Anyone TTC #2?

Lots of threads about TTC baby #1 so looking for someone baby #2 support!

If so how old is your current DC and what made you realise it was the right time?

DD has just turned 1 and we are thinking about #2 very soon! DD took 14 months to conceive so I’m prepared for another long slog...although a bit panicky that it could happen sooner! Am also still shifting some baby weight that clung on nicely during both lockdowns

Anyone else?

@DinkyGT aah yeah I do love it down here. I complain all the time about how provincial it is (moved back when DD was born to be nearer to family, after six years of city living in my twenties!) but it's lovely to be so rural and near the sea. Do you think you'd move back?

Temping is such a PITA. It was causing me so much stress that I decided to stop for this month and it's definitely helping me to to keep TTC off my mind a bit. I kept finding myself going back to study my charts/compare cycles - I was getting so obsessive about it!

Is anyone doing/has done SMEP? It's our first month trying it and it does make a lot of sense, but I'm tired! 😂

@May2311 @dunkedbiscuit yeah definitely getting carried away too but how special would it be?! Also, having a newborn baby would be a once-in-a-lifetime excuse to get out of doing all the washing up.

I was heavily pregnant with DD over Christmas and I loved it. It must have been all the mother/child imagery (not at all religious, but it's unavoidable) but it felt quite magical. I did miss the wine and fancy cheese though, I'll be honest.

@Mybobowler 🤣 yes very good excuse for getting out of the washing up! If I fell this month I would be due early December so the other good thing is I wouldn't be in hospital over crimbo hopefully!! Xxx

@Mybobowler I would definitely move back as soon as we can - I can't deal with being land locked - I need the sea!

I have to admit the temping is getting quite obsessive at the moment - I'm constantly looking at my chart and other charts and I just need to chill!

I tried explaining/getting DP on board with SMEM but I still think he doesn't quite understand why it's helpful! 😂

Hello! We had a lovely weekend thanks, hope everyone else did too?

I think I'm 2 DPO today. I'm feeling a bit "meh" about another TWW (more like 10 days in my case!). I've managed to get my hopes up every month, and I'm already bracing myself for disappointment. That said, we managed to execute the SMEP method perfectly and I ovulated slightly earlier than usual, so I feel like we're at least in with a decent shot this time?!

Is anyone testing soon? Where is everyone in their cycle? If anyone wants to join me for some insane symptom spotting later this week, I would love the company 🤪

@Mybobowler I'm 6DPO and it is going so slow. I'm the same and already feel I'm out this month as I feel completely normal and no symptoms. I think I should be due AF next Sunday but I'm already thinking if it doesn't show should I test or wait a few days just in case I got my dates wrong🙈 I hate seeing BFN & would prefer AF to arrive than that I think! Up for symptom spotting this week though- keeps me sane 🤣 well done on sticking to SMEP- it's hard going I think we might try next month if we don't fall this month.

I have a FRER- do you ladies think it will show on Sunday even if my days are 2-3 days out? I would be 12DPO.

@May2311 I swear time goes backwards in the TWW! I'm totally the same about testing early - I can't stand seeing that single line and anyway, tests are expensive! On the FRER - I got a thin but unmistakable positive with DD when I was about 10DPO, so I reckon you'll be fine for Sunday.

@LoopeyK happy birthday to your little girl! Oooh 11DPO, when do you think you'll test? Fingers crossed!

Thank you, test Friday when af is supposedly due, but I'm not hopeful, had a Yr of no positives so may even just wait until the weekend tbh

@May2311 still floating about waiting for some more BFP's ! Don't think you're out because you feel normal I had no symptoms either time and both times fully expecting negative que,, gob smacked !!

My LO has been teething the past week and then woke this morning with a full on cold ( nose won't stop running!) So I expect she will keep me busy for a few days! How many DPO were you when you tested? Xxx

@May2311 I think I'll probably cave and test next Tuesday with an FRER, I'll be 10DPO and that's the day AF is due. It feels a lifetime away 😅

Stay tuned for symptom spotting updates. I definitely put far too much stock in my imagined symptoms. I swear I "just knew" that I was pregnant with DD because I had some weird signs (electric shock type pains and I randomly went off alcohol) but I know it was just coincidence - I've managed to convince myself I had the same symptoms every month since we started ttc this time around! Still, passes the time I guess!?

@May2311 I'm 7+1 now it's dragging but atleast I know I will definitely have my scan next month. Oh poor things aren't germs a pain in the arse !
I was 13dpo my thought process was 'gunna do this test then I know I aren't pregnant for sure and can start being really grumpy about it '

@May2311 feel fairly nauseous 24/7 gone off most food just want crap! Felt like this with lo so I am very intrigued to know if another girl

@mrssunshinexxx ooo you will have to let us know when you find out!!! Hahaha yes I think that's my rationale- the longer I leave it if it's BFN then I will know it's defo correct ( if AF doesn't arrive beforehand!)

@Mybobowler oooo we will be very similar times- fingers crossed we get our BFP together! If I'm in my reluctant to test mood I might wait till Tuesday but probably not as hubby will pester me to test🤣

@Mybobowler I think I'm the same as you 2dpo. Although not sure when I'm due AF as seems to come early, only 6/7 days post ovulation. I'm ok when I'm at work but on my days off can't stop symptom spotting.

I won't test until AF is late, if it ever is! If I test and get a negative, I would then just be googling about people who get negative results that then turn out positive and drive myself crazy!!

Hey ladies, I think I’m going to test tomorrow when AF is due (unless the witch turns up in the meantime) I have low expectations for this month but still clinging onto a bit of hope, so looking forward to knowing either way and being out of limbo land. I shall report back in the morning!

@LoopeyK and @May2311 you guys are my test buddies this week! I hope we have a week of BFPs all round!

@dunkedbiscuit ooo yes! You can start us off with a BFP!

We will be carrying on as I am of the view you never know if your going to come early, late or on time anyways so may not be right on Christmas anyways!

We’ll be carrying on trying despite Xmas, at this point I just want a bfp regardless of due date (although having said that it’s only been since November and we were both v ill with covid for a month so I don’t know why I’ve got such huff expectations!)

I agree with you guys too, if no luck this month we’ll carry on next although I may take a break from OPKs and so much tracking, it makes me feel really stressed about the whole thing

Planning on carrying on TTC next month although it may get dialled back a bit as DP will be pretty busy.

I'm symptom spotting already 🤦‍♀️ sore nipples and resting heart beat still rising on my Fitbit (probably does this every month!)
