No AF and BFNs 🤷‍♀️

Hello! We are trying for our second child and I am frustrated. I am sure several of you can relate to being frustrated with this whole TTC thing. 😅 Anyways. AF was due 3 days ago and has not shown her ugly face yet. But I have also gotten nothing but negatives (and one invalid). I was planning on not testing again until AF is a week late. Anyone get their BFP that late or even later? I am irregular, so it could just be a late period? I just want to know if I really am pregnant or not, so I can move on! Thanks for any insight you all provide! 😊

@sociallydistained that's soo annoying , I'm on CD 30 now I usually have 27 day cycles give or take a say either side so now how you feel it's horrible cxx

Yes that’s what I said to my bf, if we had an answer fair enough we would accept it and move on but it’s so strange that I don’t have an AF
Well none of us do! It’s good that we can talk on here and get some support as I think our stress levels would be much higher if we couldn’t

@HT1335 agree ! This forum has been a god send to me tbh ! It's nice to be able to talk to people who know how you feel . I really hope we all get some answers soon .

I'm going to try hold off testing again until Friday if still no AF as should then have a strong line if positive ! X

Just feeling completely demotivated and think I will until AF arrives. It's hard to be stuck in limbo!

@sociallydistained I read that post you! So it does happen! I'm sorry it was a bfn, keep testing though and you're still not out it AF isn't here!

I can still see a faint line @Donnat89 try again in two days when I think they say the levels of hcg will have doubled?

@HT1335 I'm sorry 😞 it's so mentally draining not knowing isn't it! This month even more so for all of us since it's dragged on so long. You're still not out til AF arrives either though!!

Well I think AF is on the way, had some very light spotting when I first got up. It's crazy cos if I ovulated really late like my app will now predict, I wouldn't really have had a chance anyway as it was a few days before AF was originally due so I thought we could relax with DTD. Cruel body! So I think we have three options, have a rest and start again new year, just DTD every 2/3 days the entire month until AF or properly track with OPKs and BBT to confirm ovulation again. Who knows what's best!

That should have read I read that post too! Crazy long time to wait!!

@HJen22 I have just started light spotting literally how strange! But on the other hand I now have my answer I wish it had just been on time as it has now delayed things even further.
We’re the same do we buy the kits or just relax and dtd as and when we want to, or not even think about it until jan. I don’t think I’ll be able to leave it until jam if I’m honest so I think we will just relax and dtd at random times and see if that approach works.
Also try not to be stressed I need to book in for some massages or something!!

@HT1335 how strange is that! This whole cycle is out of whack, I normally spot the day before or late in the evening, and then full flow is here in the morning. I guess not every cycle has to be the same, be easier if it was though!

At least we have answers, and I think I'd accepted the fact I wasn't going to get a BFP after the BFNs last week, still gutting though as would have been amazing if we had all got them after this nightmare wait!

Yeah I'm going to see what my bf thinks. I know he feels the pressure and I also do during the TWW so maybe we both need a little time. I definitely obsess over it more and can be quite miserable a lot of the month! So that's not fun for him either! A massage is a good idea; I really enjoyed the one I had last month! I might get one too!

I caved and did a boots digital one I had came back negative so pretty sure AF is just going to be really late .

If still nothing by Friday I will test again . But think af will arrive at some point today ! X

@Donnat89 I feel like I'm going mad because I've been having cramps etc for weeks which have led me to believe AF was coming so now I don't even know what to make of any symptoms I get. Today is officially the latest I've been so expecting today but if not I will try FRER Friday/sat I guess. Seems silly trying a FRER I feel like if I was pregnant I should of shown on a regular by this point (had what I thought was implantation bleeding 2 weeks ago)

@sociallydistained I feel your pain! I won't believe anything until either AF arrives or I get a super clear BFP , it's so hard waiting .

I also keep thinking yep AF is coming and keep going to the loo to check but nothing , I fully expected
To wake up to AF today but nothing no spotting at all which I usually do get the day of AF then full flow a few hours later .

My cycles are usually 27 days five or take a day either side sometimes but never had a cycle go beyond 30 days and only reached 30 day cycles twice now since 2019 .

If I get through today with no AF I may be a bit hopeful at the moment just in limbo and feeling like my body is playing a horrible trick on me ! X

It’s very strange as to why we’re all going through this but I’m glad we can discuss it and get some support. As each month is as confusing as the next for me personally! Fingers crossed for us all
At least we have this thread to guide us through x

@HT1335 I agree last month AF was a day early but actually was a welcome relief! This being late and not knowing is awful !

But we can support each other let's hope by the end of the week we have answers either way ! Xx

This month has been very strange for me too, even starting AF has been different to usual!! Hopefully this was just a random off month! Onwards and upwards. Haven't spoken to my BF yet about next month, will wait until after work and have a chat! Anyone else doing anything different next month?

@Donnat89 I did see more faint lines. But i would wait to test in a couple days and it will hopefully be darker. I think I am going through a chemical pregnancy right now. Doctor will confirm Fridsy I'm sure. I hope this doesn't happen to you!
Sorry after all this waiting AF showed for you all. But at least you have answers and can jump into the next cycle! I've heard good things about kits, but personally I think it would stress me out. But also it's a great way to know exactly when you ovulated. I think after all my stuff is over and I am ok to start trying again, I will just make sure to DTD more often. We were very sporadic this past cycle. So I think if my husband and I are better about DTD every 2/3 days, it should happen for us. Hopefully!

Cramps and back ache are getting worse as the day goes on so think AF is coming at any time now ! X

Can I jump on ladies? I’m feeling so isolated right now and feel like I’m so alone. AF was due 4 days ago but I could just be late. Very veiny boobs also slightly sore I have been having weird cramps around time AF ‘due’ all tests are BFN’S!! Even early response ones Xx

Well ladies my AF is here! Mixed emotions just glad I know and can crack on with life now! 🤞🏽 For a Christmas miracle.

You feel but could be you ovulated later , could be late implantation or could just be a late AF . There really is no one answer at the moment . I would just test every other day if still no AF .

If by next week no AF call the gp perhaps although my GP won't do anything for a missed period until you miss like 3 xx

@Donnat89 I know I feel a little relieved, would have been even more worried if it was the end of the week and stil no AF just want to crack on get over it and try again for my birthday and Christmas! It’ll happen when it happens ☺️. Let me know how you get on as faint lines are reassuring, I don’t hear a lot about false positives on FR especially two!

@Darcy278 could be anything I know it’s not possible but try out it out your mind for a few days and see what happens at the end of the week (easier said than done especially in the first few days)

@Bgrace8 yes I bet you do like it's disappointing of course but not knowing is far worse I think . Like you I just want to start to look forward to Christmas and also my birthday ! Obviously a BFP would be fantastic but would rather no and then deal with feeling a bit gutted and just move forward !

@Darcy278 welcome! You are not alone, we have all been going through the same thing and it's really helped to have the girls to talk to this week. It's such a horrible wait and BFNs are so sad to see, but as @Donnat89 said, maybe you ovulated later, have you done any tracking?

If my BF doesn't think a rest would do us good, I can't decide whether to track and DTD every 2/3 days all month or not track. I found the OPKs ok but the BBT was a bit stressful. On the app I had I paid for analysis which did me absolutely no good, it runs out soon though and I'll stick with the standard. Tracking and apps can give such false hope, messes with my head!
