Lots of threads about TTC baby #1 so looking for someone baby #2 support!

If so how old is your current DC and what made you realise it was the right time?

DD has just turned 1 and we are thinking about #2 very soon! DD took 14 months to conceive so I’m prepared for another long slog...although a bit panicky that it could happen sooner! Am also still shifting some baby weight that clung on nicely during both lockdowns

Anyone else?

9DPO is still very early to see anything on a test, hope you get a bfp soon.

@mamaatthegym good news that your hitting Ov - I'm sure it will have done as you had a proper bleed now haven't you? Fingers crossed for you this month!!

@noname55 do you know how long your luteral phase usually is? From the amount I've read this part doesn't change so if you ovulated late count the amount of days your LP usually is and that's when AF would be due! So basically i defo wouldn't say your out yet! Hope that makes sense!!

I just realised I'm due Saturday, not tomorrow. Thought it was Friday today!

@Cantthinkofaname99 relatable it's so difficult to think of anything else.

I think my period is on the way (really early, wtf?) - light brown spotting and more bad cramps today. I don't even have the heart to try to convinve myself it's implantation. Feeling glum.

@Mybobowler seems like we are in a similar situation, I've just had brown/dark red spotting and some cramping. Not due AF till Sunday at earliest but thought it would be a lot later due to when ovulated. I'm feeling pretty glum too and driving myself crazy googling. Trying to distract myself but it's not really working.

Aaw @Cantthinkofaname99 I'm sorry you're in the same boat. This is such a rollercoaster isn't it? It's exhausting! All I'm telling myself is that it isn't over until AF rears her ugly head, and trying not to Google everything.

I've got fingers and toes crossed for you, and at least we can keep each other company! How long have you been trying? I'm sorry if you already said!

What’s the latest on the AF situ @Cantthinkofaname99 @Mybobowler ?! I don’t really ever spot before AF just get it full blown, is spotting normal for you both? Hoping it’s implantation for both of you!! How good would that be

@noname55 hmm still very early, not out until AF shows!

@Mybobowler we've been TTC since September so this is cycle 7. First cycle using opks though. I keep doing something a bit different each time and then I get in my head that this will be the month and like you said it's just a rollercoaster.

@mamaatthegym nothing much since this morning. AF does sometimes start with spotting for me, I don't think it's usually this colour though. I had this first month TTC this time, I had spotting, then AF was 2 weeks late, pretty sure that was a chemical/mc. I've also had it before where thought implantation bleed and it's just the start of AF!!! From my dates I'm only 6/7 dpo so not sure if too early for implantation bleed anyway. I think I just need to distract myself for a bit and hopefully tomorrow will bring more answers!

@Cantthinkofaname99 @Mybobowler really hope it isn't AF & it is implantation! It would be lovely if you both got your BFP at same time! The one thing I remember with my first is the period like cramps- I kept thinking it was coming & then didnt! X

So, pre-DD, I used to spot a bit before AF. I went back to my charts from that pregnancy and I had logged spotting on CD22 (currently CD23). Since my periods came back after I stopped breastfeeding, I don't think I spotted at all before starting. AF usually arrives quite late in the evening and by morning, it's in full flow!

I did spot in January, around the same point in my cycle. That's the month that I think was a chemical, even though I never got a BFP.

... having written all that down, maybe I shouldn't give up hope just yet?! It's still just brown CM now, and obviously I'm going to the bathroom every 30 minutes to check...!

@Cantthinkofaname99 let's stay hopeful eh? Not out until we're out! This is my first month with OPKs as well.

@Mybobowler yeah let's try and be positive! We aren't out yet! I've been doing the same going back over the cycle from DS, definitely had some spotting that time round, but it's the timing that throwing me. I just want to watch tv and eat chocolate tonight, so much for me trying to be healthy!!

My temp has gone up slightly today but the spotting has turned pink and there's more of it. Losing hope! I hate this bit

Anyone know how the first response rapid result tests compare to frers? Was all they had in my local shop. I might have the faintest of lines but I think it's more likely the indent where the line should be.

@noname55 I don't have any personal experience with them but from what I've heard they aren't as sensitive( FRERS are the best I think....) can you share a pic or is it not showing enough? X

I'm ok, DS is at nursery today so it's my manic child free, work free day of cleaning and housework! Think I'm going to go and do some gardening for a bit too as that's my thing to relax. I'm in an extra bad mood as DS had me up at 4am (well in his bed anyway!)!!
I'm sure I'll soon move onto wishful thinking that the next cycle will be the one!

@May2311 the camera doesn't pick it up so I'm taking it as negative, I think it's the indent. Some of our friends announced a pregnancy this morning and I'm gutted. I know it's still early days for us (3rd cycle) but I'm so impatient. I just have this feeling it's not going to happen.

Tentative congratulations @noname55 I've had a few indents on frers, never used a rapid response test though.

@noname55 it always makes it harder when friends/family announce pregnancy when your hoping as well ❤️. Like you say your still early in the journey & your still not out yet. Is it tomorrow AF is due? Have you managed to order some FRERS? X

Due tomorrow but I'm certain I'm out, started spotting as I always do the day before we're taking a break from trying for the next month or two (OH is a Christmas baby and doesn't want that for one of his own) so that sucks but I'm going to focus on losing some lockdown weight. Good luck ladies x

Aaw I'm sorry @noname55 I guess this isn't the month for a few of us! We're also thinking of taking a break - partly to avoid a Christmas birthday but mostly because this whole process is already stressing me out and making me miserable. I feel like I need a month of not obsessing over minute temperature changes and CM!

I'm still spotting but it's definitely increasing. I'm consoling myself with a takeaway and an enormous glass of merlot, just as soon as I've got toddler to sleep. Good luck to anyone still waiting to test this month! 🤞
