Hi there, starting treatment in next few months after 3 1/2 years of trying naturally. Anyone else starting IVF/ICSI in next few months? I have very low AMH so odds are very low x

Hi @Furmummy glad the panic is over! Sorry I didn't see the message before now. Yes actually clinics want tests to be less sensitive often because they want to avoid picking up chemicals and weak positives. That's also why many clinics make people wait so long to test (when as you know you should actually get a positive test from about 12dpo especially on a FET where there is no trigger shot to confuse things).

My trigger has finally gone almost negative today which is 11days since I took it. Feeling slightly disheartened tho because I know you started to get positive tests from this point whereas mine is fading out.

20th isn't too long away! Exciting stuff xxx

Furmummy · 07/04/2021 11:12

@Janefx40 I found that it wasn’t till a few days of trigger shot being out my system that it showed .. I had 2 days of negatives till it showed again .. and I do wonder about multiples as my husband has 3 sets of twins in his family and they put 2 back into me .. I posted on another thread and people were saying at 8 days post transfer they didn’t have there positive yet and appeared later .. so don’t be disheartened .. I think I have been weirdly lucky with this whole process so far ... are you testing daily? Xx

Janefx40 · 07/04/2021 13:20

@Furmummy thank you. This thread has been such a lovely source of support during this time. Sometimes it's nice to be on a quieter thread - I made 2 lovely friends during my first couple of cycles back in 2018 on a thread with just three of us!

I have been testing most days. It was every other day early on and the last three. I started because i wanted to see a positive test and knew the trigger would give me one (!!) but then I was curious. Now that I'm getting to the point where it could actually reveal my result I'm not sure whether I will keep testing or not.

I don't feel pregnant. I've been pregnant 3 times - a chemical, a miscarriage and a baby. Currently not feeling it but hoping that I've got it wrong. I'm coping ok mostly because I know we are so lucky to already have a child and I thank my lucky stars every day for her xxx

Furmummy · 07/04/2021 17:58

@Janefx40 awww that’s so lovely .. I feel the same .. I haven’t really been on the bigger ones as so many people and so hard to follow - this group has really helped me through the process so thank you xxx

It’s so hard as the progesterone does funny things to you also ... realistically yesterday was my first day feeling a bit queasy .. anything earlier on for me was the side affects of the progesterone ..

I just really hope you get that positive result .. that must have been so hard going through the chemical and thx miscarriage .. the ivf process is a huge emotional journey xxx

@furmummy & @janefx40 WOW ladies things have started becoming extra real for you both with the pregnancy tests starting to show results.
As for twins OMG now that would be so amazing, keep us updated on that.

Im looking forward to hearing more after hospitsls confirm things for you ladies.

Today will be day 9 injections, another scan tomorrow and i was told at my day7 scan that egg retrieval will be Monday as they dont collect on a Saturday.

Janefx40 · 08/04/2021 19:51

@Mrs32 really exciting to have your EC booked in. Hopefully you have plenty of follicles if you are feeling sore. How have your scans been?

Sorry about your ankle! What a nightmare but maybe a good thing to take your mind off it all a bit!!

Xxx

Mrs32 · 09/04/2021 23:29

Hey girls

How are you both feeling?

So i had my day 10 scan and the follicles are giving it their all thank goodness. Im hoping we will get a few that we can freeze if they grow well.
My endo lining is 16mm, hope it doesn't keep growing 😬

Trigger shot is 8.30pm Saturday aaaaaaargh cant believe its already here and injections are finishing tomorrow YEEEEY.
Ive been told to take fyremadel shot earlier than usual so at 6 then trigger at 8.30.

The sore ankle has helped take my mind off things so it's gone quite quick but its so difficult bec i cant do daily walks and ovaries are sore so im a little bent over now - fun times.

I will keep you girls posted and i hope you all have a good weekend x

Mrs32 · 09/04/2021 23:31

@jms28 how are things progressing hun?

Janefx40 · 10/04/2021 07:18

@Mrs32 exciting!!! How many follicles do you have? Good idea to prepare your trigger 5-10 mins before the actual time so you can just inject it when 8:30 comes around without any stress. Enjoy the sedative for your EC - it's my favourite part of treatment!!!

Try to avoid bloaty foods after EC. I had a pizza the first time and ouch (and I'm not especially prone to bloating!). You don't want any additional pressure on the area so lots of liquids and keep away from anything that could bloat you or make your tummy feel too heavy.

My OTD is Tuesday. I stopped testing. It was fun testing out my trigger but when I got to the point where it could in theory show a positive (tho early) I stopped because I was getting stressed. I have been pregnant before twice plus a chemical so I'm as sure as I can be that I'm not pregnant this time but obviously hoping to be wrong.

