Anyone TTC #2?

Lots of threads about TTC baby #1 so looking for someone baby #2 support!

If so how old is your current DC and what made you realise it was the right time?

DD has just turned 1 and we are thinking about #2 very soon! DD took 14 months to conceive so I’m prepared for another long slog...although a bit panicky that it could happen sooner! Am also still shifting some baby weight that clung on nicely during both lockdowns

Anyone else?

Hi everyone, sorry I’ve been a bit quiet on here for the last week or so. I’m 8/9 dpo and trying to wait until AF is due before testing, its driving me nuts though! Is anyone else in TWW too?

@LoopeyK that’s a nice idea, I’m from Hampshire, age 33 and this would be #2 for us, our little boy had just turned 2.

@dunkedbiscuit it goes so slow doesn't it!! I'm only 3DPO 😑. I'm due on around Sunday 28th and will do my best to wait till then to test it AF doesn't arrive before! X

@dunkedbiscuit exactly the same. I’m 10DPO today. Have been feeling a bit queasy these last few days so hoping that’s a sign but trying not to get my hopes up in case I’m disappointed.

I’m 39, from south london / surrey borders. This will be # 2. DD recently turned 2 and we’ve been trying 3 months so far.

I agree the TWW goes really slow, already dreading it and I've not even ovulated yet!

I'm 34, we live in South Wales on a farm. TTC #2, DS will be 3 in May (not sure where that time has gone), I'm an accountant and work 3 days a week. We got engaged in July but want to have had #2 before we get married, keep getting asked when we are setting the date, Covid is a great excuse at the moment, don't know what excuse I will use in a few months if still not pregnant! Feel like I can't plan anything until we have conceived. DS is desperate to go on holiday (he's never been!), we have a tent that we've never used so we may have to use that! He's also desperate to go and see my parents but they live nearly two hours away, so we haven't seen them since autumn.

Such lovely stories, so nice to hear all of them.
My LG is 4 on Monday, it's surreal where time goes isn't it

@Jellybean023 ooo I hope the queasiness is a good sign! I’ve not had any symptoms at all, other than feeling tired - but I think that’s standard life with a 2 year old! When do you think you will test?

@May2311 yes soooo slow!! I think I’m going to try to wait until AF due date too to see if she rocks up first, otherwise with the combo of OPKs and early testing I’m spending a fortune to just then have a period 🙄 I expect I’ll cave sooner though!

@dunkedbiscuit I’m planning to wait till AF due so prob later next week. Don’t want to waste the money testing beforehand if I can possibly hold out. Last time round I waited a full 3 days after.

It's definitely tough in the tww, im 8dpo I have 3 tests here for pregnancy but if I go by my tracker I'm due af next Friday, I've also wasted so much money testing early and when due for af to arrive. Which tests do you guys use?
I've tried cb and first responses

I used FRER with my first and will use the same this time. I did then use CB weeks indicator once I had my positive. I'm quite good at not testing early as I hate the "well have I tested too early" situation where if it's a BFN it could still not be right so will wait till AF due date!

I'm not even pregnant yet and already started talking about what due date "would" be and the birth🙄🙄🙄🙄 anyone else like this? I feel silly as not even pregnant yet!!!

Yes I'm waiting, I waited last month too, it's only a week to wait ✋🙃
What's FRER?
I always check due date lol, would of much preferred this Yr, only wanted a 4yr gap but looking more 4.5/5yrs, which is frustrating as we kind of wanted a 3rd baby too, but will have to try for that one when #2 is around 1 if it takes another Yr 🥺

Ah yes I've used those before.
Well just to be able to have #2 would be nice 12months of trying and I'm loosing hope tbh

@LoopeyK ah sorry I didn't realise you had been trying a year already. have you spoken to GP yet to get checked out? I'm sure everything will be fine, I think it just sometimes takes longer for some people. Xx

It's 12 months this month, so we will contact drs if negative this month, with #1 I stopped my pill, got married a few days later snd by the beginning of next month I was pregnant, so never thought it would take so long, but with such a stressful Yr that may of had a huge impact, not just covid but had quite alot of upset surrounding us

Can it be possible to feel nauseous 8dpo or too early? I have a headache and feeling really nauseous!
I felt a little nauseous a couple of days ago when I got up and a little dizzy, but felt fine an hour later

@LoopeyK well I’ve definitely been feeling nauseous since then this month, but then I don’t know if I’m pregnant yet.

I'm 35, currently live in Northampton.

We have only just started trying for #2 - DD is 5 and I previously didn't want to have another but as time has gone on I've come to think more and more about it and would love DD to have a sibling if we are lucky enough.

@LoopeyK that would be around the time for possible implantation so perhaps could be linked to hormones starting to increase? Really hope it is that!!!

@DinkyGT ahh yey! Your at similar point as me- I'm 3DPO. When will you be due AF? X

@DinkyGT we can symptom spot together 👍 Although I feel absolutely normal so feel like it's defo a no this month even though it's really early 🤣

Ooh @May2311 and @DinkyGT can I join your symptom spotting club? Think I'm ovulating today or possibly yesterday, but I'm not temping this month so can't be sure (positive OPK yesterday morning!).

So nice to hear a bit more about everyone. I'm 32 and live in the South West. My job is weirdly specific and a bit outing! We have a two year old DD and I've always wanted a 2.5/3 year gap, so fingers crossed it happens soon.

Also May - I always look up due dates as well! At the start of every new cycle, I can't help myself. I quite like the idea of having a newborn at Christmas but I'm getting ahead of myself here!

@Mybobowler I'm from the south west originally! Really miss living there - ideally I'd love to bring up my family down that way.

My temping was thrown off this morning as my DD woke me up at 3 and then I had to get up at half 5 anyway so it won't be accurate ...I wanted to see if my temp rose at all today to check double check I'm tracking Ov properly but will have to see tomorrow now.... so much waiting 😆

Haha glad I'm not the only one! I know it would be lovely having a newborn at Christmas!! I'm the same in getting excited that if I fell this month I would be due on or around our wedding anniversary!

@DinkyGT I gave up on tempting as I was just rubbish at not going to the loo in the night 🙈

@Mybobowler I’ve also got swept up with the idea of a little newborn at Christmas.. I need to stop getting ahead of myself!
