@sunflowersaremyfav93 if the wedding is abroad you just have to make sure you've either had the baby or aren't more than 35 weeks pregnant. Once I get to the stage I would definitely be less than 35 weeks pregnant in May, I'm really relaxed about it. I dont mind being pregnant on the holiday itself, it isnt a Zika zone or anything like that. I feel ideally my husband would like one more bug holiday just us, but that is looking less and less likely now. I would have loved to have one last night drinking one, but it looks more likely we are heading for a second lockdown rather than a holiday happening anytime soon!

AMS19 · 20/09/2020 16:42

Big* not bug holiday! Ha!

sunflowersaremyfav93 · 20/09/2020 17:48

@AMS19 According to my app, if I fell in Feb which is our first month TTC then I'd be 32 weeks on the day we fly back home so that should all be ok.
I know what you mean, we'd have like a little city break at the end of the year or start or next but it's all looking highly unlikely now!

KittyT30 · 20/09/2020 19:17

Hi girls, went for 8 week scan yesterday and all looking good. Really feels lovely to see the wee baby inside (looks like a jelly baby) makes it all very real. I was 7 weeks and 6 days at scan and measuring 8 weeks and 3 days. My Jean's already dont fit, morning sickness still there but not as bad. Feel bloated but think it could be a little bump. Have hen party next weekend so gona be hard to keep secret Shock. Hope your all doing well. See a wee bump forming but too early for maternity and own clothes too tight, hard stage.. Also went from 32c to 34 D

Aww @KittyT30 such a cute little bump, so pleased you're doing well. Good luck with the hen party, what do you think you'll do to keep it hidden?

Pebbleinthesand · 20/09/2020 20:26

Thank you all for being so kind ladies. I'm feeling so down today. The bleeding has definitely got heavier as the day has gone on do I'm pretty sure it's AF, just early. Which now makes me wonder what the hell is going on with my cycle, rather than feeling confident in when I ovulate which I thought I was this month. I might get some OPKs and a thermometer to try and work it out. What're the ones that you scan with an app called? I feel like that might help me to feel more confident in what I'm doing.
I never had implantation bleeding with DD so I didnt know what to look out for but having googled it I'm pretty sure it's too much and too red (sorry if tmi) to be that.

@AMS19 that's so annoying about your period. My first 2 after the coil were only 2 to 3 days long so maybe this will be more like a normal period for me, like I had before I went on the coil.

I think if this bleed does only last a day or two I'll still take a test next weekend to be sure but I'd be very suprised if anything did happen.

AMS19 · 20/09/2020 20:44

@Pebbleinthesand I'm doing the BBT testing for this cycle and then going to OPK from the next cycle. Definitely the best way to get to know your cycle.
I would mind a short period, it is just weird how technically nothing has changed (I would be due to take my next pill pack tonight) so why i ended up having a nothing period is beyond me. Knowing my luck I'll have got pregnant on the pill and all this careful planning, stocking up on preconception tablets and OPKs will be for nothing 😂😂😂

mackjm20 · 21/09/2020 13:33

@Eiremogra yea the vitamin d someone else mentioned on here to be good! How did the blood tests go when do you hear back :)

@sunflowersaremyfav93 sorry to hear you are feeling fed up waiting. Ah I’m the same so out of the habit of exercise at the moment. I know it was so sweet of them :) re second wave it does make me really nervous but I feel like it could go on so long that I really don’t want to delay ttc! Did you see the panorama with Stacey Dooley about Covid babies? Was really interesting!

@CookieMonster3001 I know it was so sweet yes I am feeling better about ttc next month now as at least we are away at the time so fitting in dtd should be easier :) good idea re waiting until 12 dpo+ I’m not testing at all this month just waiting for af as I know the likelihood is next to zero so don’t want to waist money :)next month I know I will be itching to test lol! So exciting about you and your sister ttc at the same time :)

@gems05 I know it was so so lovely :) that’s good that your opks are getting stronger:) omgosh that is horrendous about the food poisoning are you feeling better now?

@bubblybrit it was so lovely! Ah yes I looked at the first response tests yesterday in Sainsbury’s for next month sooo expensive! I know I’ll end up buying some though knowing me!

@Amy929292 that’s so exciting that you have decided to ttc! Hope you have an amazing wedding too :)

@Pebbleinthesand how are you doing? Bless you sounds like there are so many bugs about
With you going back to school! Good luck with your laser eye surgery :) oh gosh sending such love your way- it’s so confusing to know implantation bleeding or af I hope you are okay?Daffodil

@AMS19 welcome :) that’s exciting that you are going on a cruise :) gives you something to look forward to aswell before ttc:) you are certainly in the right place such a nice group! I have tried to cut down on the caffeine to be honest though not completely and the alcohol has not decreased as we have had so many things pre planned lol! I’ve been making the most of it but If it takes more than 6 months I’ll just cut it out totally :) sounds like you are doing so many things right and some people don’t prepare at all before Ttc

@TTCWC2 thanks for the podcast tip :) going to give that a listen :)

@SparklePrincesss fingers crossed for you :)

@HeyDW96 omgosh omgosh omgosh I am so happy for you congratulations how do you feel? What happened when you found out/ how did you tell dh? Eek 1000 questions so so chuffed for you :) second positive yayyy:) please keep us updated on your journey :)

@butterfly5291 think you are so right about ohs not knowing how small the chances are. @sunflowersaremyfave93 totally agree that it’s so hard to put plans on hold for anything given this last year. Have you spoken to oh to see if he would consider bringing forward?

