Hi guys.

I’m new here, I’m 29 (30 in May) and my boyfriend is the same. We had decided to start ttc in June time 2021 but over Christmas we both decided to ‘roll the dice’ once before and started having unprotected sex this month. I came off the pill in October time as I didn’t get on with it AT ALL.

I use Clue but only had two afs before this cycle so not sure how long my cycle actually is. We dtd most days over when the app said I was most fertile and it aligned with the cm too. I’m dry not (tmi) so I assume I’m passed it now!

With a 30 day cycle I had last month I’m due af on the 22nd but with and 35 day one (which I used to have before the pill I’d be ov around today but cm isn’t having that, well dtd anyway just in case. Then wouldn’t except af until the 27th. I’m willing it not to arrive and have decided to not even contemplate a test until the end of the month if af hasn’t arrived.

Just wondered who else is trying and in the first few months? I can’t help but reading everything I can find about early signs and feel like when we start trying properly in the few months I might go crazy!!

How are you finding it?

Hi guys! Brand new to the site, I hope you don’t mind me joining in

I’m 27, almost 28 and ttc #1, this will be my first month officially trying, my partner and I have never used protection and it’s never happened for us in 6 years, so I’m a little apprehensive, BUT, we weren’t super proactive with our baby dancing previously, I’ve given up smoking (a year or so now) and dropped some weight (down to 22.9 bmi, so in the ‘recommended’ area) so I’m hopeful!!

ALittleOCD · 24/02/2021 06:29

@leigha22 I was due yesterday.. still nothing today but still testing negative so who knows what's going on

mrssunshinexxx · 24/02/2021 07:17

Have you tested @Grace185 Grin

ALittleOCD · 24/02/2021 07:41

AF has arrived Sad feeling a little down.. next time though Smile

Grace185 · 24/02/2021 08:01

@mrssunshinexxx so I wasn’t going to do got up and had my 6am wee. OH woke me up to say bye as he was leaving for work about 06:30 and I wasn’t able to get back to sleep (normally back asleep before he leaves the room). I stayed in bed for an hour and felt pretty sick with a headache and just felt weird so tested on a cheapie and there was something there so thought I should use my FRER to stop myself going crazy and the line came up straight away! Now kinda freaking out as OH isn’t back until 5 today!!

Grace185 · 24/02/2021 08:12

@ALittleOCD haha thank you! I had lemoncello and an Italian meats selection to have when af arrived so OH can have those now, he was eyeing them up yesterday haha. Anyone know if I should call my doctor or wait a week or so? It’s been 4.5 weeks since last af started.

Huge congratulations @Grace185 I had a feeling you would be !! Call them nearer to 7/8 weeks then you will have your first app at around 10 weeks with midwife then 12 week scan good luck'

Grace185 · 24/02/2021 08:27

@mrssunshinexxx ah thanks :) I’m now just trying to not think about anything going wrong but what will be will be. I’m not going anywhere :) I need to see you BFPs :)

It’s very true about the dehydration. Literally need to drink all the time and I’ve noticed my heart rate has been high for the last few days but didn’t want to get my hopes up.

No I don't think so @Grace185
I have those cheapies and that's it and your line is so much lighter on that one it makes me think I should get a better quality test to use at the weekend ?
I got a really strong line on that cheapie with my daughter though one day before my period was due. Are you late now ?

Grace185 · 24/02/2021 08:45

@mrssunshinexxx yeah the cheapie was rubbish, I thought it was negative then kinda saw the line so thought I need to crack open the FRER! I have another FRER and two CBs! I think I’ll use the digital one next week. Yes I’m 2 days late now.

@Grace185 omg amazing news for you! Congratulations. Such lovely news xxx

I’m out this month! I’ve come on full blown AF this morning. Kinda annoyed but more so the fact I only came off 2 weeks ago Confused I assume it’s my body getting used to being off the pill. Can I ask, im using glow to track my cycle. Do you use your full flow day as first day or your period or spotting? X

pbdr · 24/02/2021 10:27

@Grace185 CONGRATULATIONS!!! Brilliant news, you give us all hope :D

Glenpatrick · 24/02/2021 10:29

@Grace185 congrats! All so exciting 🎉🎊 I’m not sure what it’s like in your area but I didn’t go through the gp when I was pregnant I just self referred to the maternity hospital I wanted and they contacted me to sort booking in etc.

Grace185 · 24/02/2021 10:30

Thanks guys! We just dtd every other day all month with a few days doing it consecutively :)

OP posts:
ALittleOCD · 24/02/2021 15:34

@leigha22 I usually use my first full flow day as Day1. I am also full blown today. Also pretty disappointed but going to try Grace185's suggestion of dtd every other day all month and then every day over most fertile week 😂

Let's see what happens next month

Grace185 · 24/02/2021 15:48

@leigha22 I have read a lot that CD1 is full flow. @ALittleOCD yeah it took the pressure off with not using opks or looking out for ov signs. I use Ovia and Clue and just went on that. Dtd on the day of ov that the app told me just to be safe. The month before we dtd every day over the fertile time for nearly two weeks and it was too much pressure.

Hello everyone!

I'd like to join too smile Currently ttc for two months now, feel naive in saying this but was so convinced it would happen straight away - after all we were taught in school! grin

Goodies from Amazon have also arrived, so far I'm going for Clearblue OPKs (why is that static smiley face the most satisfying thing IN THE WORLD?!) and OVUM fertility supplements (contains everything recommended in the book 'it starts with the egg' that i've just finished reading. That's it for now and I'll give combo a few months before adding in anything new!

Lovely to meet you all!

mrssunshinexxx · 24/02/2021 18:45

Welcome @TTC40 that sounds a good plan I use the clear blue opks too and can agree the static smiley sight is amazing!

everysunrise · 25/02/2021 06:27

Morning ladies! Can someone please help me with my OPK result? I'm on cycle 2, and have tested every day the last few days for LH surge and this is the max I have had so far - would you say this is high? According to Flo app I would have ovulated yesterday, I just don't think my LH levels are high enough. Is this a positive ovulation result or not? Hmm
