my peak was actually Saturday and Sunday. We DTD Sunday afternoon so hoping that did the trick!

Yeah I'm gonna wait til the 24th if I can lol, and if I've no AF before then I'll test. We can test together!

@Grace185 you could be totally different even i could this time every pregnancy is different. People say easy pregnancy hard birth but i had hard both so i hope this time (if it happens) I get easy easy 🤣🤣 i envy people who sail through pregnancies no stretch marks, and 2 min labours with no stitches 🤣🤣 also ladies if you haven't had a kid... this is something NOONE told me. Your fanny will look like alien vs predator after birth and don't be surprised if its 3 times its normal size!! I assumed I'd give birth get up and walk out oh hell no! I locked myself in the bathroom because I thought something was wrong with me! Haha don't worry though 2 weeks your good as new 😉

@Rmd123 ah ok :) so you’re in the wait now too haha! I’m going to try wait it out until 29th if something but no idea if I actually will. My tactic is going to be not to buy tests! I’m sure af will come before then as this would be so lucky to happen straight away but there’s hope :)

Me and hubby ttc number 2! It took us 8 months to catch with our daughter that was 4 years ago! Iv been off the pill since august and nothing come on my period Sunday morning!

I'm due to ovulation 22-25! I got so many apps lol and last month I used clearblue connected the one with the app. Hoping it will happen next month!

@Hlouise1993 of course! How’s your approach to ov going to be this month? Do you think you’ll just dtd often around the time or try to try it?

@Grace185 yep it was I wanted to test Monday morning but held out until Wednesday, period was due on Saturday (I think, it was 2019 so bit hazy on the day!). Exhausted at the moment but think that’s more down to the 13 month old than potentially being pregnant already 🤪🤪🤪

Well I try to stay relaxed about but I can't help but think when I do ovulate so probs try to try!

I feel like I think about it more this time round, on our first we never used opks just used an app!

Hi all! Back from my hospital appt. They did an ultrasound and couldn't find the lump. No cyst nothing, she could feel it and all it showed was breast tissue, they think it's controlled by my hormones. So so relieved!!

@MMG21 I had to laugh at your comment on the after look! I remember there being a full length mirror in the shower room after I gave birth the first time. I stood in front of it after having 14 stitches on my tear, I just thought WTF! Fair to say you don't stay like that, second time was a breeze! I was on the school run the next day.

@marcella64 hahaha omg Its awful no one told me!! My mum had a section with me so she didn't know. She was horrified and I had 2nd degree tear so that was worse having stitches than actual birth. My stomach collapsed too so had to have physio then when I bad my staples out they left one in and so 6 month later I had to be re done again cos skin had grown over it. Honestly people wonder why i haven't had anymore kids 🤣🤣🤣 I must be mad

Hello everyone :) I am cycle 1 TTC too, just stopped the mini pill on 6th Jan and have just finished a period/breakthough bleed today. I've started using clearblue digital opks, not because there is any real chance of ovulating just now, but just to let it calibrate and figure out how to use it. Empty circles so far of course, feeling very impatient!

@MMG21 oh the stitches!! Aesthetic ran out half way through.. I just told her to carry on! Baby one defo paved the way for number 2. Dread to think what state I'll be in now, it's 6 years since I was last pregnant.

I will defo sleep easier tonight now I've had my scan.

@marcella64 im symptoms spotting and I know im not pregnant coz I did a test yesterday 🤣🤣🤣 ive got sore nipples and my groin area hurts and feel pulling in my stomach im sick everytime i brush my teeth 🙈🙈 its mad how our minds work
