Trying for Jan BFP

Anyone else now trying for a jan BFP? 14dpo and cd27 today and now have pink spotting on wiping. Just waiting for cd1 again now x

@Chica1990 Thanks, yes we are going private with IUI as it's hard to get itnon the nhs unless you have some sort of disability or problem that stops you from having sex the natural way.
We don't know how long the wait for IVF is in my area and I'm not keen on all the injections involved in IVF (I'm not a needle fan) so will rather exhaust all options before getting IVF. Congrats on your bfp, hope it's a sticky one!

I have totally unmistakable PMT so expecting AF tomorrow 😔

@Farfaraway1 ah I’m fine thanks, it’s my first cycle since having my dd and it took ages to conceive her so wasn’t expecting it to be quick anyway!

Wow this is moving fast. I'm going back to try and read more about how everyone's month is going.

My boobs are really sensitive but I'm only on cycle day 21 and I haven't been able to confirm ovulation with the sticks. May have missed it but got a feeling with my irregular cycles it may not have happened yet and this is just a sign of that. Hard to not symptom spot and hope just a tiny bit isn't it?

AF has arrived, so I'm out. Good luck everyone else. :)

@Aozora13 how is the temping going? Mine is high at min but it usually is at this stage. Only 3rd month temping though so not much to compare it to.

How is everyone else doing? I am 6dpo and nothing to report. Not feeling like I am going to get a BFP this month. AF due in only 4 days...hoping the B vits extend my LP by a couple of days.

Hi @Catmum55566 temping going well - it’s a bit annoying but I’m enjoying the data! Temps have been consistently high for the past few days and went up 2 days after I got a positive opk so all seems to be in order. Think I ovulated cd13 so I’m now 4dpo, like you hoping I can get a decent LP but really no expectations of getting a BFP. Hope your 10 day wait passes quickly! I hate this bit.

@Farfaraway1 in answer to your question, it really depends on when you ovulate in your cycle and the length of your LP. For me I’d only be around 6dpo but if you have a “normal” LP of 14 days that’d be 9dpo so maybe 50-50 chance of BFP? How are you doing?

@Monday55 yes I agree it’s difficult which is why I wondered what you were doing - sorry I’m nosey! I had a fertility appointment booked for late feb but after they make a recommendation you would still have to wait. I was going to set myself a deadline (I was thinking May) and then just find ivf myself if I hadn’t got anywhere.

@Catmum55566 I like reading what others did differently so wanted to share! I will be going for an early scan, I had an ectopic in October so they said next time to come in before the end of the 6th week to make sure everything is in the right place.

Still no blood and got a 2-3 week result on a clear blue this morning, I hope it keeps going as I found my TTC journey a mental draining nightmare x

@Chica1990 sorry to hear you have had such a rough time, no-wonder you feel mentally drained! It all looks very positive for you though so fingers crossed!

@Aozora13 I know this bit starts to drag now....in reality I only have four days to wait but still goes slowly!! Are you planning to test before AF? I am going to try and wait and see. Like I said not holding out much hope for this month and AF will hopefully be delayed one way or another due to the vits 🤞

Hi all, have been reading and sending everyone positive vibes especially to those who got AF. So crushing every time and like the others have said, make sure you have plenty of treats lined up. @catmum55566 thanks for asking lovie - I know you're in yours too. TBH I'm not having a great one, I'm overthinking everything which is just making me a crazy person. So much so I'm thinking of testing early just to put myself out of my misery! Otherwise I've still got 6 days of this! I always usually wait for AF... Hope you're OK and that everyone else is too x

@SEpoppet sorry you are having a tough time. I think it is so hard to be distracted at the moment and with all the negative feelings of the pandemic, difficult to feel positive. If you feel it will help then test early but some people will probably say don't... there is no easy answer! Fingers crossed it will be a BFP! x

@Catmum55566 yeah, just more shadow lines. What are the odds of getting an evap line on every test I do? Nuts!

@SEpoppet hmm what brand of test are you using?? Not sure what everyone else's experiences are but I never had an evap, they are always white when BFN. The day before my BFP last month I took a test and there was nothing there, the next day I could see something then the following day a clear line. Does it show up on a picture?