@KittyT30 so glad the scan went well :) awww! What a lovely little bump :) so so happy for you!

mackjm20 · 21/09/2020 13:39

Omgosh so much to catch up on today:) very excited that we have our second positive in the group :) I’m just waiting for af to arrive on Thursday after our shocking attempt at ntnp:) we go away next weds so excited for some downtime.

DH made a bit of a bobo this weekend...
His mum has been trying to rebook flights for next year and due to blood clotting in the past I can’t fly if pregnant so he text his mum saying if I’m pregnant I can’t fly. Lord his mum thought I was pregnant. All the baby emojis came back in the text reply! Basically I had to then explain that IF we try next year and IF I happen to be pregnant I cant fly and I am NOT pregnant! So mortifying haha he just did not explain it how I would have lol!

Mortified. So we saw them sat eve I was sure to drink wine just to confirm lol! But by then the whole family knew about the text! Talk about being inconspicuous we aren’t planning to tell anyone we are ttc as of next month and he was so unsly about it haha!

Like I can’t be mad at him as happy he is serious by telling his family but really like subtlety is not
His strength lol x

CookieMonster3001 · 21/09/2020 13:42

Happy Monday all!!

@ams19 yep me and hubby are officially TTC now. Although we decided after I had already ovulated, so just waiting for AF to come and go and then our first cycle begins! I am absolutely bricking it now lol

@gems05 how annoying that your OPK results were different after upgrading!! Thats really made me think twice about what I see on there now! I have to admit though I have always found FF the most accurate so I generally go by that.

@pebbleinthesand you aren't the only one! I have already calculated that if me and OH get pregnant in our first cycle, I will be due 9 days before his birthday and 24 days before my birthday! We will all be July babies haha. Im sorry your bleeding got heavier, maybe you ovulated a lot earlier than you thought? Defo invest in a thermometer as its the only thing that can confirm ovulation has happened.

@sunflowersaremyfav93 Im down south, and luckily in an area that have not had many cases at all but the increase is defo making me nervous. I think they are making an announcement tomorrow. I definately understand how you feel, Im constantly feeling jealous of everyone getting pregnant and having babies. Another cousin announced she was pregnant yesterday (thats the 5th now) and an old friend just gave birth! Its hard not to feel that way when you want something so much, I think its only natural. My OH also thinks we can just have sex once and bam ill be pregnant, they have no idea really!

@msqueeninthenorth glad to hear you got your peak!! Me and OH did think about delaying when the virus first hit, but I dont think we would let it affect us now. TTC could take a while and I wouldnt want Covid to get in the way and delay it further especially when we have no idea when it will end. Well done on going for a run!!

@HeyDW96 congratulations on your BFP!!! Our 2nd BFP on this thread now! How are you feeling? Any symptoms? Please dont feel guilty about 1 drink, they say that up until 8 weeks it shouldnt affect them.

@kittyt30 your little baby bump is looking so cute!! Im so happy you are doing well. Hope you manage to keep your little secret at the hen party, and you will have to let us know how you get on.

@mackjm20 glad you are feeling a bit better now! I feel like even though I have said I dont want to test until 12+ DPO, im prob gonna end up testing 1DPO and examining every single symptom I feel!! Me and OH family are going away in October and then a day after we come back me and OH are going to Wales for a few nights, and the one night we are at home in between trips will be 10DPO (If I ovulate according to FF) so I am a little torn as to whether I would want to test before me and OH go away so I can either suprise him or drink if its not the news I wanted, or just wait till we are both back. What is your predicted ovulation date for next month? Me and you will be TTCing at the same time!

CookieMonster3001 · 21/09/2020 13:45

@mackjm20 oh no!!!! I think my mum would probably hear what she wants to hear and get excited too!! You are going to have everyone questioning your every move whenever they see you, fine when you are not pregnant, but probably not as easy when you are and you are trying to keep it to yourself!!

mackjm20 · 21/09/2020 13:54

@CookieMonster3001 I know
I think I’ll be exactly the same lol! Eek I know exciting! Atleast we can just bounce our crazy questions off one another! My window is 6-12 with ovulation in the 10th according to flo but I have my opks and thermometer at the ready haha! How about you?

