Hello! We are trying for our second child and I am frustrated. I am sure several of you can relate to being frustrated with this whole TTC thing. 😅 Anyways. AF was due 3 days ago and has not shown her ugly face yet. But I have also gotten nothing but negatives (and one invalid). I was planning on not testing again until AF is a week late. Anyone get their BFP that late or even later? I am irregular, so it could just be a late period? I just want to know if I really am pregnant or not, so I can move on! Thanks for any insight you all provide! 😊

@sociallydistained haha they can't win can they 😂 I feel bad but I just don't feel like I am, and I know people say they "just knew". I'm getting more irritable, maybe AF is looming haha. Yeah I'm not speaking to my BF about it again either, I said this last week! Feeling sick could totally be a sign (not a fun one though!), hope so!! I know what you mean; we question the symptoms ourselves already!

Yeah I have felt like AF was coming and there was no chance since last Friday when I last took a test. You're right some develop the hormone later, I guess the doctor just didn't want to give me false hope. She did say if my period didn't come in another week to test again. A bath is a great idea, I will definitely have one tonight. The annoying thing is, I probably am stressed but I feel like I could be a lot worse and have been way worse in the TWW before.

HT1335 · 24/11/2020 10:37

@HJen22 oh the go sounds very supportive and at least they have done thorough bloods with you. We sound so similar as concentrate only on the ‘fertile’ weeks and then have a rest too as it can feel like a chore sometimes. It’s just so bizarre that getting a little stressed can delay AF for so long isn’t it! Because I have felt more stressed than this in previous months. I suppose we will have to try and be patient and see what happens and try to stay positive 😬

HJen22 · 24/11/2020 10:43

@HT1335 Same, I feel like it becomes a chore too and just adds such pressure, I knew it was advised every 2/3 days and we start with that intention but it becomes so tiring! And I thought with OPKs and stuff there wasn't a need. She didn't seem that keen on me doing OPKs and I was going to again next month and now I can't decide. She understood why I did them to begin with, so I knew I was ovulating and that some women like to do it, but she wasn't like oh yeah do them! She just emphasised every 2/3 days the entire month!

It's so strange isn't, we try hard to relax more and then our bodies go and do this! How are you feeling?

HT1335 · 24/11/2020 10:49

@HJen22 yea it’s very bizarre initially I was against the opk as I didn’t understand it or see the need, but when it didn’t happen I thought maybe I should be doing them. Maybe just to try every 2-3 days would work as I think it’s the only thing we haven’t tried! We both take the pre pregnancy vitamins and have cut out alcohol so I’m not sure what else we can try! I feel ok hope you do too? I’m trying again to think positive thoughts. But now I’m confused as to where I’m at with having no AF yet 🤯

HJen22 · 24/11/2020 10:55

@HT1335 I was the same, I had no idea they even existed until I started reading up. And the more I read what others were doing the more I thought, maybe I should do that! Yeah I think it's the best shot, I might ask my BF when AF finally does arrive if he wants to have a break for a month before we do that. I don't want to, but it's been a pretty stressful 8 months and taking its toll emotionally and not sure I want the disappointment right before Christmas.

That's great you've done all that! I used to take seven seas but after a few months I stopped and just take folic acid now and again. I hardly ever drink now as I just don't want to really. I'm glad you're ok, me too I just really want to know what's going on and If this month isn't the month, AF just to come! I can't face doing another test.

HT1335 · 24/11/2020 11:17

@HJen22 I feel exactly the same! A break over Christmas and have some enjoyment as opposed to feeling like we need to do things, hopefully that will lead to less stress and something happening 🤞🏻 And for now the AF needs to make an appearance, unless you can skip a month? Again I’m a novice I’ve been on the pill for years and never really had a natural AF until this year.

HJen22 · 24/11/2020 12:02

@HT1335 yeah it could be just what we need 🤞🏻 a little rest and restart a fresh in the new year. It takes it out of you doesn't it! It's so nice to talk to someone who feels the same, although I'm sad you're feeling how I'm feeling; it sucks!

I know that's what I'm worried about, what if it just doesn't come?! I think it's classed as skipped if you go 6 weeks since last period. But not sure! I'm the same; I was on the pill for years, I took a little break about 5 years ago but I don't remember my cycles being long or anything, but I went back on it not long after!

ImpatientMama · 24/11/2020 12:35

Woke up early this morning with bleeding. So there is no doubt in my mind anymore that I am having a chemical pregnancy. Keeping doctors appointment for Friday so I can confirm and get more information.

@ImpatientMama I'm so so sorry 😢 I'm devastated for you. Can't begin to imagine how you're feeling.

lastbany · 24/11/2020 13:00

@HJen22 @ImpatientMama just a ups date spoke to doc. Very nice! She explained that they would suggest cycles from 22/40 days are normal (shocker!) and suggested I do ovulation sticks to see when happens as saod will always be 14 days before af however that will be different each month! Also said at a week late if pregnant you would 99.9% have a good positive! Which tbh I already sort of knew! She offered blood tests and possibly Sperm analysis and was amazing with offers however saod if I was having fertility problems I would have to pay with having kids although she did say it's very highly unlikely I do and she thinks I. Wed to stop stressing! As she thinks that's what's effecting everything! (Secretly agree) so I said I leave testing for now she said if I change mind to ring they will sort no need for app! So feel positive! Sticks ordered!! Ready for next time! @ImpatientMama sorry to hear this x

lastbany · 24/11/2020 13:00

Also no idea why that's all in bold 🤣🤣🤣

Bgrace8 · 24/11/2020 13:01

@HT1335 @HJen22 you two are exactly the same as me! So bizzare I’ve still no sign of AF which is so unusual for me as I had a positive OPK 2nd nov and have always had regular cycles even if I have been on the pill, never had any problems before.

