As we agreed - starting a fresh thread before our original shuts down. Will post this new link into the old thread so everybody can find us!

In the meantime ~ sprinkling it with pink and blue baby pixie dust

Well I had a healthy day then I started the ironing and demolished a chocolate orange bar and a bag of cheesy Doritos and now feel sick

ILTS - dunno whats going on with you honey sorry. Usually CBD are pretty good, agree with the wait two days then test again (that would be Tuesday not too far away).

grinningbee - my final scan was ok bit sad but was good to get the all clear, I had a little bit left up there but it cam eout the next day, best of luck x

TJuice · 22/10/2007 00:00

hey ladies, hope you had a good weekend.
i cried off the dinner on sat, which was fine with the others anyway. i just wanted to veg out on the sofa with dp, especially as we had a guest staying the night on friday too.

so had a very lazy weekend with lots of naps - hope i can sleep tonight.

my healthy eating is so out the window right now, but today i started a food diary, which helps me be a bit more accountable, if nothing else.

i ate two macaroons and a few chocolate nutty things i got in paris by way of junk today, plus quite a bit of fresh crusty pumpkin seed bread and real butter, which is alright in my book.

has anyone seen lcy about?

giggling at you ripping apart your tests, sausage

good luck grinningbee Splish - i had the lightest AF after 28 days, it lasted only two days and didn't even need a tampon (sorry tmi) but then i had a D&C and think they scraped the beejaysus out of me.

anyway, here's hoping its not TEW

iliketosleep · 22/10/2007 01:44

hi tjuice

i've made up my mind now.....

im going to take those tests as bfn after some research and help from a fellow mner.

I asked a question on the 16th about ovulation EWCM etc as i had noticed some the day before and also bd'd that day. My cervix was defiantly high and open then (i check everyday in the bath, its become a bit of a hobby ) anyway i checked it again since thursday and its been low hard and closed, i thought when your pg it stays high so after reading up tonight i thought oh bugger then started planning my trip to buy towels and tampax.

Anyway i came across this site that said that after you ovulate your cervix drops down and then goes back up. I wasnt sure when i posted about the EWCM it feels like it was weeks ago but it was only last week and found it just and as it was the 16th that means it hasnt been 7 days since possible ovulationnever mind the 14 your supposed to wait to test so im not going to test until the at least a week on tuesday unless af beats me to it!

im sorry ive rambled on, im just so proud of myself for working all of this out as before i came to this thread i was so clueless lol

so PLEASE!!! dont let me test until the 30th!! xxxxxx

EllieG · 22/10/2007 09:13

Easier said than done ilts! It does start to get a bit soul-destroying though, not to mention expensive.

Mich10 · 22/10/2007 09:42

Hi all,

I'm new to this thread but I am feeling the need for a bit of support/advice/comfort. I also need to offload, I realise that, that is probably bad manners but I either type or explode!

2nd m/c in 3 months started on Friday, day from hell, 200 miles from home doing a 6 hour presentation followed by a 3 hour drive home, wearing sunglasses and sobbing whilst driving. Pulled self together but started crying in the drive when I saw my DH in the garden (apparently very embaressing, the neighbours saw!). Didn't really feel like doing much on Sat, which yesterday earned me a lecture from DH about "dwelling and my inability to move on", before being hauled out to Sunday lunch with the IL's and their 6 month old Grandson who they are babysitting this weekend.

Is it just me?

07mumstheword · 22/10/2007 09:46

ilts What a lot of research you've done, it's so complicated! I can't get away from the fact you've had positive lines even if they are very faint, a line is a line. Anyway I wait with baited breath for further update and have my fingers crossed for you hun.

grinningbee I had a scan with first mc and they just gave me some leaflets of support. Second mc they didn't scan, it was so early there wasn't any need and I kept an eye on the blood. Hope your scan goes ok.

iliketosleep · 22/10/2007 09:49

no! its not just you, we have all done it and there should not be any pressure on you to move on! I cant believe your dh has said that to you and sod the neighbours who cares if they saw you crying, crying is an emotion and everybody does it! You are very welcome here and you can shout, scream, cry, laugh, grieve here and we are all here to help you as we all share the same experience

Welcome

iliketosleep · 22/10/2007 09:51

07 aparently taking the case away from the test strip can change the air humdidity going to the test strip before it has finished causing it to dry where it wouldnt usually making a very clear evap line! if i were to test again i would take the strip out of the test and use it as a dip stick test

whos a clever me then praise is welcome

07mumstheword · 22/10/2007 09:54

mich10 No it's not just you. I've had two very early mc's in 6 months and its tough. You are entitled to cry/laze around/dwell. Not only is it physical but mental aswell and it takes a lot out of you. Then to go out to lunch with IL's and 6 month baby is very hard. As upsetting as it can be for the men sometimes I think they are a little more distant from the situation afterall it's not happening to their body. Feel free to rant as much as you need everyone hear is lovely. Hope it helps.

