No AF and BFNs 🤷‍♀️

Hello! We are trying for our second child and I am frustrated. I am sure several of you can relate to being frustrated with this whole TTC thing. 😅 Anyways. AF was due 3 days ago and has not shown her ugly face yet. But I have also gotten nothing but negatives (and one invalid). I was planning on not testing again until AF is a week late. Anyone get their BFP that late or even later? I am irregular, so it could just be a late period? I just want to know if I really am pregnant or not, so I can move on! Thanks for any insight you all provide! 😊

Hi all, I’ve read through the whole thread today, highs and lows and I’m in the same boat some of you have been in! I’m usually pretty predictable 28/29 day cycle shortest being 26 longest 31 currently on cd36 feeling bloated, sicky and dizzy with a little back pain but no sign of af and no symptoms of her showing her face! I caved amd tested yesterday with a co-op test and got a bfn and am getting a bit worried something could be up, last month af was lighter than usual but longer and now this month nothing at all! I’m 41 (42 in March) so a little older, been ttc for two years casually both have children from previous relationships but none together though we had one mc 3.5 years ago. I’m glad I found this thread!

@ImpatientMama my Flo app says 7 days late. Spotting has stopped now. I’m wracked with nerves. Think I’ll buy a test tomorrow and test FMU on wed. Thank you :)

@Marvellouslymadmum welcome to the group! Hopefully you get the result you want it’s very stressful when AF is late and out of sync I am in the same boat I’m cycle day 40 now and still no sign
@ImpatientMama I totally agree I have spent an absolute fortune on tests and products to try and help! It’s very frustrating 😭

So frustrating! And so hard not to symptom spot!! I totally got my hopes up and tested on Sunday but had a bfn which I was really sad over then decided what if there’s something wrong with me or I’m going through the change!! Now today I’ve woken and have that heavy tummy feeling so maybe flo is just tricking me and is about to arrive. What are you going to do about your long wait? I’ve been resisting the urge to re test at the moment

@Marvellouslymadmum I’m going to wait for 2 days as last one mu cycle was 41 days and see if AF arrives at 41 days this time.. if not retest and then ring the gp as I’m worried there is something wrong now. It’s hard work makes you feel like wanting to give up sometimes but then I do try to be positive aswell. It’s just a waiting game all of the time isn’t it

@HT1335 it's so hard not to think there's something wrong isn't it?! I mean I'd be devastated if I am going through the change this early but at the same time I'd rather that than anything sinister! We have two teenagers each but none together and my partner would love a little girl as it's all boys in his family. I'm going to resist the urge to test today and hopefully tomorrow then if af doesn't show I think I'll test first thing Thursday and call the docs if still bfn then

@Marvellouslymadmum this is my fear as I’m
36 and I don’t have any children so I don’t know if there are any problems with me or early menopause. But hopefully it’s just taking a long time for the pill to come out of my system and a normal cycle to resume 🤞🏻 Time will tell I suppose. I’m sending good luck to everyone

@HT1335 I'm sure you'll be ok at 36 I mean even 41 is young for the menopause but it does happen, I would imagine it will still be the pill messing your cycle up, mine was all over the place for around 8 months after I came off of it! My partner was told back in his early twenties that he has low motility sperm so always knew there may be issues, he did manage to have his other two and we got pg once but that unfortunately resulted in a mc so just now hoping for a little miracle to come along! @HT1335 no it's not! My partner gets so stressed with it all I try not to talk to him about it too much lol, I read this whole thread yesterday and it did calm me quite a lot, it helps knowing I'm not on my own!

@Marvellouslymadmum I am so glad I started this thread. It has been such a great support system. I really don't talk to my spouse about the tests, both opks and pregnancy. He would think I was crazy how many pregnancy tests I've taken. Haha. That is why coming here is so great.

@HT1335 @ImpatientMama glad I didn’t waste money on yet another test as I’ve just been paid a visit by AF Can’t believe it. Really thought it had happened this time around!! Bring on my fertility appointment at the end of the month. Need answers!! X

@Emc16x aww I’m sorry but at least you know what’s happening for this cycle and yes you’ve got your appointment to go find some answers and hopefully they can provide you with the correct treatment, all the best for your appointment

Well I caved this morning and tested again with fmu and still a bfn! Why did I cave? I still had hope and now I just feel deflated I am now 8 days late from when app predicted af and cd 37 never been this late and there's no sign of af at all but I'm bloated and nauseous having dizzy spells and have an achy back what on earth do I do now?!

@Marvellouslymadmum I really don’t know I would maybe ring your doctor for advice I am in the same boat I am cd 41 no AF and no spotting I don’t a test at the wkend if I do another it will be negative so I don’t know what to do either

@HT1335 I've done a bit of Googling lol but found out more about late ovulation etc and although I'm generally pretty regular apparently it doesn't always mean anything if you have a none regular month. It does say that if you ovulate late then your af will be later so I'm hoping it's that and I'm still in the running for bfp or just a very late af. I'm going to wait until payday (a whole week away!) and if still no af I'll test again then if still negative I'll contact gp that's the plan anyway!

@Marvellouslymadmum oh thanks that’s good to know! I’ll maybe test again at the wkend and see what happens from there. It sure is expensive business. Next month I will test for ovulation so I get a clearer idea of what’s going on... hopefully anyways! And that sounds a good plan for you I hope you get your BFP!

@HT1335 yes it's so expensive! I had been taking my bbt but with all the Christmas stuff going on I forgot a few days right after ovulation was due so then decided to leave it for the rest of the month! Typical, not that I could tell that well what was going on from it anyway haha I'll have to get some ovulation tests as well and see if that helps. I hope you do too! As they say we are not out until af arrives

@Marvellouslymadmum this was me couple months ago! Relax and af will come and you can try again! It's stress it stops it I have been using purely old fashioned have sex when wabt! So hoping will work this time x
