Anyone TTC #2?

Lots of threads about TTC baby #1 so looking for someone baby #2 support!

If so how old is your current DC and what made you realise it was the right time?

DD has just turned 1 and we are thinking about #2 very soon! DD took 14 months to conceive so I’m prepared for another long slog...although a bit panicky that it could happen sooner! Am also still shifting some baby weight that clung on nicely during both lockdowns

@timeforanother1 yes - tests still positive and bleeding/spotting tailed off. According to dates I should be 5w 1d so planning to book a private scan for just after New Years 🤞🏼

My period has just shown up slightly early, so this is officially CD1 of our first month trying. I really hope this thread's luck continues!

Feeling excited now but trying (...and failing 😂) so hard to not think about it for a bit. I’ve just been offered a new role at work so that’s something to keep my mind busy for a few weeks!

Well I'm pretty sure I'm in my fertile window and dd doesn't nap in the day and I've got a takeaway arriving for 15 mins after bedtime 🙈 you know when dtd goes straight out the window... not good when according to apps I ovulate tomorrow/ Monday. Hope he's ready for it tomorrow eve 😂
Does anyone else find though when you do the 'now- I'm ovulating' they back off because of the pressure to perform?
I remember ttc first time we ended up arguing and not dtd for the remainder of the fertile window and we actually caught!

Hope it happens soon this time I think the impact of not succeeding constantly must really affect mh.

I know a bit what you mean @timeforanother1, I don't think it's pressure necessarily but our fertile week always seems to coincide with tiredness, illness other LO sleeping poorly etc! I don't know how many times I've explained that women are only fertile for a few days so we can't make a baby next week! Feeling a lot more chilled about it this time round though, which I am thankful for.

Just thought I'd check in here to see how everyone's getting on? Any updates?

@MrsXx4 did you manage to keep the news to yourself until Christmas day?

I'm supposed to be ovulating this week but my temps are all over the place, so I'm not feeling hopeful. Fingers crossed for some other January positives though!

@Mybobowler can you keep dtd every 2 days to give yourself every chance?

Is it just me, or is Christmas a total mood-killer? I know it's supposed to be cosy and romantic, but in reality I'm just bloated and tired! I'm due to ovulate on Friday though, so I should probably muster up some enthusiasm

Yes @Mybobowler I know what you mean I love that over Christmas it's totally legitimate to eat all day, but it does make you lazy!
I'm 8dpo so naturally I'm full of symptoms and can literally feel a baby implanting right now like every other month! Fingers crossed we all get a new year bfp!

I got my BFP this morning (10 DPO) Feeling all sorts of emotions and feelings at the moment. Had a hellish pregnancy with DS so really nervous.

@timeforanother1 it was impossible to see on an IC but clear on FRER.

@Mybobowler Thanks. I really hope so too. They say every pregnancy is different but I know statistically I have 10% chance of it happening again. Just gotta hope for the best. 😊

What's IC and FRER please though anyone?

@timeforanother1 IC is internet cheapie. You know those weird looking tests that are just a tiny little strip?

FRER stands for First response early response. It's the most sensitive first response test available.

In my picture I have an IC on top and a FRER below it. They're both meant to be similar sensitivity but you can see how clear the FRER is and the IC looks totally negative in the picture. In person I thought I saw a shadow of something which is why I did the FRER.

@timeforanother1 I've got 17 ICs left so I've carried on doing them. Today's was visible, but I'm still not sure a camera would pick it up. Today was 11DPO. I expect tomorrow's should be visible at 12DPO.

I'm planning to do my other FRER on Monday when my period should officially be late. I'm hoping it'll be a blazing BFP by then 👍😊

Really debated posting here again or not. I didn’t want to bring the mood down! Sadly it has ended in mc for us and I’m due to have surgical management today.

We will be TTC again in the new year.

Fingers crossed positives all around (and is too, eventually..), it’s keeping me positive seeing others’ hopeful stories!
