No AF and BFNs 🤷‍♀️

Hello! We are trying for our second child and I am frustrated. I am sure several of you can relate to being frustrated with this whole TTC thing. 😅 Anyways. AF was due 3 days ago and has not shown her ugly face yet. But I have also gotten nothing but negatives (and one invalid). I was planning on not testing again until AF is a week late. Anyone get their BFP that late or even later? I am irregular, so it could just be a late period? I just want to know if I really am pregnant or not, so I can move on! Thanks for any insight you all provide! 😊

@HJen22 which app do you use? I have Flo and use to religiously go on it but haven’t recently. Might try BBT next month to see if u actually did ovulate or not.
@HT1335 I know! Luckily my partner gets it as I waffle on to him so much haha but he was so poorly we were trying and it just wasn’t happening if you know what I mean!!

@HT1335 I know, I totally understand how you feel, I've tried to explain to my bf so many times. Then I think maybe I should just not track anything. But if it's not happening with tracking what are the chances it will happen without!! I found the OPKs ok but doing BBT is a bit of a pain! It always seems to take ages and I'm sitting with the thing in my mouth for ages! But then I felt better knowing I had ovulation confirmed. Ugh it's just not meant to be this hard is it 😭 i have feelings of worrying it won't happen either, let's try and stay positive 🥰

@Bgrace8 I have used Femometer since quite early on, and paid a bit more to get all the advise, predictions etc and I have also recently been using Ovia which I quite like too. I find myself getting a bit obsessed with the Femometer one and the predictions and charts and things! Just too easy to!

@HJen22 @HT1335 I think If it hasn’t happened this month I will track with bbt just for peace of mind. Might try download a different app too.

Where are you two from anyway? And what are your plans over Christmas?

No it’s not supposed to be this hard and stressful
I’m quite surprised about it all! Shows how naive I have been! I use a PinkBird app that was free and my Fitbit. Yep you think should we not bother to track anything or start to track everything 🤷🏼‍♀️ I really didn’t expect it to take this long
But we all do need to try and think positive and that it will happen when the time is right! At least next year the world will hopefully be a safer place so we’ve maybe times things right 🤞🏻

Working through Xmas as I’m nhs but I’ve asked for some leave in January so I can have some
Chill time, not that there’s a lot to do! What about you?

@HT1335 how long have you been trying for now? I thought the same, came off pill in august and was thinking aww I’d have a spring baby!! Haha.

I live in Leeds and work in estate agency so been incredibly busy last few months and tomorrow is my last day finishing at 12!

I love Cumbria, we recently stayed there in Carlisle and a cottage with a hot tub!

@Bgrace8 I came off the pill in April if I’d have known it would take this long I should have came off the pill sooner! I had been on the pill for a long time so I’m hoping it’s just taken a while for the pill to come out of my system, even though they say it’s out as soo as you stop. Yep it’s a nice place, if we got to the stage of needing ivf we would need to travel to Newcastle but I’m really hoping we don’t have to come to that 🤞🏻🤞🏻 I don’t know if I could handle the stress of it

@HT1335 and how old are you both? Fingers crossed you won’t need it as I know it can take a while for some people cant it, but then some fall on so quickly so it is frustrating!

@Bgrace8 I am up in Scotland! That's me finished work for Xmas (work for an oil company and been wfh since March!) we are at my sisters for Christmas which I'm really looking forward to as I have two adorable nephews ages 1 and almost 3 who I dote on 🥰 what about you? I will be 33 in March! You?

@HT1335 I also came off the pill right at the end of March, so basically April! I've always had a bit of a fear of it taking a while, and had really hoped it wouldn't 😔 my doctor said to keep tracking cycle length after I spoke about last month and I could go back in March for a referral. I am hoping I don't have to though...

@Bgrace8 I’m 36 so I know I’m classed as ‘older’ too which is also a worry but I’ve only been with my partner for 3 years the timing hasn’t been right before now. How old are you?
It is very frustrating although I have felt more relaxed about it this time maybe because it’s been a busy month with work and Christmas so I haven’t had as much time to think about it

I've had 2 One Step negative tests but my period was due over a week ago now. So frustrating that I'm in this misery of not pregnant but no period nonsense.

@HJen22 I really hope it happens naturally for us! 🤞🏻 I have 2 nieces I love them to bits it’s amazing being an auntie isn’t it ❤️

@HT1335 I hope so too ❤️🤞🏻 I've been with my bf 4 years but we only just moved into our house last September. I'm so glad you have felt more relaxed! I've had days of being ok and chill and days of being stressed! Annoying as I so wanted it to be a stress free month! I've managed to avoid any tears yet though! Aww how lovely! I love being an auntie so much! It's the best! My sister is one of two people who know we are TTC and I know she can't wait for me to have a baby and her be an auntie.

@NatMoz im sorry you're going through this, it's an agonising wait isn't it! I hope you have some answers soon, a BFP would be so lovely! Are your cycles normally pretty regular?

My app says AF is due tomorrow I’ve had no spotting so I’m not sure! I did get a negative Covid test one only time I was pleased to see a negative! So I’m in the waiting game again, I won’t test until I’m a few days late as the app could be wrong and after last time, who knows when AF is actually due!
Is everyone else doing ok?
@NatMoz last month some of us had very late AF but would usually have pretty regular cycles

Oh I’ve had a fair few of those due to work! Horrible things, so glad you are negative!

My app said I was due yesterday but I am yet to come on, my last cycle however was 33 days which is Monday so I’m trying not to think about it until the !

Yea there is no sign of AF today so I am going to try not thinking about it for a few days... I won’t be able to but I will try! My last cycle was 41 days it was really late so it may be the same again this time

Yeah it was ridiculously late and very confusing as I’m normally like 29 - 31 days. I’ve been so busy with work and Christmas luckily I’ve not had time to think and decide what to do, I’ll maybe wait until mid week and then take one if no sign of AF are you going to do a test or wait for a few days? @Bgrace8

@HT1335 I can never think of what I want to do! My last was 33 days which will be tomorrow so going to deffo wait till that’s over then think about what to do! So nerve wracking either way and we have family staying for a few weeks so it’s going to be very difficult to do test or tell my partner!

@Bgrace8 I’m 31 days today and I still feel tired and a bit sickly but that could be down to working a lot, I’ll maybe test on Tuesday if no sign by then
It’s awful isn’t it as you don’t want to get another disheartening negative but on the other hand you want to know what’s happening
