Anyone TTC #2?

Lots of threads about TTC baby #1 so looking for someone baby #2 support!

If so how old is your current DC and what made you realise it was the right time?

DD has just turned 1 and we are thinking about #2 very soon! DD took 14 months to conceive so I’m prepared for another long slog...although a bit panicky that it could happen sooner! Am also still shifting some baby weight that clung on nicely during both lockdowns

Anyone else?

I got a blank circle again!
So confused now as my cycles are usually really regular and - I thought - relatively predictable but my chart is indicating ovulation in the next couple of days and the OPK is not!
It would be flashing if that was the case wouldn't it?
Also, really bizarre temp drop again today - I've gone from 36.4 ish right down to 36.01 ... two days in a row... 🤷🏻‍♀️

@DinkyGT hmmm I would have thought you would be flashing yes if your due to OV When is it AF would be due? It could be that you have missed the peak and therefore it's showing blank because you would be back to low again. Do you have a cheapie you could try? The other thing I've read is some people get a sudden peak so it's possible that might be the case for you!

I got peak yesterday and believe I've ovulated today as since DD I always get slightly crampy now so hopefully we have caught it! Count down now 🙄 - how exciting another waiting game!! X

Thanks @mrssunshinexxx I've just checked and I have about 6 OPKs left from last month so I'll just work my way through those. Desperately hoping I won't need yours next month but I'll let you know! 😅

I need a bit of a whinge. My best friend has just got her BFP and I'm the only person she has told (beside her DH!). I'm so excited for her but the feelings of jealousy have really taken me by surprise. I'm not a jealous person at all! This is her first pregnancy and she's asking lots of questions and looking for advice, which I'm so happy I can share and I feel honoured that she's come to me before anyone else. But ouch, it stings. Am I a horrible friend? I'm just remembering my first pregnancy and feeling really nostalgic today! I can't believe this is only our 4th cycle. I feel like I've been TTC forever!

Thanks so much for your advice. I've checked back and my last couple of cycles have actually varied in length a bit so I'm worried I am completely off in my charting. December was 25, January cycle was 24 days, February 28 days (I have mostly been a 28 day cycle girl since I started charting a few years ago so this is quite new).
Current chart attached. Temping within the same hour each day.
I will see how it goes and try to get a few more days of DTD and see what happens! Hopefully next month will be clearer!

@Mybobowler you are certainly not a horrible friend. It's so hard to go through this and see others 'get there' before you. It will pass I am sure but you are allowed to feel jealous and want it to be your turn - it's only natural to feel that way. You are still there for your friend and supporting her. Don't be too hard on yourself xx

You totally do not need to feel bad about being jealous. It's such a precious thing that we are all trying to do ( have a baby) so your bound to have feelings of jealousy when you hear about others ( particularly close friends/family) that are pregnant. Just think it could be that you get your BFP in a few weeks and you can go through this together!!! Please don't be too hard on yourself- I think anyone on a TTC journey will feel the same.

@DinkyGT sooo looking at your chart I am wondering if you ov yesterday/today but because it was the 1st day you did the CB test and it's always a blank face on the first day you have missed the peak showing on the CB stick. I know the instructions say when figuring out what CD to start testing use your shortest cycle over the last 6 months so if you don't get your BFP this month check for next month and hopefully you will find your peak! I think if I was you I would count 1DPO tomorrow if your temp rises. Does anyone else agree/disagree? I was rubbish at doing BBT so stopped doing it so might be reading the chart completely wrong 😂

Also- it means we are v similarly timings and will be due our BFP together!! 😉

1DPO for me today. I feel like I'm out already 🤣🙈 how ridiculous is that! We didn't DTD yesterday but did it Sun & Mon so hoping that's enough.

I'm currently 7dpo, haven't thought about it much until this evening, anyone had any signs? I've had a headache/muzzy head all day.
Anyone had a positive yet? I have my fingers crossed 🤞
AF due next Friday (my 34th birthday) if I have a 28 day cycle, it can range between 26 and 30 since I've tracked it for almost a Yr.
I'm really hoping this month we get a positive and find out on my birthday would be extra special after trying for nearly 12months now, (1st month with OPK'S)

I'm still waiting for my positive opk, CD16 last month, so guessing it will be similar this month, so hopefully nearly there (CD15 currently).

I got my positive OPK this morning - a few days earlier than expected (CD13) which I'm hoping is a sign that the agnus castus is doing something! We're trying the SMEP method this month - fingers crossed!

I got my OPK static smiley today after just one day of flashing smiley ... is this usual?! Feel like I need to jump DP every day at the moment - I'm only on CD12!

DP is poorly at the moment and I feel so bad asking him to dtd so much ... he's only refused on one occasion though 😂

Hoping for BFPs all round xxx

I had the same I use cb Opks 4 days one snd only got 1 day flashing and then a static so we dtd every other day

I’ve not been in this thread for a while after commenting a bit in the beginning. Hope you’re all doing well, and hopefully BFPs will make an appearance soon for us all! We’re still trying, but trying not to stress. Just been exercising and eating healthily.

Where abouts are you from, how old are you and what number baby are you ttc?

I'm from Cambridgeshire UK, I'm 34 next Friday and ttc baby #2

I've always been active, an ex professional dancer, owned my own school for 8 yrs and now have an upcycling business which I love, back to home workouts, managed to book a few things for when normal resumes (which maybe not a good idea incase we fall pregnant) but trying to keep things normal and positive and if I didn't go on these things because what if we do get pregnant then ide miss out if it doesn't happen, it will be my luck we do fall and I'll have to cancel but I don't mind that lol 😉

@Mybobowler ah is SMEP the every other day and then 3 days at peak?

@DinkyGT I think it can happen & just means you have a fast surge. Although it can also depend on when you started to test.

I'm from Teesside ( in the North East) & I am 31. I have a 10.5 month old. This is our first month trying for no. 2

I am fairly/was fairly active before no.1 🤣 really into my running(long distance) & Pilates but I had PGP in first pregnancy so only just started again in December and running shorter distances. I work in education & due to go back in May but will be going back part time. We also have booked a few holidays but depends on the current situation to whether we go!
