Lots of threads about TTC baby #1 so looking for someone baby #2 support!

If so how old is your current DC and what made you realise it was the right time?

DD has just turned 1 and we are thinking about #2 very soon! DD took 14 months to conceive so I’m prepared for another long slog...although a bit panicky that it could happen sooner! Am also still shifting some baby weight that clung on nicely during both lockdowns

@mrssunshinexxx thanks!! Just one more question so if your get 3 flashing days like you say and then static do you DTD on the flashing days as well or wait for the static? I'm going to purchase now! I want to make it as easy as possible and the cheap OPKs can be hard work! X

So earlier just after my little meltdown I called my local EPU and left a message (didn’t actually think they’d get back) but they did. Just spoke to an EPU nurse and she said it’s not looking good. She did ask if I had taken a digi and when I said yes 1-2 weeks she was like oh. So she said it doesn’t sound viable but they won’t see anything on a scan anyway because the tests are so faint then the levels must be very low, too low for anything to show on a scan anyway. She also said not to worry about ectopic unless I have pain or bleeding and typically levels get higher for ectopic. She said I’d just have a period-like bleed and just wait for it. She told me to stop testing but to do one more in 2 weeks (if I haven’t had AF by then) and if it’s still showing positive then I’ll have to come in.

So reality has kind of hit and now I’m just waiting to bleed. Fun fun! I would be approaching my fertile week around now so I feel left behind! Hope this doesn’t go on for much longer. I’m really scared of medical management

@mamaatthegym I am so so sorry😔 at least you don't need to be worried about ectopic! Try not to think about nearing your normal fertile window just focus on each day at a time. At the most in a couple of weeks you will at least have certainty one way or another.

Did you do another digi today to see if it had changed from last week?

Oh @mamaatthegym I’m so sorry that all this is happening for you. I was so hoping you’d have a happy ending to this rollercoaster of testing. It was good that the EPU contacted you, they seem a lot more helpful than your GP. Keep sharing and contributing to the thread - you’re not bringing it down, we’re all here to support each other.

I’m now on cd35 and still no AF, but also only bfn tests. I’m considering contacting the GP, hubby thinks I’m getting too stressy and just need to wait it out!

Never used OPKs but all these messages about them are being saved for future reference just in case!

@mamaatthegym so sorry that's happening to you, the waiting must be horrible. Please feel free to talk to us that's what this is all about. Like others have said just try and take one day at a time.

I've been busy at work all day so not sure if I've missed anything.

I need to do another OPK but better get DS to bed first! I started taking the pregnacare conceive vitamins this month, so I wonder if they will mess with my cycle (I was taking normal pregnancy ones before, but thought the others were worth a shot). Last time I conceived I was taking the Severn seas ones but I remember having to switch when pregnant as the folic acid in them wasn't high enough. It's so hard to know what to do, sometimes I really wish my body could tell me exactly what was going on!!

Yeah I prefer the clear blue to the cheapies they are just pretty definitive. I personally dtd every other day 'usually' unless I'm feeling extra up for it but ttc sadly can be abit chore like for me, don't think I'm the only one !
But yeah I would go for every other day then from when you get your peak you will ovulated any time upto 48 hours so I would do it both days then if you can x

So sorry@mamaatthegym that's sad news I hope it all happens soon for you so you aren't in turmoil. You aren't getting left behind I'm sure I'll still be here next month and probably many others. X

Sorry to hear this @mamaatthegym I'm glad you've had some reassurance from EPU about ectopics. Take some time for yourself and relax.

How's everyone getting on today? I'm CD14 and had another flashing smiley this morning and some ewcm. Do I need to do another opk later today or will it probably be another few days if I'm only just getting ewcm?

How often do you all dtd once you're coming up to ovulation? Every day, every other day? I would happily do every day but don't want to tire DH out too early!

I read your responses late last night and felt quite emosh! It’s so nice when a group of strangers can just come together and support each other through the crap and the good.

One final update from me: I started bleeding this morning, just looks/feels like AF so far, no cramps or clots. The sun is shining and it just feels like a weight lifted. I can say goodbye to my little bean that didn’t quite make it start looking forward.

New cycle here we go!

Hey @TheWhalesOnTheBus I'm on CD14 today too - Natural Cycles app tells me today is ovulation day, but still no positive OPK! Been getting EWCM for the last 2 or 3 days though. Confusing! We've been dtd every day or every other day, but I have no idea really. It's so hard not to overthink all this!

My DD was conceived after one night. I really wish I had appreciated how miraculous that was before starting to TTC 😅

My OPK peaked yesterday. I suppose I can assume O will be today or even tomorrow? I don't temp or anything so can't be sure.

@Mybobowler since taking my evening primrose oil I’m getting fertile CM for about 3 days before my OPK goes positive. You’re probably just on the cusp now, keep going!

@noname55 my FF app generally goes with the day after the peak for O day and it’s been fairly on point so yes I would say today is the day but cover tomorrow as well!

@Mybobowler it's literally our first month trying, I'm definitely overthinking it - just don't want a big gap between DC!

@noname55 yes I'd assume you'll ovulate today if your peak was yesterday! It's nice a few of us will be in the tww a similar time. We can help each other resist to test too soon!

Are there any OPK aficianados on this thread? Is this a positive? The instructions just say "darker or a similar colour" to the control line - is this similar enough?!

I would say that's so close but not quite positive yet.

Finally got AF at CD35 so 7 days late!! I’m not sure whether I’m relieved or sad 😞