Hi everyone, hope its OK to join. I am 34 and have been ttc #1 for nearly a year. I'm currently about 5DO. Have been experiencing some cramping/twinges today which is unusual for me, and also some spotting, but feel like its too early for IB. AF not due until the 19th.
I've had some bloods done with the gp last month which came back normal. If I don't get a BFP this cycle I think I'm going to ask for more investigations.

Hi everyone! Just checking in, ovulation day today 😬 kind of following the SMEP so DTD last night (got a positive OPK) and hopefully will again tonight (long day at work - won't be home until 9pm 😩) and again tomorrow! 🤞🏼🤞🏼

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here but have been lurking on the forums for ages whilst ttc. Thought I’d finally join so I can get advice & support where needed!
Have been ttc first child for just over a year. I’m 33 and partner 37. Have had some issues along the way realising my luteal phase was a measly 8 days and this being down to having under active thyroid which I’ve now been taking medication for 3-4 months for. Last month was the first time my cycle reached past 25 days which was huge for me!
This cycle I had brown spotting on day 20-21 which would work out around the time to expect implantion bleeding.. I’m now day 23 and just trying to wait it out till the end of the week and see if I can take a test or if it’s just not my month!! So hard to wait isn’t it!!

@Chica1990 I am holding out every hope for you. Those 2 lines are just the first step, aren’t they? I didn’t completely relax with my two until really the 20 week scan (neurotic you say? ) but then looking back it feels like the blink of an eye.

@Catmum55566 AF is due Friday or Saturday so I’ll probs test Sunday if she hasn’t shown by then, depending on my temps. I didn’t get a BFP til after AF was due w DC2 (DC1 was post-pill surprise so didn’t find out til later) and I think that empty white space makes me feel more sad than the red arrival of AF. But we’ll see if impatience gets the better of me! When’s your period due?

@SEpoppet sorry you’re finding it tough. I agree it’s definitely much harder to be distracted in covid times, and I’m feeling v doomy because of the pandemic which is bleeding into everything else. We’ll just go on together step by step and day by day!

Welcome @RCF2503x and @Cons33! Looks like we also have a new recruit to the short LP sub-division - that’s v interesting about your thyroid, how did you find out that’s what the prob was?

I actually found out through having all my bloods done as was concerned about having LP defect. Had no idea about having thyroid issues but made a lot of sense when dr explained symptoms etc.
My dr at the time said this would have nothing to do with fertility but after a lot of research I found this is 100% not the case and have since changed Drs!!
Funny that since taking the medication my cycles are starting to get back to normal again ( used to have a 28 like clockwork cycle until about 4 yrs ago!) so I'm really hoping this was my issue all along, and I absolutely urge anyone struggling with a short cycle to get thyroid levels checked in case!
Have had my day 21 bloods done this month so hoping for good news when I those results too.

So many obstacles to get through!!!

@Aozora13 there’s no colour in them at all, just really faint grey lines. I’m going to try one more early response test in the morning then give up for this month as my period is supposed to be due tomorrow. But I do think I either ovulated late or not at all this month. What a nightmare! I’ve done some internet cheap dip ones that were all negative and opk tests aren’t sensing any lh at all.

Hi all, checking in 👋 took a short hiatus from the chat.
I got AF at the start of jan following my MMC procedure at start of December. We were just kinda NTNP last month and I'm 99.9% sure I ovulated whilst I was still getting positive pregnancy tests.
I was happy to get AF though, reassuring my body has kind of reset and not a massive long cycle. In the FW now which has coincided nicely with my 30th yesterday 😉, just waiting on that peak.

@Aozora13 you are totally right. I feel like I see a lot of people here miscarry week 5-6 and I can’t bear the thought of this being ripped away from me so the next couple of weeks I’m gonna be a nervous wreck! It feels like it’s been 2 weeks since I found out and it was only Wednesday 🤦🏻‍♀️

Hi everyone.. hope it's ok for me to join. I had a miscarriage 6 weeks ago at 8 weeks. Bleeding stopped a week later and we DTD a couple of times before ovulation.. weren't overly ttc again.
So looking some reassurance I still haven't had a period. It's been 2 weeks since I ovulated as I was tracking so decided to take a pregnancy test just to see... And I'm getting lines 🙈 quite a faint line on the clear blue but darker on the strip..... I dunno if I want to believe I'm pregnant again?? eeeek. Attached a pic

Thanks gang for your supportive words, think I will hold off testing now. Got to put those big girl pants on and we will get through to together.
