@Juno231 ours is 8. He's actually pretty independent and seems OK being left. But we didn't know that until he turned up. Hadn't met him. 🤣 Greyhounds are pretty laid back yes. And there's loads in rescues. There's a greyhound rescue up Doncaster way I looked up actually. But OH didn't want a greyhound. No real reason why. 🙄

paintfairy · 01/10/2020 11:14

Blood test done. Let's hope its the right day! Still bloody spotting. 🙄 Had to do a chlamydia swab so I'm hoping it doesn't affect that! AF due in a week. Ish. So half way through 2ww.

Have to laugh (well?) at OHs Drs. Literally ridiculous. He's meant to have some kind of health check (unrelated to ttc). He had a blood test and the rest is done by a nurse over the phone. Height, weight, blood pressure (why they don't take that when you go for the blood test? Expect you to have your own monitor?). Anyway- it should have been Monday last week at 9. They didn't call and so OH ended up ringing reception about 9.25 (not sure why he did that, I wouldn't) and unfortunately she then was trying to ring him whilst he was calling reception. She left voicemail. So then he rang back again to say he'd missed it to which he was told that they'd pass on the message. Nurse rang him that afternoon and rescheduled it to Tuesday morning at 8.40.
Tuesday- he goes to stand near back door ready, as reception wasn't the best when we were away. Gets a voicemail. She's already rang (8.32). He calls back (8.39) to be told by reception he's missed it so needs to reschedule it for next week.

Firstly- how can you miss an appointment when the time hasn't even passed? The appointment was 8.40. Secondly- how can there be no leeway at all for technological issues? If a phone doesn't instantly have signal do you not try again? I assume they rang the person after him or whatever, so just move people about if one doesn't answer? But it was before his bloody time anyway! Absolute nonsense. No wonder nothing ever gets sorted!

MimiArm · 01/10/2020 13:45

@paintfairy you've just summed up exactly how useless the system is. How ridiculous is that. Missing an appointment before it's even due to begin! 🙈🙈

Hope bloods come back soon and hope you got the day right. The part that baffles me is, the GP says to have test done 7 days after you ovulate, yet they tell you not to track ovulation and just relax 🙄 !

I've started spotting today and hoping it turns to a full flow before tonight. I've been in agony since last night with cramps - deffo the worst ever. Must be cos the lining is so thick (CD55 now). I actually feel off and on like I'm going to be sick.

I've joined a local gym at a hotel nearby this morning (well, 25 min drive away) and booked into the pool at 7.30 am on Mondays, wednesdays and Fridays. Last ditch attempt to tone up for wedding and also relieve stress so might help with ovulation. First session is tomorrow. Hoping the fact it's booked will make me go!

paintfairy · 01/10/2020 13:52

@MimiArm yeah I did think that actually. And if I got it wrong I'll have to track next month to try again! 🙄🤣

Oh that doesn't sound good at all! Hopefully it'll get on with it then now. Cramps are awful. I feel sick with them if they get bad.

I need to do something about my weight but a gym seems excessive. I'll just keep moaning about it..... 🤣

paintfairy · 01/10/2020 14:14

@Juno231 I've got the nhs app. It's verified my photo ID. But I can't see anything. It says I have to request access from my GP surgery. Do you literally just ring them up? What a faff. 😂 Do they press a button or what?

Juno231 · 01/10/2020 15:23

@paintfairy ha yeah I mentioned that - you need to call reception to ask them to grant permission to see the medical records. Speaking of which, spotted my pap smear results on the app today - all clear! Your OH's story with the GP makes my blood boil though, I HATE that kind if inefficiency.

@Juno231 did the NHS do you AMH test?

Juno231 · 01/10/2020 21:17

@paintfairy no I used letsgetchecked.com

OP posts:
paintfairy · 01/10/2020 21:18

@Juno231 ah OK. Cool. Friend was doing some home test and I just assumed nhs did it!

MimiArm · 01/10/2020 21:44

@Juno231 I used letsgetchecked initially for my first CD3 test and it came back low oestrogen. But I had same test done a month later at GP and it was normal.

Only mentioning cos you've previously said your AMH was low - maybe it's not 🤷‍♀️ I know levels for oestrogen can vary month to month but just throwing out there.

Juno231 · 01/10/2020 22:15

@MimiArm thank you, I appreciate it!

Hey ladies
How’s everyone ?
4DPO and driving myself insane
Keep telling myself it might be the month but we DTD once on OV day...right ok...ahhh need to hold out for another 7 days before I’m sure I’ll cave in and test 😣😣😣
Happy weekend to you all!
Also symptom spotting as always and freakishly obsessing over my CM (gross gross why do I do this 🤮)

paintfairy · 02/10/2020 22:48

@MrsTwentyEight 😂 you definitely need to try and distract yourself. I never even think about it now, I just assume its a no. Lol.

I am 8 or 9 dpo. Still bloody spotting! If my blood test is normal, I'll actually eat my hat. 😂 Terrible headache tonight. So that's not fun. Otherwise nothing to report.

@MimiArm any sign of AF?

Juno231 · 03/10/2020 00:02

@MrsTwentyEight got my fingers crossed for you and @paintfairy

@paintfairy your spotting is nuts! How many more days until AF?

