Want to get a group of ladies who are TTC at the same time to have someone to chat to during this journey together. It's a lonely process for me and only
In early stages of trying but would love advice, tips and general chat. This is an open chat and can't wait to chat to you all

Who fancies doing a quick introduction post?

I'll go first.

Im 28 and live in Cornwall, married for 3 and a bit years. Have a son who was 2 in May.
I work for the NHS in IT development. We are currently working on our second renovation project, in the hopes that this will be our forever home ☺️

apwilso · 21/10/2020 12:08

@Bouncytree yeah 5 days can't say I've not missed it then hahaha. I had some EWCM around 17th/18th Oct noticed it but not really noticed much else. The darkest I saw my ovulation test was yesterday but hoping it to go darker soon! I know what you mean I'm currently working in the office but off this week so it's far too easy to over test now I'm away from work!

@Tabbycat92 you're telling me hahaha! It's mad before I read into it I was so oblivious to it all. Now I'm falling down the dark hole of it allHmm

@apwilso @Bouncytree thank you 😊 I’ve also been doing the every other day until peak so because I got a peak yesterday we DTD then and will DTD tonight and tomorrow.

@Tabbycat92 I’ll join in too ☺️
I’m 31 and live in the North East. Got married in January of this year although me and my husband have been together since we were 15 & 16 ❤️
I work for an energy company and am currently working from home which I love. Recently got a gorgeous little boy black Labrador who is a bit of a tinker but is absolutely adorable most of the time 😂😂

Leah2501 · 21/10/2020 12:18

@Tabbycat92 Good idea!

I’m 25 and a nurse in the NHS. Myself and husband have been together for 11 years. We have our 2 year old dog and a 1 year old daughter 😂 our dog is definitely our first baby! My maternity leave wasn’t the bed due to lockdown and I got called back to work during Covid. If that didn’t happen I think we would have delayed baby number 2 until late next year or year after. However you only get 1 life so we’re doing what makes us happy right now.

apwilso · 21/10/2020 12:21

@Tabbycat92 @MrsLauraM I'll jump on as well!

I'm 25 from Manchester, weird one with my boyfriend (he's 31) 👀 not been together long but he works with me known him for years and both been through a shite prior relationship been unofficial and off and on for nearly a year and only recently made it official... confusing for most hahaa. We decided that it's something we both want so why wait could go into more detail but don't want to bore anyone. I work as a department supervisor for a company that does contract work for supermarkets and the only baby I have is my little 2 year old sproodle who can be a little nightmare but wouldn't change him for the world!

@Tabbycat92

Me and my other half are trying for our first. We didn't find each other until we were a bit older but we are both really excited whilst trying to hold back!
As we are old 😛 we are already in the process of tests and stuff with the nhs.

MrsLauraM · 21/10/2020 12:30

@Leah2501 absolutely! No point delaying things if it’s what you want.
@apwilso awww he is adorable! This is my little mischief 💜

apwilso · 21/10/2020 12:38

@Originalusername6432762 was it a tricky process with the NHS with COVID etc or has it not been too bad?

@MrsLauraM oh my goodness! What a little angel🖤

@Tabbycat92 @MrsLauraM @Leah2501 @apwilso my turn!

I'm 26 from the South East, been with my OH for 8 years now and it was either a wedding or a baby... we chose the baby. Can't afford to do both and especially with the world right now we thought the baby would be the best idea. I also see it as this way we get our children at our wedding. I work in London so it will be nice to not have to do the travel when I am on mat leave! 😂

MamaMoonbeam · 21/10/2020 15:29

Hello all TTC ladies!
This will be our first cycle TTC!
It will be 2nd baby for me (DS is 11) and 1st with my DP.
So ridiculously excited! I have longish cycles (31/32 days) and due to ovulate around the ends if the month! But also nervous as im 37 and worried my age might effect things! 😬

MrsLauraM · 21/10/2020 16:21

@FTM94 I don’t blame you, there’s all the time in the world to get married.

@MamaMoonbeam welcome! 😊

Where is everyone in their cycles at the moment? Anyone know when they would be due to test yet?

apwilso · 21/10/2020 16:23

@FTM94 I love the idea of the kids being at the wedding and you can have babies and weddings are restricted so I would say it's the best choice!

@MamaMoonbeam hello! Sending you a lovely
The wishes. It's exciting time for you!

Hi everyone, jumping on this thread as well as it’s so nice to speak to people in the same boat :)

I’m 33, from the midlands, been married for a year but together for what feels like forever and ttc our first. Second month trying but first month properly tracking etc, I’m 2/3 days into the 2ww and it’s sooo hard to stop thinking about it constantly. Hoping to test with a first response test next week, thinking maybe Thursday / Friday depending how patient I can be!

@FTM94 it will be lovely to have baby at the wedding, our friends did the same with the whole Covid situation.

@MrsLauraM such a cute dog!

1992EM · 21/10/2020 16:43

@WaitingtobeaMama thank you. I hate not having the control and think that is why I find it so hard. 🤣sending baby dust your way .
@BouncyTree thank you so much. I am doing alright. Having a more relaxed month has helped . I also came off here until now as also found that hard seeing everyone get their BFPs . I know it is still early days and now just taking it as it comes. Hope you are doing well and sending baby dust your way.
@Tabbycat92 thank you, you too 💕
@apwilso I would say you are close to a peak . These are high but they have to be as dark or darker than the control line to be positive. looks like you'll peak in a day or two.
@FTM94 Thank you. Hopefully your period gets back on track. It didn't take me long to get regular again . Although I was not ttc at the time so didn't pay attention to how long my first period took.

Tabbycat92 · 21/10/2020 17:02

@kjs20 I'm 2 days into my 2ww also! I'm thinking of testing in just over a week ☺️

FTM94 · 21/10/2020 17:02

@apwilso exciting!! 🤞🏼

@KJS20 welcome ☺️ the TWW must be so hard!! I keep telling myself when my time comes I will try and hold out but I just know I will cave and by a first response !! X

KJS20 · 21/10/2020 17:06

@Tabbycat92 @FTM94 honestly it is sooo hard and it’s only 3 days month 1. I thought I would be super chilled about it all and just see what happens etc, but once you’re in the zone it’s impossible to relax, for me anyway!

Agree with @1992EM that it’s probably a control thing and we have no control at all really about what happens once you start ttc.

Sending baby dust to all!

apwilso · 21/10/2020 17:12

@1992EM I'm thinking the same with the peaks just got clearblue ones to see if I can spot it out!

@KJS20 hey! Welcome to the chat! I'm the same started it so I wasn't so alone with it all!!

I've just checked my app and apparently I can test in 9 days!

1992EM · 21/10/2020 17:13

Good luck to everyone. Hopefully this will be our month 💕

1992EM · 21/10/2020 17:14

@apwilso clear blue are amazing. So clear . Although I use cheap ones until I see a peak then use clear blue to confirm x

MrsLauraM · 21/10/2020 17:26

I think I’ve ovulated today but I’m going to try and hold out testing until AF is late. So maybe around 6th November (I’m also off work that day so I won’t have to worry about trying to focus on working whichever way it goes).
I agree about it being hard though. I feel like I spend my waking hours either reading threads on this site or watching pregnancy announcements/gender reveal videos on YouTube and Facebook. I’m obsessed! 🙈😂😂

FTM94 · 21/10/2020 17:38

@MrsLauraM you are not alone!! The ADs on my social media have gone crazy from all the stuff I have been googling 🙈

I'm excited to see what happens next week ladies, I hope we have some BFPs to celebrate 🤞🏼 and an AF to celebrate for me 😂