@Furmummy how are you?

Xxx

Furmummy · 10/04/2021 07:47

@Mrs32 yes I totally agree with @Janefx40 enjoy the sedative, it was so lovely .. definitely a nice treat after all those injections. I hope all goes well. Xxx

Janefx40 aww I really hope it’s worked for you and that your wrong, it must be so hard going through it and emotional with your experiences in the past. I will be thinking of you on Tuesday xxx

I am fine just so tired all the time... all I want to do is sleep , going to have to force myself out to do a few bits as just becoming lazy xx

OP posts:
Mrs32 · 10/04/2021 10:43

@janefx40 i am praying youre wrong and all is well. Its just so tough this whole process is. Keep us updated after your Drs visit and im praying you have amazing news for us when you get back, until then lots of rest and dont be too hard on yourself because every pregnancy is different x
Thank you for the advice, im feeling the fullness of my ovaries atm which is not fun now. Feeling like a baby elephant 🐘 LOL urgh
I have a range of sizes on both sides and theyre all growing well so fingers crossed i have a good outcome. I will update when i get a definitive answer after collection.

I bought coconut water to help hydrate me bec the thirst is real.

Im going to keep you in my prayers hun x

Mrs32 · 10/04/2021 10:45

@furmummy you need lots of rest hunni and if youre sleepy go snooze and enjoy it.

Im worried about being knocked out, i always wake up crying or super emotional so im super nervous. My mums always been here whenever ive been put under so this will be a difficult experience but trying to keep positive xXx

Have a yummy treat & put your feet up

Furmummy · 12/04/2021 07:50

@Mrs32 I hope all goes well today ... you will be fine it’s only a mild sedative and just think the reason your doing it. Hope everything goes well. Xx

@Janefx40 hope you have had a nice weekend .. I have everything crossed for you for tomorrow xx

OP posts:
Janefx40 · 12/04/2021 07:57

Hi all. Best of luck @Mrs32 . Hope you have a better experience this time with the sedative. It's only very mild so might be better than in the past.

I've tested negative on a FRER this morning. Currently just feeling tired

Xxx

Furmummy · 12/04/2021 08:37

@Janefx40 Does your clinic do bloods or home test tomorrow? Sometimes the tests can be inaccurate and is still early .... That must have been upsetting to see though ... thinking of you xxxxxx

OP posts:
Janefx40 · 12/04/2021 08:44

Hi @Furmummy yes they do bloods so I'll be tested tomorrow. Thanks for being optimistic but I tested on a FRER which detects Hcg from single figures and I'm the equivalent of 14dpo so I'm not pregnant. Actually I'm now just hoping for a total negative so I don't have to go through the whole chemical pregnancy crap again (which at my clinic means more tests, extra drugs and it goes on and on).

It's ok. It's not what I wanted but I was fairly sure it hadn't worked.

Back to work today after 2 weeks so it feels like the whole chapter has suddenly ended!

Furmummy · 12/04/2021 08:50

I am sorry to hear that .. you have had a rough time with your previous history. It’s strange that you sensed earlier it hadn’t worked ...

Yes it must feel like a strange day after the month you have gone through and back to work ... really hope it works for you next time xxxxx

OP posts:
Janefx40 · 12/04/2021 09:07

Thanks @Furmummy I've been pregnant twice before through IVF and although one didn't work out in the end, it was healthy enough at the early stages. I had very similar symptoms both times that just weren't there this time.

Enjoy your pregnancy (when you can - not easy I know!). It honestly makes me feel better when other people on these threads get pregnant - it makes me feel like something positive has come out of all the craziness of IVF...it wasn't all for nothing even if it wasn't me that got the baby...besides I already have a good one and I am very grateful for that

I'll stay on the thread xxx

Mrs32 · 12/04/2021 11:12

@janefx40 im so sorry to hear that hun, im feeling quite upset for you because this whole thing is emotionally & physically taxing.
I hope youre doing okay hun. Keeping you in my thoughts & prayers are with you to always keep healthy & that youre granted evety happiness in the world going forward aameen xXx

Janefx40 · 12/04/2021 11:22

Thanks @Mrs32 I'm not a religious person but it's kind of you to think of me. Don't feel upset - I'll be just fine!!! Yes it's a sad day but I have a gorgeous daughter and I have a wonderful lucky life. You focus all that lovely energy on yourself. IVF can have really good results as proved by @Furmummy and my own DD.

How did you get on today? Hope it went ok

Xxx

Mrs32 · 12/04/2021 12:44

@janefx40 i didnt realised you are blessed with a DD aaaaaaaaw i bet shes the sunshine in your life. I do believe DDs are a real blessing. Youre super strong hun & im so glad we are able to chat on here and support one another.