AF showed this evening weirdly enough. CD1 again...

@MrsTwentyEight @paintfairy @Juno231

Hi ladies

@MrsTwentyEight - I admire your upbeat ness. Fingers crossed for you this month. I really think your weight loss will have made a massive difference for you.

@Juno231 Sorry to hear AF arrived again. Onwards and upstairs!

@paintfairy No, but maybe yes. I've no idea. Still something there but I can see it when I wipe so does that mean spotting rather than AF? Deffo more there than last time around but still not what I would call a period. RHR is up high too which has me convinced it's not a period. So I didn't take the tablets this time around.

I've apt with another clinic this coming Saturday. I'm gonna wait and speak to them and come up with a plan with them. The other clinic are only interested in me waiting for IVF. The new doctor is much cheaper too, but has good reviews.

paintfairy · 03/10/2020 08:50

@Juno231 Sorry to hear about AF. How frustrating! I guess it'll be interesting to see what the SA says? But if that's OK, then what, do you think?

Agree spotting is bonkers. I usually have a 26 day cycle. Sometimes I only spot the last 3. Sometimes it's been 5. And sometimes this has been more like bleeding than spotting as its a lot and often red (i wonder if that might happen this month). The spotting atm is officially spotting though and only a bit. Brown. I have occasionally had it all the way from ovulation to AF before like this. Which is why i went dr with it last year because its not exactly ideal?!

@MimiArm no it doesn't sound like a period. If you don't ovulate- you can just bleed a bit because it's lining going and it'll not be as much. But then you said yours was thick so that makes no sense? Definitely sounds messed up. Good you are going to a new clinic if the other one is being useless. Maybe they can help you better and get this on track! Possibly won't help if you are stressed about the wedding etc though. Isn't it this month?

Juno231 · 03/10/2020 23:36

@paintfairy I do wonder myself. If his SA comes back clear I think I'd leave it until the new year and try IUIs at that point.

What CD are you now?

OP posts:
MimiArm · 03/10/2020 23:56

@paintfairy Yes, lining was 13mm last Monday. I think the lining is just so full it's shedding a bit and that's why it's not a proper period. But what do I know 🤔 Wedding is on 4 November so just over 4 weeks away. I'm all totally messed up atm. It's frustrating but I'm just rolling with it at this point!

paintfairy · 04/10/2020 08:40

@Juno231 CD23 today. Its annoying you've got to wait so long for the SA!

@MimiArm maybe just try to switch off from it then a bit? Until after the wedding. Or you'll go nuts! It's a stressful time anyway and you need to enjoy it.

MrsTwentyEight · 04/10/2020 11:14

@MimiArm thank you. Though I have stupidly gained a few pounds since my lowest weight thanks to the stress of TTC!

@paintfairy ahh you had spotting last cycle too right? :/ I hope AF doesn't show for you in 3 days time!!

@Juno231 sorry about AF :( Let this cycle be the one!

CD6 and feeling like crap here. The weather and everything else is just making me feel bleurgh. I really want to test soon so I can get back to my diet and exercise as I keep reading crap about HIIT being bad for implantation / intermittent fasting being bad for implantation etc ....

Juno231 · 04/10/2020 11:31

@MrsTwentyEight I take it you're 6DPO? Pretty sure paint fairy gets spotting nearly every cycle :(

I hear you on the weather, although currently I'm still feeling cosy and autumnal rather than gloomy and depressed - that'll hit me later 😂.

OP posts:
MrsTwentyEight · 04/10/2020 11:35

Oh dear yes 6DPO not CD6
Ah yes I thought she did @paintfairy @Juno231 :/

paintfairy · 04/10/2020 18:34

@MrsTwentyEight @Juno231

Yep. Every cycle since I came off the pill in June 2018. Sometimes it's a few days, sometimes a few weeks. It's like a lucky dip. 🙈🤣

paintfairy · 05/10/2020 18:11

NHS rant!

Text from Drs this morning that they have a message for me and I need to call them. Why can't they just ring you? One hour and 15 mins waiting on the phone it took me. 😡 All for them to say my chlamydia test was deemed unusable and I needed to do another. And so I had to go in and pick up a sample thing and do it again. I asked about nhs app when on phone and she said they had to set it up and give me a username and password? And to go in.

So i nipped in tonight. She took ages faffing with looking what sample thing to give me. Then said- do you know what it's for? I said yes but I'm not shouting it across here. 🙄 (They are behind glass, which they open, and are sat down behind a desk thing. My side there's a row of chairs so you can't stand next to the counter. It's like a 2m distance). Waiting room with people in! Anyway she eventually gave me one. Then I asked about app, she said they needed to set it up but I needed ID (didn't have it as I'd nipped in whilst passing).

Aaarrrgghhh. Next time then. So I've deleted my login i made because clearly I can't have 2? I don't know......

Juno231 · 05/10/2020 18:57

@paintfairy that sounds bonkers and all wrong. They shouldn't have to ask for ID (that's why you do it on the app?!) and certainly not have to set you up with username and pw. The receptionist just sounds incompetent tbh! I'm sorry :(
