Anyone else first month ttc?

Hi guys.

I’m new here, I’m 29 (30 in May) and my boyfriend is the same. We had decided to start ttc in June time 2021 but over Christmas we both decided to ‘roll the dice’ once before and started having unprotected sex this month. I came off the pill in October time as I didn’t get on with it AT ALL.

I use Clue but only had two afs before this cycle so not sure how long my cycle actually is. We dtd most days over when the app said I was most fertile and it aligned with the cm too. I’m dry not (tmi) so I assume I’m passed it now!

With a 30 day cycle I had last month I’m due af on the 22nd but with and 35 day one (which I used to have before the pill I’d be ov around today but cm isn’t having that, well dtd anyway just in case. Then wouldn’t except af until the 27th. I’m willing it not to arrive and have decided to not even contemplate a test until the end of the month if af hasn’t arrived.

Just wondered who else is trying and in the first few months? I can’t help but reading everything I can find about early signs and feel like when we start trying properly in the few months I might go crazy!!

How are you finding it?

God that scares me @marcella64 I had a section first time! Glad nothing untoward at hospital!

marcella64 · 13/01/2021 18:07

@mrssunshinexxx I had lovely births just a huge baby! Second time I didn't get so much as a scratch I was very lucky.

I'm not symptom spotting yet, but I know I'll be itching to test by then end of next week. Does anyone do a pregnancy calculator each month to work out there due date if you fall?

leigha22 · 13/01/2021 18:52

Hello! I hope you don’t mind me jumping on here.

I took my last pill Wednesday last week and have felt every “early pregnancy” symptom since. I’ve been on my pill, cerazette for 10 years, I was expecting a long TTC journey but I’ve seen so many positive stories on here so feeling good.

Me and my partner DTD Thursday and Sunday, I had a slight very very light bleed Saturday and Sunday just when wiping - I assume this was the withdrawal bleed. Ever since I’ve had pain in my lower stomach, back ache, nausea, lack of energy, lots of wees and regular number 2s too (sorry TMI!) whilst it would be absolutely lovely, I doubt I’m pregnant so soon but I just wondered when would be best to test and also if negative do I literally just sit and wait for my period to arrive! I thought about ovulation checks but not sure I want to get into that just yet.

X

Hi @leigha22 ! If you took your last pill last wednesday it would probably be too early to ovulate/conceive given that it's only been a week..

You should defo get OPKS I swear by them, they tell you when you're low, high, and peak fertility! I hope it happens for you soon x

leigha22 · 13/01/2021 19:09

@Rmd123 hello! Thanks for replying.

I did think the same, I think the symptoms are from coming off the pill. Can’t believe how yuk it’s made me feel. Hoping to start to feel better soon

OPKS are very tempting but I’m worried about getting obsessed, I think I probably already am half way there mind 😅

Thanks! Praying for you too!! Xx

Grace185 · 13/01/2021 19:11

@marcella64 so glad you’re ok!

@MMG21 wow! That’s an ordeal!! Glad it all worked out ok!

@pbdr welcome! What are your ways of tracking or are you just having fun and staying out of the stress?

Sorry these fell into a new page!

@marcella64 when are you due af again?

@leigha22 welcome! I know what you mean about opks. I’m going to try a few months without them. Haha same, already slightly crazy and I haven’t even completed one cycle yet!!

leigha22 · 13/01/2021 19:17

Hay @Grace185 how are you getting on? I think I’ll do the same, I think if by end of March I haven’t got a BFP then I’ll start them in April. Was you on the pill too? If so, how long for? X

Grace185 · 13/01/2021 19:31

Hey @leigha22 I was on the mini pill for about 4 months and I would have months of no bleeding and then about a month of bleeding and hated it, I was so down all the time! Swapped into the combined pill but the hormones really effect me so came off. Only on them for about 8 months and just used condoms until now. I’ve only had one real cycle and that was 30d but before going on the pill I could go up to 35d. Going by my app and the 30d cycle in due af the 22nd but could be as late as 27th. I’m gonna try hard to wait until the end of the month unless af turns up. How are you finding it all? When are you due af?

