Anyone TTC #2?

Lots of threads about TTC baby #1 so looking for someone baby #2 support!

If so how old is your current DC and what made you realise it was the right time?

DD has just turned 1 and we are thinking about #2 very soon! DD took 14 months to conceive so I’m prepared for another long slog...although a bit panicky that it could happen sooner! Am also still shifting some baby weight that clung on nicely during both lockdowns

Anyone else?

I'm on day 5 of flashy smiles 🙄 I'm hoping I get my peak tomorrow or Sunday but not sure I will as no obvious signs yet of ovulation. So when I do eventually get my peak it means I'll ovulate within 48 hours? So if I get it tomorrow I'll need to DTD ideally tomorrow & Sunday is that right? Xxx

Hi @May2311 yes once you get the static get busy! We pretty much dtd every other day whilst flashing smiley too

@Cantthinkofaname99 I used Agnus castus before my first pregnancy and it did help regulate my cycle a bit (I varied from 30-48 days cycles). I only didn't take it this time as I'm bfing and I'm not sure if it's ok to take?

@May2311 hello and hi all! Sorry I went a bit quiet. I actually decided to skip a month of TTC. Last month was all a bit stressful and I forgot how intense it can be to try for a baby! So I’ve been keeping myself occupied doing other bits. I’m CD18 but had no O symptoms, doesn’t really matter as not trying but still wanted to track my cycle! But not using OPKs is hard. Maybe I’ll be later this month because of the chemical.

How is everyone getting on? X

@mamaatthegym glad your ok! And good idea keeping occupied with other things- I should really try and occupy myself better- lockdown doesn't help 🤣. I have heard that happens after a chemical ( ovulate later) so expect you are right! Xx

Happy Mother's Day ladies! Hope you've all been spoilt this morning (or at least had a few minutes peace!) No testing here - only on CD10, I've been explaining the SMEP method to my DP, think he was a bit eye-rolly 😅

Hi all I'm on CD18, we dtd every other day prior snd over the ovulation period, calmed down a little now as post ovulation.
I got a flashing smiley on CD13 and static on CD14, TMI I've noticed my discharge is a pale yellow and thick, normally by now I'm dry, is this something to worry about or a good sign?
I'm due my period on 26th (my birthday) so I really hope we have something to celebrate as it would be amazing to find out around my birthday 🤞🙂

@LoopeyK morning! I wouldn't think it was anything to worry about without any other concerns ( pain or difficulty going to bathroom). Aw that would be lovely if you found out on birthday! Fingers crossed for your. Xx

@Mybobowler 🤣🤣 this made me giggle- my hubby was the same when I explained it to him - and the grapefruit juice that I've started drinking even though it's disgusting 🙈 I feel it's getting better though!

Got my static today. We DTD yesterday and plan to today and tomorrow- do you think we should have a day off or do you think it's ok doing it 3 days in a row? X

Thanks, no other signs or concerns so maybe a good sign then.

I've heard doing it too much like everyday can reduce sperms count, we only dtd every other day over that timescale.
Not sure if that's helpful

@May2311 I drank grapefruit juice for DC1 and this pregnancy as well - DH thought I was mad as I absolutely hate it but always worth a try!
That's great you've got your static - depends how much you and DH have left in you! We did the day before static and the 2 days after, but only because DH was getting a bit tired out by this point so I thought it best to miss a day!

Another one of my post-natal group friends just had her second baby. I feel like I'm surrounded by pregnancy announcements and newborns! I'm also hitting little milestones in my calender which, a few months ago, I'd confidently assumed "I'll be pregnant by then". I should be ovulating on Saturday/Sunday and I am prepared to throw everything at it this month!!

thanks ladies!! Will perhaps take a break today and do tomorrow instead then! Tbh we will probably be knackered by tonight as DD woke up at 5!! Massive shock to the system as she sleeps till 7 usually 🤣

@May2311 yes think it was me! I read somewhere when I was trying for DC1 that is can increase cm? No idea how/if it works but worth a try!

Although the 2 cycles I drank it I fell pregnant but could be a coincidence

I've got my OPK today - will it be ok to use it this afternoon do you think? It says to use it in the morning but I'm too impatient 🤣

@DinkyGT is it CB one? If so I'm sure I read that as long as you do a "hold" of at least 4 hours beforehand. Xx

Yes CB one!
I was impatient and did it but it showed just the clear circle.

Bit confused about that as my chart tells me I 'should' be fertile at the moment! Oh well... I will try OPK again tomorrow morning xx

@DinkyGT no matter what the first day always shows a blank circle! I don't know the reasoning it just does 🤣 Try again in the morning and hopefully you will get a high or peak. X

I had quite a big temp drop this morning so thought I ought to be gearing up for ovulation pretty soon!
I'm feeling very impatient this month already... 🙈

@LoopeyK were at a similar stage. I’m now CD20 and 7DPO. Also noticed some unusually thick mucus at the weekend so you never know, though I think it’s still too early to tell anything. Keeping fingers crossed for both of us!
