Trying for Jan BFP

Anyone else now trying for a jan BFP? 14dpo and cd27 today and now have pink spotting on wiping. Just waiting for cd1 again now x

I also have some exciting news.....
after being 100% sure I was getting AF and resigning myself to having a little cry and being down about it all....
Yesterday AF still hadn't arrived so I did a test...

BFP!!!

So happy right now, I know it's early early days as am only 4 weeks but this is the furthest I've ever got in my year of trying so I'm very happy my body seems to be working at last.

Omg congratulations @Cons33!!!!!!!! I was just the same. Also trying not to get too excited as it’s so early and my age is not on my side. Whilst simultaneously listing baby names and planning my good bye speech at work... Wishing you an uneventful and happy 9 months!

We have been trying just over the 1 year mark now and had some issues with my thyroid that had to be sorted but that seems to have done the trick for my hormones! Have only been on the thyroid medication for about 4 months so I'm sure it's related to that entirely.

@Chica1990 sounds like you are doing well, 3+ on a digital must be a relief! I can understand you being anxious though. The early scan should bring some extra reassurance. I am a bit up and down at the min, trying to stay calm but anxious about another chemical. I have had a bit of line progression in the last few days but not a really strong line. I am still only 13dpo though which is so early so going to put the tests down for a few days. My husband is excited but also cautious after last time. Sorry for the essay, just nice to have this thread where other people understand the TTC madness.

Still a couple of weeks left in January so time for more BFPs to come flying in!

@Cons33 it feels bleak after the 12 month mark so pleased you got some great news!!

@Catmum55566 I don’t blame you, the anxiety is real. I have everything crossed! Will you be booking in an early scan?

I did a quiz on zoom with my friends last night and a couple announced they were pregnant (I’d been given a heads up earlier in the day) and for the first time didn’t spend an hour sobbing or feel like I’ve been left in a gutter. I don’t want to go back to that head space 🙏🏼

I got a very faint line this morning- 9DPO. Fingers crossed it gets darker over the coming days.

Congrats on all the BFP’s lately.
I’m 33 and come off the pill early November, my last AF was Christmas Day so I am due on Friday.
A couple of days ago I bled slightly when I wiped and late that night woke up feeling really sick, since then I have had some mild cramping. I feel like I’m going crazy with all the symptom spotting , even going as far too read up on a small patch of eczema on my arm and that it could be my hormones changing.
I hope you all don’t mind me asking but how old is everybody and how long has everybody been TTC?

I’ve just had ‘high fertility’ on CB OPKs but no peak for the last week and a bit, so I think I’m out for this month. Bit gutting to not even get a peak! I wonder if pregnacare has messed up my cycle.

@Kaz1987 I’m 30 (DH 32) and have been TTC since October last year. Feels like forever though!

@Kaz1987 I'm 35 and this will be my second baby. I had my son when I was 30. Both this time and last time we conceived the first cycle (although I only have a very faint line on my test today so fingers crossed it's sticky).

Have told DP and although we are both excited we are trying to stay cautious and not get too carried away being so early. This is going to feel like the longest time ever waiting for a safer zone...

@Kaz1987 I am also 33! DP 37. Been trying for just over a yr and this is our first positive in that time! (Had other problems I've mentioned in previous post though!)

@Kaz1987 welcome! Santa also brought my bastard period on Christmas Day! I also had some spotting which sent me panicking a couple of days ago, then cramping and pinching but only on one side. So I’m feeling v hopeful for you! I’m 39, been ttc DC3 since September.

@Billythecat sorry you haven’t had a peak yet. I’ve read others saying pregnacare messed up their cycles too - I don’t really understand what’s in them that might do it though! I’ve had no probs and in fact am wondering if all the B vits have helped improve my chances, but I have issues with a short LP. Have you considered temping also? I’m a bit crap w OPKs and found it helpful this month to cross reference with temp charts. I only used cheapies though, not sure how the CB ones work.

@Billythecat Tell me about it, I mentioned it on another post but all this years of school being drilled in to our heads how we could get pregnant when it’s a lot harder than we think 😂

@Chica1990 glad to hear you are feeling in a good headspace. You have had a rocky TTC road though so only normal to feel upset at announcements in the past. In a few more weeks it will be you doing the zoom announcement! Yes I will be going for an early scan but going to try and hold off till 8 weeks if I get that far. It will be a long 4 weeks!

Hi @Kaz1987...I am also 33 and TTC #1. DH is 39. I have been lucky really as only been TTC since Sept, which is a blink of an eye compared to some. Fingers crossed for you as your symptoms sound promising.

@Billythecat first month I used CB I had 9 days of flashing with peak on day 10 so keep going.

Feeling less anxious now thanks @Aozora13. I did a FRER yesterday afternoon after leaving a 2 day gap and the line was stronger, almost the same as the control line. I am still not at the excited stage yet - I need to channel some of your lovely positive energy! I think that is a good sign about needing to wee a lot even though it is a pain 😂.

@SEpoppet - I second what Aozora said. Has AF left the building? How are you doing?

Hi ladies, I'm rejoining this thread (I joined right at the start but was out at the beginning of the month when AF arrived on 2nd Jan). I'm now 3DPO again so still time for a line this month!

Congrats to everyone with a BFP so far. Looks like this is a lucky group!

I'm 34, TTC #2 - this will be our third cycle trying after a MC at 13 weeks in November. Tracking using OPKs and this month I temped for the first time too. Trying to stay grounded rather than get my hopes up and start symptom spotting!

Welcome back @legohaus and good luck for this cycle.

For all the symptom spotters, mine were pretty much indistinguishable from AF symptoms, and I still feel like she’s about to arrive despite getting my BFP on Sunday!

Hope everyone is doing well and my fellow BFPers are less neurotic about the whole thing than I am currently...

@Aozora13. Hope all is ok with you! Things aren't great here. Sadly, after getting stronger lines for a few days my tests have now stayed the same. Looks like I am heading for another early MMC. Will be going for bloods next week if no bleeding beforehand. Please don't let this worry about your little bean though. I have been looking at stats recently and there is a much better chance of having a successful pregnancy than not. I know it is so difficult not to be worried but try not to stress.

Oh @Catmum55566 I’m so sorry to hear that. I really hope it’s just a quirk of the tests, but I can understand why you are concerned. Sending you a massive virtual hug and handhold through the next few days, hoping so much for a positive outcome for you and little bean.

@Catmum55566 I really hope that's not the case, if it makes you feel better I did another test a few days ago which was still really faint but today did one that's strong. Maybe it's just taking a while to for it to show up as a really strong line? Also I've heard from others that some tests just never give a strong line, which ones are you using? Loads of luck I hope things work out ok.

I'm so paranoid so can understand you second guessing, I haven't allowed myself to get excited at all I just want to get to 6 weeks before I tell myself it could actually be happening and think about calling the dr. Currently on 4 weeks 6 days according to app... such an agonising wait. Definitely not just you on knicker watch @Aozora13 !!

This cycle has been so weird- finally got my peak on OPKs today on CD23! Bonkers as my cycles are usually 28 days long. I thought I would just not ovulate this month but glad it seems to be happening now. Staying off pregnacare for the time being