Omgosh I know he showed me all proud that he had told her and I just shook my head in despair like you know how she will read that right?! Haha A little restriction on travel would suit me fine during the 12 weeks of not telling anyone lol! X

CookieMonster3001 · 21/09/2020 13:58

@mackjm20 my window is 9th Oct - 12th Oct (ovulation on 12th - CD13) I usually ovulate around CD12/13 so seems pretty accurate, just depends on when I start my period really!!

Bless men do try don't they, they just don't always get it right! If I do fall on my 1st cycle, I ll be going to my sisters wedding at 7 weeks preg! That's gonna be fun to hide! Luckily I said to my sister if she is preg at the same time we can help each other get out of sticky situations lol.

So weird its all starting to feel so real now! I keep thinking, right in 8 days AF will arrive. AF lasts 2 days then I have 7 days of OPK testing and then that's it!!

mackjm20 · 21/09/2020 14:08

Ah I guess we will be testing at similar times then :) that’s good to know can try and keep one another from testing too early :)

Omgosh 💯 percent that’s good that you and your sister can help each other out if you are pregnant to hide it :) will you tell anyone else do you think?

Omgosh that’s like me counting down the days :) x

CookieMonster3001 · 21/09/2020 14:30

@mackjm20 defo!! I need to hide all my pregnancy tests! haha

We have agreed we are only telling my sister and my OH sister, but no one else until after 3 months. I reckon my mum will know though. She has a weird 6th sense for this sort of stuff!!

Eiremogra · 21/09/2020 17:29

@mackjm20 I’ve order them from Holland+Barrett so hope they arrive soon. Bloods tests went fine, should hear back this week - felt like a got a full MOT, feels like Gp is testing for everything! 10dpo today and having bad cramps. Feels like AF on the way :( BFN this morning :(

AMS19 · 21/09/2020 17:52

Does anyone know how to edit your period days on Fermometer? I can't find anyway of the app letting me make it a 3 day period - in all honesty it was more like 3 days of spotting but definitely not 4 days which they usually are! I've tried dragging the coloured bit on the calander and that didn't work at all

Its now 9 days since taking the pill and I had completely forgotten I was on birth control anymore. This is going to be a long 3 months...

butterfly5291 · 21/09/2020 18:58

@AMS19 you shouldn't log that as a period at all if it was your withdrawal bleed. It says to wait until your first "real" period to log.
I know it's hard to wait but you want to give yourself the best start to tracking so it is best to wait.

AMS19 · 21/09/2020 19:06

@butterfly5291oh wow interesting I didnt know that! In which case I will delete it altogether 😀 thank you!!

sunflowersaremyfav93 · 22/09/2020 08:34

Hi ladies,

Just catching up on all your messages.

So exciting you're officially trying @mackjm20 and @CookieMonster3001.

How are you feeling @Pebbleinthesand? Do you think it was an early period?

Has it sunk in yet @HeyDW96, how did you tell DH?

So yesterday we put a deposit down on a little puppy.. I must be crazy buying a pup 4 months before we start TTC but I've always wanted one... did think to myself the money I've spent on pup would come in very handy during mat leave but I apparently love piling pressure on myself 😂

Anyone else freaking out about money and having a baby? My bf can't understand why I'm worrying because we both have good jobs and earn well but you know what it's like!

HeyDW96 · 22/09/2020 08:52

@sunflowersaremyfav93 I was up at 5.30 for work so I usually wake him up with lights and doing my hair, he knew I was planning to test so he was lying wide awake when I came back through with the test. Couldn't believe my eyes when that line appeared!

I worry a lot about money aswell, we both have good jobs, I will get 9 months paid maternity and another 3 months unpaid too. Plus we have savings and our house is secure. I think it's just one of those things. One of my friends became unexpectedly pregnant and she hadn't been in her job for long enough to get anything but standard maternity pay from the government which isn't a lot. She was so worried but she told me they managed fine. My sister had a baby when both her and her husband were on quite low paid jobs and lived in a one bedroom flat, I think you just make it work because you have to! I'm trying not to freak out about money as I have so many other things worrying me too 🤣

HeyDW96 · 22/09/2020 08:54

@sunflowersaremyfav93 also the puppy is never a bad idea, my one is 5 months and she is the hardest but most rewarding thing in the world. Unconditional love 💕

sunflowersaremyfav93 · 22/09/2020 08:56

@HeyDW96 Aww so exciting!! When is your first scan? Will you go private?
You're so right, it'll work out because it has to!! We have savings, I get 3 months full pay and the other 9 months are 40% pay which isn't ideal but I can supplement that with £500/month from my savings. We don't have a wild lifestyle anyway.. we're very much home people, the most I've ever spent on myself is this puppy. I'm a natural worrier and it's one of the things I hate the most about myself so I need to learn to just let things be.

sunflowersaremyfav93 · 22/09/2020 08:58

@HeyDW96 Aww makes me feel so much better that you have a pup and didn't delay TTC either, I wasn't ever going to delay TTC but I did think have I just really added to my plate esp with the added expense. What breed of your pup? I'm just so excited.. we got these pictures yesterday..
