Anyone TTC #2?

Lots of threads about TTC baby #1 so looking for someone baby #2 support!

If so how old is your current DC and what made you realise it was the right time?

DD has just turned 1 and we are thinking about #2 very soon! DD took 14 months to conceive so I’m prepared for another long slog...although a bit panicky that it could happen sooner! Am also still shifting some baby weight that clung on nicely during both lockdowns Wink

Anyone else?

@mrssunshinexxx I used a boots cheapie pink dye one
@noname55 did your cramping feel different to or the same as period pain?

noname55 · 18/02/2021 15:16

It was the same, I remember wearing a pad thinking my period would arrive and it never did. Fingers crossed for you.

Nobeautysleep · 18/02/2021 15:20

@noname55 that’s really interesting as I’d mentally signed out this month 🙃
Last time I got pregnant I didn’t have a period after coming off the pill and only took a test as I’d been feeling sick for 3 days with no actual sickness so I had been 6 weeks pregnant by the time I tested. I might wait a few days and test

dunkedbiscuit · 18/02/2021 17:41

@mrssunshinexxx so very sorry about your mum 😢 I lost my mum several years ago and it’s a pain that never goes, but it does change. It most of been immensely difficult to have that to cope with just before having a baby ♥️

@noname55 it sounds like you’re definitely still in this month!!

Nobeautysleep · 18/02/2021 17:53

@noname55 how long before you got a positive test?
I’ve just tested (held it for 4 hours lol) and it was negative

MrsRosaline · 18/02/2021 18:58

Is anyone taking vitamins for conception? I'm looking at pregnacare and seven seas. Pregnacare seems to have so much more stuff in, and I'm sure made me sick before. But I can't understand the massive price difference. Surely one isn't better than the other?

May2311 · 18/02/2021 19:13

@MrsRosaline I am taking the pregnacare ones ( hubby is taken the men's version also). We took them last time - we fell fairly quickly but whether that was because of them I don't know. One thing I have heard is that for some people it extends their cycle( never have for me). X

Nobeautysleep · 18/02/2021 19:23

@MrsRosaline I’ve been taking seven seas just because they were on offer, I’m not sure there’s much difference in them

mrssunshinexxx · 18/02/2021 19:53

@dunkedbiscuit so sorry you know this pain too it's just awful isn't, it's changed me forever.

@MrsRosaline I might be wrong but I'm sure I've read negative things about one of the vitamins that it's messed with women's cycles e.g made them longer/ irregular

dunkedbiscuit · 18/02/2021 19:55

I struggled with the iron in the seven seas one, it makes me feel so sick! So I’ve just been taking folic acid and vitamin D from boots, but might look into the pregnacare

MrsRosaline · 18/02/2021 20:01

I've now googled both and found information that suggests both mess up the cycle!

mrssunshinexxx · 18/02/2021 20:13

@MrsRosaline I just take folic and vit d x

noname55 · 18/02/2021 22:08

I take folic acid, vitamin d, b complex and b12 due to deficiency.

Rayray20 · 19/02/2021 07:42

Hey ladies

I was reading all of your comments late last night and took the plunge to sign up this morning I hope you don’t mind me jumping in.

I am 12dpo first month trying for no2 (dd is 6months)

Took an ic this morn with fmu and it was a bfn

Still bf dd1 my periods came back within 2 months of having her even though we ebf and my cycle seems to be 25 days long

Not even sure if I can conceive whilst bf but going to give it a go

Thinking of trying clear blue opks next cycle would people recommend these?

Think I’m out this month anyway as had a bfp with dd at 11dpo last time

Hope everyone is ok and baby dust to all xxx

Nobeautysleep · 19/02/2021 07:45

@mamaatthegym how did you get on with the digital test?

mamaatthegym · 19/02/2021 07:55

Another disappointment for me this morning Sad

Line on my IC is fainter than 2 days ago and digi only saying 1-2 despite now being 18dpo.

Think this pregnancy is only heading one way. The worst part is I’ve woken up feeling really nauseous today but must be phantom symptoms or unrelated. Don’t even have a hint of spotting or bleeding yet, it sounds bad but I kind of just wish it would just start and be over with because this is dragging now.

I’m really quite upset now.

Anyone TTC #2?

Hi @Rayray20 similar situation here I have a 7 month old And second month of trying for a second I am BF and my periods have not returned but I tracked this month and caught ovulation on 15th will test next Sunday I think. Do you track using opks ? If you have periods I'm sure you will be ovulating ?

@mamaatthegym sorry to hear that , could you phone the doctor could they confirm with a blood test something more than you already know ? Understand what you mean if it isn't going to progress that you just want to move on but it's still very sad and disappointing, hugs x

dunkedbiscuit · 19/02/2021 08:15

Oh @mamaatthegym I’m sorry that it’s looking this way 😢 any chance you ovulated later and the digi is right? This limbo sounds horrible, sending you love xx

May2311 · 19/02/2021 08:22

@mamaatthegym I think you may have just OV a little later. Try not to think the worse even though I know it's hard. When were you due AF and did you get a positive Ov? Xx

mamaatthegym · 19/02/2021 08:44

Thank you ladies, I’m so glad to be able to come here and speak to people who just get it!

So, LMP was 14th Jan but I didn’t get a +OPK until CD18, then then another +OPK on CD19 so fertility friend put OV at CD19. Based on that AF was due on Tuesday (15dpo). Yes always a chance I didn’t ovulate until maybe a day later at the most but my fertile CM (very watery!) completely disappeared after CD19 so I don’t think I was fertile after then.

I didn’t get my first BFP until 14dpo so there’s every chance I’ve implanted late. I don’t know whether to cling on to that for hope or just to move on Confused hard to move on unless AF comes.

I’m having some cramps now so might be related.

I thought about having bloods done at the Dr but honestly I don’t think they’ll see me if I’m not bleeding. I remember fighting for bloods the last 3 times I was pregnant (2 MCs) and Dr didn’t want to know!

mamaatthegym · 19/02/2021 08:54

Regardless of late implantation though, my tests are getting lighter which is never good Sad

Nobeautysleep · 19/02/2021 08:57

@mamaatthegym sorry to hear this, sending hugs. I think if I were you I’d still contact the doctors to try to get some blood work done

Rayray20 · 19/02/2021 09:48

Don’t lose hope just yet @mamaatthegym have everything crossed for you ❤️

@mrssunshinexxx I was thinking to try the clear blue Kit is it worth the money?

Xx

May2311 · 19/02/2021 09:50

@mamaatthegym I know it's easier said than done but try and not to worry. Give it a few days and then see where your at. I remember with my first I kept testing with digis and went 1-2wks, 2-3wks and then back to 1-2wks- I was a mess thinking I was having a miscarriage but that wasn't the case. ThE TTC journey is so hard as we just overthink every little thing because what we want as the end result is so precious ❤️

mrssunshinexxx · 19/02/2021 10:00

I think so @Rayray20 but if it ends up taking me months I'll stop as they are expensive
