Lots of threads about TTC baby #1 so looking for someone baby #2 support!

If so how old is your current DC and what made you realise it was the right time?

DD has just turned 1 and we are thinking about #2 very soon! DD took 14 months to conceive so I’m prepared for another long slog...although a bit panicky that it could happen sooner! Am also still shifting some baby weight that clung on nicely during both lockdowns

Anyone else?

Can I join you guys. DC is 8 months old and I’m thinking about ttc number 2 as I always wanted a small age gap.

I’ve been meaning to come back on this thread for a while but then kept forgetting. Christmas was manic as it was also my DS birthday, we went into tier 4 so had to cancel our family visits and all my sons bday plans were cancelled, but never mind it is what it is! I did keep it a surprise until Christmas Eve and I was glad I didn’t try to do it on Christmas Day because everywhere was in chaos with toys and wrapping paper!

Aaah how did your DH react @MrsXx4? Was he excited? And how are you feeling? Hope all's going well so far!

I ovulated four days ago and I'm already symptom spotting like an absolute lunatic. Period due on Sunday (I have crazy short cycles and a v short luteal phase) so at least I don't have to wait for long!

So I have been getting a really stuffy itchy nose today - thought I'd just check before taking an antihistamine as period is due tomorrow and just got a bfp! Woohoo!

@Mybobowler he was quite shocked, he said he had no idea and the first thing he said was ‘ah babe I’ve been giving you such a hard time!’ Because I’d been so tired and he didn’t understand why I just had no energy lol! I’ve been feeling ok but have no appetite even though I am starving most of the time. I am spotting a little bit at the moment so I’m just holding tight and hoping it stops! Will keep you all updated.
It’s good you have a short cycle! The tww can feel like an eternity!!

@Mybobowler this is my first cycle trying. Cd20 right now and I'm usually 27 days. Haven't tracked ovulation, think I will start to if we're unsuccessful after a few months.

Hello ladies, I also had the most manic December with last minute cancelled Christmas plans and getting people’s presents to them last minute etc

Ended up just us 3 on Christmas Day which was new, but equally as lovely. I cooked Christmas dinner and didn’t set foot in the kitchen again until last night, I found it very stressful! Haha.

In other news...I HAVE STARTED TTC! I’m on cycle 1 now. No idea if I’ve ovulated, I don’t think I have but I’m on CD18 and my OPKs are negative still haven’t tested today but will the next time I need a wee. I could have potentially O’d on CD14/15 as I felt some EWCM but it was in the shower and could also have been DH’s erm...leftovers. LOL. So sorry if that’s TMI. I don’t hold back.

Thanks @mamaatthegym starting to think about TTC again soon. Hoping to wait for a period but my cycles can be really long with short luteal phases So I’m not sure how long we’ll be waiting!

I’ve had almost no bleeding post-surgery so just waiting for a negative test before we go again 🤞🏼

Thanks @mamaatthegym! About 9months but I felt much more relaxed about it this time round so it felt a lot shorter than the year to conceive #1!

We’re on month 2 of trying for #2 my little girl is 15 months now and we got caught first time lucky with her! I knew that would never happen again but I’m already moaning to my hubby I’m so impatient and defo need to relax more! Any tips that’s works for anyone before would be amazing xxxx

@babblingbrooks good to hear, I’ve just started my first packet of seven seas! I finally found them again after they’d sold out haha. I also conceived last time after starting my first pack but was probably coincidence!

Update: I’m actually on CD19, just did an OPK and it’s stark negative. Luckily even when I wasn’t TTC I tracked my cycles last year and just had a look. Well, I’ve ovulated on a different day every month, ranging from CD11 to CD28!!! So not a chuffing clue when I’m going to this cycle and I feel like I don’t want to start obsessing over OPKs just going to leave it now and DTD every couple of days and wait to see if AF shows

Never too late @mrssunshinexxx welcome! Hope they come soon, I need to order some more as the ones I’ve got are a dodgy batch with barely any dye so even the control line is a bit of a squinter! I can just about tell if they’re negative or not

Well af is here for me 🙄 roll on fertile window, going to try some cheap opk's this time I think as having a 28 day cycle this time and a 21 day cycle last time is messing with my head lol, I just want to know when the fertile window is!

To the lady who asked about tips, when we ttc first time we were so lucky and caught first time like a couple of others on here.
I took the 7 seas vitamins for 2 months before actually ttc while in the third pack/ I had legs in the air and pillow under bum for like 20 mins after dtd and no expectation of a bfp first time! This time I've not had the pillow under the bum as there's no time for that nowadays lol!

hi 👋 I am TTC #2 I think my age gap is the largest my DD is almost 10! I have always put it off and there's always been an excuse and my husband was always adamant he didn't want anymore and ive always gone along with it but deep down upset about it. We have compromided and decided to give it a try and if it doesn't happen in a year that's it. I stopped my pill and had withdrawal bleed 22nd- 27th and had sex every other day since. @mamaatthegym I think we're on roughly the same schedule! I'm currently CD22, think I ovulated around CD14 but, thanks to my short cycles, my period is actually due tomorrow. Like an idiot, I took a test yesterday - naturally, it was negative but I did get a nice evap line to obsess over. Does anyone know much about FRERs? Can I take one tomorrow, even though I'll only be about 9DPO? We never really tried for DD - I think we had one brief discussion that a baby might be nice and, seemingly, that was all it took - this is all a bit new to me!

How late do people catch ovulation I'm on cd14 and still blank smiley x
