No AF and BFNs 🤷‍♀️

Hello! We are trying for our second child and I am frustrated. I am sure several of you can relate to being frustrated with this whole TTC thing. 😅 Anyways. AF was due 3 days ago and has not shown her ugly face yet. But I have also gotten nothing but negatives (and one invalid). I was planning on not testing again until AF is a week late. Anyone get their BFP that late or even later? I am irregular, so it could just be a late period? I just want to know if I really am pregnant or not, so I can move on! Thanks for any insight you all provide! 😊

@HT1335 It's always easier said than done to be positive. But your not alone, I never see anything as positive! I'm always so negative and then if something good happens I'm happy or surprised so hopefully that happens.
Don't get disheartened, it'll happen 🤞🏼

@Aims1991 I completely get that, we have tried to stay relaxed about it too, there have been times when I've got really stressed with it but I'm trying haha once it gets to being so long you kind of stop stressing so much I think!
I've ordered some frer from Amazon which won't arrive until tomorrow so will test Saturday morning and if it's a negative I'll call docs on Monday I think

So my AF day tonorow!! I do have the infamous spot on my chin I get before af but have to say that's only sign!! No cramps yet which is slightly odd!

Good luck I hope you all get the positive test! Or if AF shows on time at least you know either way!
I have tested this morn BFN had a major meltdown as now cd49 and I’ve rang the doctors again I’m at work and trying to hold it together but I’m very frustrated now and worried something is wrong 😑

@HT1335 I'm so sorry to hear that, i hope you are ok 🥰 I have been there many times with the meltdowns! I hope the doctor was helpful? When you first called this week did they just say call back it still no AF?

AF is due for me any day, I'm cranky as hell and been trying to lose the Xmas pounds, much to my disappointment only half a lb off today so added to my hacked off-ness!

@HJen22 unfortunately AF arrived and ruined this months hope🙄 move on to next cycle

@Aims1991 I'm sorry 😞 it's so rubbish every time! Everything crossed for next cycle! I have chopped and changed with folic acid, pregnacare, seven seas throughout my time TTC, have read things about changing cycle length too so never sure what's best to take x

@HJen22 well I've been told folic acid doesn't affect the cycle but I was 4 days late for the first time in 4/5 years and I didn't take folic acid and AF arrived so I'm skeptical thinking maybe it's caused a delay. I started taking it again and will do for the next cycle, hopefully there isn't another AF and it's a BFP but I don't feel that lucky 🙄🤞🏼

@Aims1991 yeah I've not heard anything specifically about folic acid on it's own, more mixed reviews on the seven seas and pregnacare, I think I'll start taking just folic acid again too next cycle. Everything crossed 🤞🏻 I'm awaiting AF and pretty sure it's coming! People say they "just know" and I def don't feel like that. I think after having a super long cycle 2 months ago it's made me even less hopeful, seeing BFNs is just heartbreaking isn't it x

@HJen22 yeah it's so upsetting every BFN you get. Yeah I know what you mean people say you just know, but before AF I hadn't been feeling great and had so many strange things I felt and my OH kept saying maybe your pregnant and even tho I had done a few tests he asked me to do another one and I said no because I just couldn't take looking at it again!
I never get any symptoms for AF and I had twinges, sharps pains, sore back and bleeding gums! I thought this could be it but nope!

@HT1335 sorry you got another bfn it's heartbreaking isn't it?! I've been doing some research though and found loads of older posts on here where people have got bfn from the start some even up to week 20 before they got their bfn! Some who had bfn blood tests and everything so do try not to worry about something being wrong and hope for the best 

@HJen22 I'm ok CD46 and 17 days late today, I've got some frer arriving today, have saved my fmu but not sure if that'll be ok to use or if it'll be better to wait and test tomorrow 

@Aims1991 sorry your af arrived but onwards and upwards! You get to start again now

@Marvellouslymadmum ye I wouldn't bother with fmu, 17 days late a frer would show with any time wee, if just di a fresh one when they arrive xx

I thought af arrived today (on time) but seems to have been a slight spot and stopped?!

@lastbany that's what I've always thought before but reading all the stories about so many women who've not had positive tests until between 6 & 20 weeks makes me want to make sure I'm trying my best lol

Ok and it’s maybe down to stress or something
I have also been chopping and changing my pre natal vitamins so I hope this hasn’t impacted on anything I may stop taking them for now.
Sometimes you don’t know what to do for the best it’s a real frustrating journey to be on x

@Aims1991 sorry af arrived, but now you know and can move forward into a new cycle and a new chance to concieve!
@lastbany I hope you are feeling better after getting COVID. The slight spotting could be implantation bleeding or oncoming period. It really is annoying that most signs can go either way!

@HJen22 I'm doing OK. 4dpo today. So just waiting. As usual. Haha. I am going to try to hold off testing until 12 dpo. I got a pack of both cheap opks and pregnancy tests so I won't feel like I am spending a fortune on testing. I feel you with losing weight. I definitely ate way too much over the holidays.

@Aims1991 yeah the BFN is just so hard to see; I've only done tests a few times whilst TTC, I can't stand the disappointment and always want the "next" one to be "the" one! But the end of one cycle is the start of a fresh new one.

@ImpatientMama I hope the TWW goes quickly for you!! My AF is due Monday which would be a 27 day cycle but I reckon could come any time over the weekend as my cycle length varies!

@HJen22 thanks! And I am also with you on the weight loss thing my gp even advised me to be healthy and less sugar to help with ttc but over Xmas and with stress it’s been hard
But we shall all try again now it’s January! Hope we all succeed with the weight loss goal too x

Well I haven't tested yet even though the tests have arrived as I know if I get a bfn I'll convince myself it's because I didn't use emu and do the other one tomorrow 🤦🏼‍♀️ I drink a lot of water and tea so I know that can effect it if you drink a lot. Just trying to distract myself until morning now 😂😂

Sorry to jump in but I am on CD41 and no sign of AF...I’ve done probable 5 tests over the last week and all BFN. I’ve got mild cramps, very tired, heartburn and mood swings...coming to the conclusion it just a missed period but I’m normally 30/31 days and have never missed a period before. Can’t bear to see any more BFN results. Has a call with the doctor earlier in the week and just basically said it’s a waiting game, nothing else can be done 😞 x

Hi @KES22 I'm in the same position, currently cd46 always have cycles between 28-31 days. Had two bfn about 10&12 days ago but haven't tested since, I've got some frer tests and going to try and hold out and try one in the morning, if that still comes up as bfn I shall cry and call the docs next week I guess! I've never missed a period either apart from when I was pregnant 🤷🏼‍♀️

I had a MC back in Aug so I was so excited when I was late this month but now I’m just an anxious mess wondering if there’s something wrong!

@KES22 thank you, sorry to hear about you mc I had one myself a couple of years ago, I'm just hoping that wasn't a fluke and we can actually get pg!

@HT1335 while I wa s pregnant with my daughter (baby 1 year) I had lost a stone on slimming world prior then actually lost 2 stone the first 28 weeks!!! Poorly from sickness etc but belly was growing but everything else shrunk lol I stuck to SlimmingWorld all way threw and actually only put on from 28 weeks and out on 10lb dropping 2 days later straight to start weight! I'm still tht weight lol year on would have loved to loose another stone take me to ten! But hey lol so update on me ! AF due yesterday sorry for tmi but me and partner were dtd in the morning and he said after think you have started period so I went to toilet and was a small brown smear put pad on thinking a start of something but nope nothing came! Nothing over night! Not sure what is happening could it be due to the covid???
