Trying for Jan BFP

Anyone else now trying for a jan BFP? 14dpo and cd27 today and now have pink spotting on wiping. Just waiting for cd1 again now x

@SEpoppet how many dpo are you? I saw your message about a 16 day LP. That seems like a long time to wait but great to have a long LP for TTC. I worry about mine as it seems short, usually 10/11 days but even had a 6 day one!! I am offically in the TWW and I am glad to have a break from DTD to be honest...sounds bad but we went all out this month

How is everyone else doing? We need some BFPs to brighten up what looks like a crap month ahead!

Hello, no BFP from me yet as am slap bang in the middle of fertile week, and ovulating imminently if the OPKs are anything to go by.

@Catmum55566 hope your TWW is not too interminable. I also have a short LP - 10 days if I’m lucky. My cycles are usually 23-24 days but been more like 22 since I got Covid. So on the flip side, extra chances to conceive, but also extra periods which is No Fun At All.

@SEpoppet thank you for your kind words. I’m still not feeling hopeful, but I’m not feeling hopeless either so will go with that. How’s your TWW going?

Hey ladies hope it’s ok to join in. This is my very first month of TTC, Last AF ended on 30th Dec it’s all a learning curve for me, I really am completely new to the scene so no idea what will happen within the first few weeks I’m 27 & DH is 30!

Hi ladies, I’m well and truly fed up here. I got what I thought was the most faintest of lines on a test yesterday, was only about 8dpo so made sense it was incredibly faint. I’m even too scared to post a picture here in fear that someone says they can’t see it. Thought I’d hold off testing for 48hrs, couldn’t handle it and tested again 24hrs later which, if I’m honest with myself looks like a BFN. I’m just so pissed off, with myself for testing early, for symptom spotting, for trying for 13 months, for the losses I’ve had. Just pissed off!! So I’ll be having a drink or two tonight and WILL NOT test until Saturday when I should be about 12dpo and that should show a more substantial, even if slightly faint, line. 😣 sending baby dust to all and really hoping to see some BFP’s from others soon to give me hope!! Xx

@shannonl26 thank you! It’s been a while as I have been trying since July 2019 and had an ectopic in October. I’m nervous/cautious but I really hope this is it 🤞🏻

@Catmum55566 and @Aozora13 I never thought about it like that, now you mention it it is a long time to wait - haha! But you're right, I think a long LF is a good thing?! I am 6 dpo (I think, didn't do OPKs - just going off ovulation pains) and nothing interesting to report. Weirdly I still have mild ovulation pains, I do get them for a few days but can't remember it going on this long before. But then I do notice every little thing now whereas I didn't give it a second thought before! I'm sure it means absolutely nothing. Not having a great day, feeling like it's all a bit hopeless. DH has a varicocele (like a varicose vein in the testicle) which can affect fertility so I have it in my head we won't get pregnant naturally. He has said he will go for private SA if it doesn't work this month which I am happy about as I would rather just know so we can think about options!

I am a teacher (shh don't tell anyone ) and normally would be running around at school and not thinking about things so much...but we are all at home all day with plenty of time to get anxious...sigh...
However, I suppose that means more time to DTD next month! Think I might try and get DH to do it every day in the fertile window. We normally do it every other day - what does everyone else do?

@Aozora13 thank you so much hun 😘 that made me feel a lot better. Can’t beat some statistics eh 😂 so I messed about editing a photo of the second test I did and still see an EXTREMELY faint line so will see what Saturday morning brings 🤞 it’s going to be bloody hard to hold out testing though!!

@Farfaraway1 thank you so much and good luck for Saturday! I feel your pain, after the 12 month mark it’s horrible, I’m 17/18 months deep to this and ready to get into the next phase. Fingers crossed for us both 🤞🏻

@Aozora13 oh I didn't think about shorter cycles and extra periods. I wanted mine to be a bit shorter so I am not waiting so long for ovulation, but then the positive is only 1 visit from AF each month. I suppose there are positives and negatives to each. Hopefully you will soon be in the TWW ....or rather the 10 day wait in our case!

@SEpoppet - yes I have read a bit about LPs now, 16 days is great. I am going to take B vitamins this month as from reading around it seems to lengthen it. Sorry to hear you are feeling this is not your month. At least DP is on board with SA and it might not have any impact on TTC at all. I am a teacher too! It has been a busy few days but I am sure teaching from home will provide less distraction from everything than it would being in class. I get ovulation pains about a week before and they carry on a few days after a peak OPK. Assumed this was normal but now it has made me think. As for DTD don't have a set plan, sometimes only twice the whole week and then like this cycle everyday . So sorry can't help there. The cycle of the CP was the one where we DTD least as DP was ill and days before O, do I thought there was little chance....so I think it is just the luck of the draw!

@Farfaraway1 sorry to hear you are feeling fed up. Yes 8dpo is early but it is hard to avoid the temptation to test. Fingers crossed the line will be more visible in a few days.

I’m due on next week. I don’t know when I ovulated as I missed my peak but I’m feeling sick and my boob hurt and I’m knackered so fingers crossed. Not sure when to start testing!

@Catmum55566 I believe I’m 11 dpo as my ava bracelet said I ovulated on 26th Dec. We didn’t actually do it that day and when I noticed it had ticked that day I was gutted we hadn’t done it! The 6 days in a row we did it before hand must have done it.

This was also the first month I used a ferti Lily cup and would stay on my back for 20 mins after doing the bd as I had time off. I don’t have any EWCM when I ovulate so used conceive plus lube but actually used those applicators to get it right up there!

@Farfaraway1 you’re welcome, I like to have a stat for every occasion - fingers crossed for your nice bright BFP on Saturday (if you can hold out til then!)

@Catmum55566 thank you - I think I ovulated yesterday; peak OPK Tuesday lunchtime which had faded by the eve (I’ve been peeing on many sticks) then a temp rise this morning. Sad to say I got v excited as it’s my first month charting and I was worried I’m not ovulating which is causing the short cycles. Let me know how you get on w B vits I’m considering taking a vit B complex but am also on pregnacare which seems pretty B-heavy, although maybe in lower amounts than the dedicated one? Who knows, maybe it’s just making expensive wee but I feel better for trying!

@SEpoppet my eldest is in reception and after homeschooling I’m ready to march in the street to cheer for teachers, I do not know how you do it! We DTD every other day, being old and knackered that’s as much as we can manage. I’ve read about giving time for balls to recharge rather than doing it every day but don’t know if that’s actual science!

Hey again everyone, huge congrats to those who have had their BFP!

I have no symptoms but holding off to test over the weekend. I got a BFN at 8DPO and was so upset (even though it’s obviously too early!) so I haven’t bought any more tests and staying strong to test at the weekend.

After my miscarriage I have all sorts of levels of anxiety and don’t know how to feel about anything!

Question.. would you expect to see a mostly obvious, but faint, BFP on a FRER 5 days before your period is due?? X

@Farfaraway1 that would only be 7dpo for me, so no. I’ve been pregnant three times (2 MCs) and have got positive tests at 9dpo, 11dpo and 13dpo. For the 13dpo one I tested at 11dpo with a frer and got a negative. I’m not sure there’s any rhyme or reason to it.