@marcella64 I so hope I can have a natural next time

leigha22 · 13/01/2021 19:37

@Grace185
It’s absolutely crazy how a tiny little pill can have such a massive effect on your body isn’t it. I shall keep my fingers crossed for you, hopefully the remainder of the month goes quickly too. How are you feeling in yourself? I’m finding it all ok, there’s a lot to take in though. I think once AF comes I’ll feel more in a routine. I was on the mini pill for 10 years, didn’t have a period so who even knows. I’m just waiting for her to arrive, or hopefully not arrive and a BFP!😅 I have so many symptoms from coming off the pill, I feel like she’s on her way but just no signs of her yet.

Grace185 · 13/01/2021 19:50

@leigha22 yeah I didn’t get on with it at all! I’m fine, just would like January to be over, I hate it as a month anyway haha. I felt really dizzy this afternoon and had to have a nap which I hardly ever have but I know it’s too early to be any kind of good sign as in only about 6-8dpo!

Fingercrossed you get af soon or even better a bfp!

@Grace185 Thanks :) I have only just been off of the mini pill for a week, so I've no idea where I would be in my cycle, so at the moment I am doing cb digital opk each morning and a cheapie opk at night. Everything (unsurprisingly) negative so far but since I don't have a re-established cycle yet I've no idea when ovulation might happen so really don't want to miss it!
I wish I could stay out of the stress of it all, but I'm already in too deep Grin

leigha22 · 13/01/2021 20:13

Thanks @Grace185 my fingers shall be crossed for you!!!

@pbdr I’m in a similar situ to you! Only come off last week Weds. Not doing opk yet though, gonna see how things go. How have you been feeling? I’ve been feeling poop with every early pregnant symptom under the sun!!! X

I had one day of terrible mood swings after stopping my pill but by the next morning was right back to normal and have felt fine since. I was a bit nervous as I've been on hormonal contraception since I was 17 (30 now) so I can't even remember what a normal cycle feels like! I think I'm in the early part of my cycle so it remains to be seen how I cope closer to ovulation when all my hormones start really kicking off Confused
leigha22 · 13/01/2021 20:33

@pbdr that’s good that you felt ok, see how you go - you might be absolutely fine. I was on the mini pill (cerazette) for about 10 years, no periods and I certainly can feel it coming out my body. Wish you lots of luck on your TTC journeyGrin

pbdr · 13/01/2021 21:21

Thanks @leigha22 , so far I'm feeling fine but it is early days. After such a long time on Cerazette your body probably doesn't know what has hit it with all of these new hormones! Hopefully it will adjust soon and you'll start feeling back to your normal self :)
Thanks for the luck, right back at you Grin

marcella64 · 13/01/2021 22:05

@Grace185 af is due 23rd, I'll test at 12dpo

PinkPantherr · 14/01/2021 06:33

Bloody typical the digital one had an error message and didn't work but I think this is pretty conclusive? Can't quite believe it after only 2 months of trying deffinatly think the opk sticks helped for me! Hopefully lots more positive tests to come from those of you in the 2ww!

Anyone else first month ttc?
marcella64 · 14/01/2021 07:45

@PinkPantherr Congratulations 🥳 A lovely line! How are you feeling?
What days did you dtd with the opks?

mrssunshinexxx · 14/01/2021 08:11

Huge congratulations @PinkPantherr !!

PinkPantherr · 14/01/2021 09:05

@marcella64 @mrssunshinexxx thanks!

So I had a strong opk on CD16 but it wasn't quite as dark as the control line then got a deffinate positive opk on CD17 and then a very weak one on CD18 so pretty confident I ovulated on CD 18 as that would be 24 hours after the positive opk

We DTD on days 16 17 18 and 19

I must ovulate late as I only have a 28 day cycle so don't assume it will be 14 days before af is due x

leigha22 · 14/01/2021 09:08

@PinkPantherr lovely news to wake up to! Congratulations xxxx

Ifonly86 · 14/01/2021 09:09

Hello can I join in? I’m in the tww wait now but I think I’m out this month because we only got the chance to dtd on Wednesday 6th and I think I ovulated on 11th/12th. My bbt chart is rising but I don’t want to get my hopes up. Fingers crossed we all get bfp soon x

MMG21 · 14/01/2021 09:38

@PinkPantherr omg congratulations 👏 wow and so quick too! Sorry if you have already said this, the thread is so long now was you on pill? Injection? Implant xx