Mich10 · 22/10/2007 09:57

Thanks iliketosleep (love the name , at work again today, pretending that I'm a normal person. Getting through the day by playing the what would a normal person do at 9.53,9.54 etc, if I string enough normal minutes together I can make it to the end in one piece.

I just want to go home and crawl under the blankets, but hey ho!

He want to start trying again, I feel we should at least wait until I stop bleeding

07mumstheword · 22/10/2007 09:58

ilts Last friday you had BFP on Tesco and Lloyds pharmacies own brands (I'm ignoring the CBD BFN cos thinking positive) so did you rip those apart too?

Praise indeed for your homework!

07mumstheword · 22/10/2007 10:04

mich10 any chance you can go home ill? Just say you're sick? I maybe wrong in saying that as some people find work helps to take their minds off it but me I'd like to be at home under my quilt.

As for trying again, I would have thought waiting until after you stop bleeding is the right thing to do and even until you feel mentally ready. It's your body and you know it best.

iliketosleep · 22/10/2007 10:05

i didnt with the first tesco and llyods and didnt with the cb. but with the first tesco there was a pink streak that went from the wick to half way across withing the first to minutes then made a positive so i think it may have been a duff one.

mich its your body and its your choice when to get pregnant, dont do anything you dont want to do until you feel ready! I think if you only had m/c on friday you maybe should have took a couple of days off work to give yourself some 'me' time I had m/c 6 weeks ago tomorrow and waited a week for the bleeding to stop then started again, also there is risk of infection if ttc that soon after m/c if your still bleeding. Maybe dp doesnt understand how you feel, but we all know that 2 m/c in 3 months would certainly take it all out of you! 1 was enough for me!!!

iliketosleep · 22/10/2007 10:09

8 days till i can test grrrr

07mumstheword · 22/10/2007 10:09

ilts oh drats! But that still leaves the Lloyds pharmacy one to cling on to We will just have to wait and see. Good luck.

Mich10 · 22/10/2007 10:12

07mumstheword - Would love to but not an option at this moment.

Never mind, I'm going to make myself feel marginally better with a piece of chocolate and some sneaky internet shopping. I know that would make any first yr psychologist have a field day but who cares.

Does anyone know of anyone who has had a "first baby" at 37 after 2 m/c's without medical intervetion, or should I just quit whilst I'm only slightly battered and bruised?

iliketosleep · 22/10/2007 10:13

well i still have ebay tests that should hopefully turn up today or tomorrow and theres 7 so i can wee on 1 a day just so i can still satisfy my addiction and during the week i will stock up on cb, tescos, llyods etc then will test with them next week

iliketosleep · 22/10/2007 10:19

i dont know anyone mich but im sure its been done

07mumstheword · 22/10/2007 10:32

Good plan ILTS

Mich10 I don't know anyone but I bet if you searched on Mumsnet you'd find someone. There is always hope. There are definately people having first babies in their late 30's early 40's and my GP told me last week that two mc's is just incredibly bad luck and they would do some simple tests if I had a third.

Hope you buy something nice to cheer you up.

iliketosleep · 22/10/2007 10:36

im a bit concerned that if i did manage to concieve on the 16th then i would be due on the 7th of august, this is a roll your eyes situation for 2 reasons....

i already have 2 dcs born in august the 18th and the 26th aswell as dd1 who was born the 27th july so if that isnt close enough...

its dps birthday the 7th of august and woe betide anyone that steals dps thunder on his birthday (although he doesnt care about his brthday )

although im so desperate for a baby at the moment i couldnt care less when its born as long as its born!!!

also i think if i already have 3 july/august babies if i have another august one it will be fine if that makes sense

Mich10 · 22/10/2007 10:47

07mumstheword - I have a GP appointment on Friday and will no doubt here the same "incredibly bad luck" line. Due to my diminishing child bearing years I am hoping to convince them to run some tests this time around, but as I didn't even get as far as a "positive" NHS test I'm not sure they'll be receptive.

iliketosleep - Any chance of rolling all those birthdays into one big party every year? Here's hoping you'll be adding to the you're already packed summer calander.

iliketosleep · 22/10/2007 10:50

thanks mich xx

well according to ovulation calendar thingy i was VERY fertile on the 15th so fingers crossed for af to stay well and truley away!!

07mumstheword · 22/10/2007 12:22

mich10 - I'm 34 and thought I was getting on a bit but I have read somewhere that you are not classed as "older" in child bearing years until you are 38. Unless they know different you could exadurate (spelling?) and tell them you've been trying longer than you have to help your case?

Doctors don't tend to do their own tests anymore and accept your test/s are true so don't worry about needing an "NHS positive".

Glad you've got an appointment I hope you get some help in the meantime don't forget we are here.

Sorry starlight I don't know how far gone you were when you mc'd. Mine were very early so doctor said it was fine to try again straight away and I took my first day of bleeding to be first day of new cycle. I could be wrong though. I did still get EWCM mid month so I hope it worked.