@ImpatientMama my heart hurts for you ❤️ Sending you lots of love xx

HJen22 · 24/11/2020 13:08

@lastbany I'm so glad you had a positive doctors appointment like I did, it really helps doesn't it. I was told similar and I knew it before she said it too, but also nice to have the doctors point of view. I agree stress is probably my problem too even if I think I have been stressed less, appears not! I'm so glad to hear as well that it shouldn't cost you anything due to already having children! And great to know that If this happens again and you have concerns you can have bloods and semen analysis. Onwards and upwards 😊

@Bgrace8 it's so strange isn't it, and annoying how our bodies are misbehaving this month! Hopefully this is just a wacky cycle for us and back to normal soon!

ImpatientMama · 24/11/2020 13:49

Thanks ladies. I have so many questions so I am looking forward to the doctors appointment so I can get them answered. Glad you all had some positive doctors visits! Hoping all of our bodies get back to normal and we can continue our journeys to getting pregnant!

@lastbany that’s positive for you! I used the clear blue ovulation last time and thought they were good! Has your AF come yet? What’s your current situ?

@HJen22 I think it seems so off for us as we have such regular shorter cycles my shortest was 25 days but 28 days normally I think. Did you start trying in sept? How long have you been off contraceptive? X

HJen22 · 24/11/2020 14:02

@Bgrace8 I've been off the mini pill since the end of March. I didn't get a period whilst on the pill and took it every day. My first two cycles were 29 days and then the rest between 24-26 so yeah I've had nothing anywhere near as long as this! I've done OPKs/BBT 3 of the months and had ovulation confirmed and a few I've done nothing. This month none so no idea when / if I ovulated! Typical!

lastbany · 24/11/2020 14:07

Hi yes af cane sun 8 days late :) ordered cheapos off eBay x

HT1335 · 24/11/2020 14:33

@Bgrace8 I am similar to yourself but I’ve not had a positive ovulation test yet, not that I’ve properly tried to do them. I’m waiting until Friday to see what happens and then I’m ringing the gp again.
Very strange how we are all in the same situation isn’t it, but it’s good to know and this is supportive as it’s not a conversation you can have in the office or in general really is it

sociallydistained · 24/11/2020 14:36

@ImpatientMama I am so so sorry and really hoping that is not the case but don't want to give you false hope either Thanks

ImpatientMama · 24/11/2020 14:52

Thanks @sociallydistained. I am 99% sure that is what is happening unfortunately. I am sure the doctor will confirm on Friday.
I am so thankful that I decided to come on this site and make this post. You ladies have been so supportive and I am glad I had you all to talk to about it. My husband knows basically what is going on, but there is some stuff I know he would rather not know when it comes to ttc. Like I dont tell him about my cm or the real amount of tests I have taken. Haha. But I feel so comfortable coming on here and talking with those who can relate! I am definitely going to keep returning to this post for updates and pray that we all get our bfps soon!

HT1335 · 24/11/2020 15:11

@ImpatientMama I am the same I don’t like to go into great detail about the sore boobs and other things we as women have to experience! I hope you’re ok and that your doctor is supportive on Friday

HJen22 · 24/11/2020 15:18

@ImpatientMama thank you for starting the post ❤️ speaking with you all has really helped the last week, I would be going even more crazy than I am if I hadn't had you all for support. My sister and one friend know we are trying but I didn't even want to talk to them about this months drama. TTC can be a lonely place, it will all be worth it in the end when we get our BFPs!

Not stressing is so much easier said than done isn't it! I've tried reflexology two months, a massage another when I got AF and was in a stinker of a mood haha. Some months don't track to "relax" and that hasn't helped either!

ImpatientMama · 24/11/2020 15:25

@HT1335 I'm doing OK. Have cried a little, but it's hard to stay sad with my sweet 16 month old being his crazy self. Haha. I read to use pads, not tampons, for the bleeding. And I hate pads. Luckily I had a couple left over from when I gave birth to my son. So besides cramping and back pain, I just feel gross wearing a pad. Maybe the doctor will give me the OK to wear tampons. Hopefully. Haha. So I need to run to the store and get some pads and I will probably get some chocolate too. Just to help me feel better. Haha.

Totally agree it has been lovely talking to you ladies and having a little community!

I don’t have symptoms of much apart from really foggy headache and neck achey. No cramps no sore boobs but I’m not a very PMS person anyway I usually just come in mid day and don’t have any symptoms until then! All v odd.

@HT1335 I’m going to test Friday Saturday too I think, at this point I don’t even care if I’m not PG as will try again just want some clarity as I’m sure you do too.

@HJen22 we are very similar however I came off in aug and have been regular since but similar cycle lengths etc

Are any of you going to test again?

ImpatientMama · 24/11/2020 15:51

@Bgrace8 i was going to test tomorrow, but now that I am bleeding, I dont think it's worth the test. I am sure they will test me on Friday at the doctors. Will most likely say negative.
