Anyone TTC #2?

mamaatthegym · 26/11/2020 22:29

Lots of threads about TTC baby #1 so looking for someone baby #2 support!

If so how old is your current DC and what made you realise it was the right time?

DD has just turned 1 and we are thinking about #2 very soon! DD took 14 months to conceive so I’m prepared for another long slog...although a bit panicky that it could happen sooner! Am also still shifting some baby weight that clung on nicely during both lockdowns Wink

Anyone else?

@mrssunshinexxx I’ve still got a WEEK before I can test, it feels like a lifetime away. I’m trying to wait until the day AF is due to see if that comes first. But it feels like such a long time to wait doesn’t it!!

@mamaatthegym those lines look really good, I’m so chuffed for you!

How is everyone doing? It’s only our first month trying but I’m struggling to remain chilled this time. I think lockdown is making it worse as there’s nothing else to focus on really?

mrssunshinexxx · 18/02/2021 09:14

Wel it's sooner than me so I'll live through you for the next week ha what dpo will you be then ? @dunkedbiscuit definitely , lockdown life is thoroughly full!

mrssunshinexxx · 18/02/2021 09:14

Dull* @dunkedbiscuit

Tibtab · 18/02/2021 09:16

I’m 7dpo and hate the waiting :(
Last month was our first month trying again and I was obsessed with testing, it didn’t help that my period was 12 days late so I had really convinced myself I was pregnant.

mamaatthegym · 18/02/2021 09:39

I got an email from Royal Mail saying my digis will be here around 3pm...going to have to hold off using one until tomorrow!

@dunkedbiscuit I feel that! My husband won't talk to me anymore. He says I find one thing after another to stress about. TTC, COVID and being vaccinated, fertility, ovulation, oh and we are also in the middle of moving house! 😬

@mamaatthegym good luck with the digital tests!

mrssunshinexxx · 18/02/2021 10:19

Just hold wee for 4 hours @mamaatthegym

noname55 · 18/02/2021 10:34

Good luck @mamaatthegym

CD12 still waiting for OPK to peak. I'm feeling the pressure this month as I know my partner wants to take a break next cycle to avoid a Christmas baby.

dunkedbiscuit · 18/02/2021 10:51

@MrsRosaline oh wow that is a lot going on! You can talk to us instead 😊 have you got a moving date? Hope it all goes smoothly!

May2311 · 18/02/2021 11:04

@mamaatthegym - just keep that wee held!! Let's us know once you have done it. When was AF due again? Xx

May2311 · 18/02/2021 11:07

@mrssunshinexxx we can all try and keep your mind off it! Are you back at work yet from mat leave? ( that's if your not a SAHP)

@MrsRosaline we are also in the process of moving! I'm completely sick of it though- our first sale fell through before Christmas just as we were about to exchange so lost our dream house😔. We have found another one and hoping this one goes through quickly so we don't lose it. Just waiting for our buyers mortgage to be confirmed and then we should be all systems go! X

MrsRosaline · 18/02/2021 11:12

@May2311 it's sooo stressful isn't it. We are moving out of here in the first week of March. The sale of the new house is slower and we are looking at first week of May to move in. I'm not sure where we will go in the interim!

MrsRosaline · 18/02/2021 11:13

Oddly enough, I was TTC last time we moved house and only fell pregnant once we'd moved in to the new house!

mrssunshinexxx · 18/02/2021 11:32

@noname55 I thought that I would take a break if I don't get pregnant this month but the closer it's getting I don't want to but I also don't want a Christmas Day baby!

mrssunshinexxx · 18/02/2021 11:33

@May2311 that's so annoying do you love this house as much?
I'm not going back to work my mum died last April so my life has drastically changed and I wouldn't trust anyone else with my baby x

noname55 · 18/02/2021 11:41

I'm the same! Don't want to take a break but I'd also hate to miss Christmas with my son. I went 2 weeks overdue last time so it's definitely a possibility. I think my partner is more worried about the expense in future if we had a birthday so close to Christmas. Here's hoping this is our month and we don't have to worry about it!

mrssunshinexxx · 18/02/2021 12:09

Really hope so @noname55 also would hate to be away from home at Xmas. I don't know whether I will have a planned section or a VBAC I want a VBAC but will see what consultant says when the time comes (already talking as if I'm pregnant!)

May2311 · 18/02/2021 12:31

@mrssunshinexxx sorry to hear about your loss. It must have been a very difficult time for you. Completely understand where your coming from regarding trusting others- I'm due back in a couple of months and although I trust my mum 100% it's still a difficult thought having to leave her.

I love the house but we will be doing work to it to make it our "dream" house. Really we didn't want to have to do anything but we are so clear on what we want we have decided instead of compromising on certain bits we will have to do the work to make it our forever home.

Christmas baby would be difficult when we all have little ones already but I'm sure we will all manage the best way we can if that happens! I was early with my first- I do wonder if that means I'll be early next time as well( if I'm lucky to fall again!) xx

mrssunshinexxx · 18/02/2021 13:00

Thanks @May2311 it's really difficult she was my best friend in the world can't imagine ever being easier but we just get on with it. Hoping to have another lovely distraction soon. She missed meeting my baby by 6 weeks. It's a cruel world
Ah that sounds like a good idea to do abit of work yourself it will be worth it in the long run we are having an extension built in may I'm dreading the mess but it's just what we have to do to get the house we want

TheWhalesOnTheBus · 18/02/2021 13:13

Hold your wee @mamaatthegym and do a test later! I'm excited for you!

@mrssunshinexxx I'm only cd9 so long way to go yet. Did my first opk today - so got the thrill of peeing on a stick 😂
Does anyone else find their libido is through the roof really early? Mine is ridiculous so by the time we get to fertile period we're shattered! Need to reign it in!

mrssunshinexxx · 18/02/2021 13:29

@TheWhalesOnTheBus by libido is none existent I blame breast feeding!

Nobeautysleep · 18/02/2021 13:51

Hi everyone,
Haven’t been on here for a few days so just catching up with messages!

@mamaatthegym let us know how you get on.
@mrssunshinexxx sorry about your mum, that must be so difficult.
@May2311 @MrsRosaline hope the house moves go well. Moving is so stressful! We are planning an extension and it looks like it’ll be next year that we do it, the idea of not having a kitchen for a few weeks is already filling me with dread!

I was due AF on Tuesday but so far it hasn’t appeared, I’ve been having awful period cramps though so it must be on its way! Not been tracking anything yet, but tempted to start the OPKs next month

noname55 · 18/02/2021 14:30

@Nobeautysleep have you tested yet? Cramps were definitely a sign for me in my first pregnancy.

Nobeautysleep · 18/02/2021 14:38

@noname55 I tested on Monday and it was negative.

mrssunshinexxx · 18/02/2021 14:43

Thank you @Nobeautysleep
What tests have you used
