Hello! We are trying for our second child and I am frustrated. I am sure several of you can relate to being frustrated with this whole TTC thing. 😅 Anyways. AF was due 3 days ago and has not shown her ugly face yet. But I have also gotten nothing but negatives (and one invalid). I was planning on not testing again until AF is a week late. Anyone get their BFP that late or even later? I am irregular, so it could just be a late period? I just want to know if I really am pregnant or not, so I can move on! Thanks for any insight you all provide! 😊

@Marvellouslymadmum yes I feel a bit more relaxed now, the nurse said that it can take time etc so I’ll wait and see what results come back..
I hope everyone else is doing ok and trying to stay positive x

Marvellouslymadmum · 19/01/2021 18:38

@HT1335 that's really good, when I spoke to the doctor yesterday she just assumed pregnancy would be the main likely reason for af being Mia which kind of gives me a snippet of hope still but the one positive to come out of this is that my dp got very very excited when he thought I could be even though he's been up and down with it in the past so that's good

ImpatientMama · 19/01/2021 19:13

@HT1335 glad they did all that. Hopefully it will provide some answers!
Boy it would be wonderful if you are pregnant @Marvellouslymadmum! But I guess it would be best to go into it thinking you aren't just in case. Hoping you get some answers!

@HT1335 it sounds like you had a positive experience with the nurse today and I'm really glad to hear that the doctor is taking steps and has arranged all the tests. Do you feel a little better for going?

@KES22 I know, it gets to the point when you just want AF to come and get onto the next cycle. I've managed to hold it together a little bit better this month on the arrival of AF, just need to keep trying x

HT1335 · 19/01/2021 20:03

Yes it was a good appointment feel like I am getting somewhere! I don’t another test yesterday got a bfn I done one as I had my Covid vaccine so wanted to double check I wasn’t pregnant for that
We all need to keep trying and try to remain positive and stress free... even though it’s easier said than done! 🤞🏻X

Marvellouslymadmum · 19/01/2021 22:40

@ImpatientMama I don't think I am to be honest but you know what it's like, there's always a little hope and if not back to trying again with a more enthusiastic partner haha

ImpatientMama · 20/01/2021 00:08

@Marvellouslymadmum I completely understand. Haha. I am glad your partner is so enthusiastic!

@ImpatientMama me too! Now I know how excited he was at the prospect of me actually being pregnant I'll definitely become more active with tracking etc!

ImpatientMama · 23/01/2021 11:57

Tested this morning (12 dpo). I think there is something there but it is soooo light... I have a ton of these easy@home tests to keep testing with, but I really need to know if I am pregnant or not today. My husband and I have a date tonight and I would like to know if I am able to drink some wine. Haha. I do have 2 digital tests that I was holding on to so I could see the word 'pregnant. But I am considering using one this morning (I still have my urine in a cup). I am just so over spending money on tests!!

No AF and BFNs 🤷‍♀️

Marvellouslymadmum · 23/01/2021 12:53

@ImpatientMama I see a feint line! I say go for the digital and see what it says!

ImpatientMama · 23/01/2021 12:57

@Marvellouslymadmum I did and it looks like it is confirmed?! But I have also read some reviews that this brand has been known to have false positives? Ugh. So I am not sure if I trust it 100%. I think I may go buy a FRER and see what it says?

No AF and BFNs 🤷‍♀️

Marvellouslymadmum · 23/01/2021 12:59

@ImpatientMama wow! I'd be inclined to trust it as that's two, but if you want to triple check frer could do that for you. Looks like congratulations are in order to me! 😊

ImpatientMama · 23/01/2021 15:15

Thanks @Marvellouslymadmum. I want to know for sure, so I think I will splurge and get a FRER. If that shows positive, then it must be true. Ha. I was loving the idea of having wine tonight, but if I need to skip it, I guess pregnancy is a good reason. Haha.

You have two positive tests @ImpatientMama so how will a third make a difference convincing you?

Marvellouslymadmum · 23/01/2021 17:35

@ImpatientMama definitely!! 🤞🏻 for you

Marvellouslymadmum · 23/01/2021 23:22

Well I've finally found out the reason for my veeeeery long cycle! I was pregnant, but now I'm not 😔 currently going through a m/c so that's twice we've managed to get that bfp and twice it's ended like this at the 7.5 week mark, feeling very low and disheartened. I know it means we can get pregnant but it's taken 3.5 years in total to get to this point and they're not sticking when I do 😢

ImpatientMama · 24/01/2021 01:23

@Garman the line tests were cheapies and apparently aren't as sensitive as frer. The lines were so faint it is hard to tell if it is a true positive or evap line. The frer would have been clearer. And the digital test brand i used has lots of reviews about false positives. So I don't really trust it 100%. Of course I saw the reviews after I bought them. 🙄

After thinking about it more, I decided not to splurge on frer. I will just keep testing using the strips I have (I have a lot of them) and hopefully the line will get darker and more clear over the next few days. I am over buying expensive tests. For my first pregnancy I only needed one test. This second pregnancy is proving to be a lot more difficult. Not sure what I am doing differently. 🤷‍♀️

Oh no @Marvellouslymadmum! I am so sorry about your losses. Does your doctor have any suggestions for you? I hope your next bfp is a sticky and healthy baby! 🤞

Marvellouslymadmum · 24/01/2021 01:53

@ImpatientMama thank you, I'll talk to my go Monday and see if she suggests anything I think

HT1335 · 24/01/2021 09:35

@Marvellouslymadmum oh I’m really sorry to hear this, I hope your gp can give you some support over this
@ImpatientMama ooh good luck let us know how you get on!

HJen22 · 24/01/2021 10:19

@Marvellouslymadmum I'm so sorry to hear this sad news, heartbreaking. Sending you lots of positive thoughts and I really hope the GP can help. Look after yourself and take some time to rest ❤️ x

@ImpatientMama I really hope that your line gets darker and this is the month for you 🤞🏻 no one prepares you for this do they, I just thought you could a BFP or BFN when I first started on this journey! Had no idea about faint lines and then the worry. Everything crossed for you x

ImpatientMama · 25/01/2021 14:16

I decided to be that person who tapes her tests into a notebook. Glad I did. I can really see the line progression and it looks like it is getting darker! Guess I will be calling the doctor today! Hoping this one sticks! Thanks ladies for all the support and I am still here for you! Sending good vibes your way way your bfps soon! 🙏

No AF and BFNs 🤷‍♀️

HT1335 · 25/01/2021 17:23

I’m now cd59 and still no AF! I rang the doctors before and they said the doctor was reviewing my bloods and I’ve to ring up tmorow... I should be on my January AF now so this is 2 periods I have skipped 🤯🤔

Aims1991 · 25/01/2021 18:24
