SA results

Everything normal apart from motility which is 25% (should be 32% or above). Dr call for me tomorrow.

Juno231 · 23/09/2020 15:50

@paintfairy that's not too bad SA wise! Does he have any lifestyle changes he could make? Otherwise it's loose underwear and def no laptops on laps kinda deal. And yay for DTD - have you been taking any OPKs this cycle?

OH never got that letter from the GP so after the third chaser they told us they can just print it out and we can come pick it up from reception lol. Turns out the letter was a flippin referral form and the first available appointment is 27th of Oct!! Jebus.

Best of luck with your GP chat tomorrow paintfairy.

P.S I'm now 5DPO and just... waiting.

@Juno231 the rapid figure was 10% too which it says should be 20% but i can't even work out what that means. I think it's fast sperm? 🤣 But its not dire I guess, just not ideal.

He doesn't drink much. Doesn't smoke. Probably could be fitter. But nothing obvious? Maybe we could eat better. I have told him his boxers are too tight 🤣

OPKs positive yesterday but higher today. Which is annoying as I'll be ovulating maybe tomorrow? Not sure. We dtd last night. So not much in the bank now to do it again because we did it this morning too (I thought it wouldn't matter). Missed my temp this morning so that's unhelpful.

Ffs. Honestly! Why is everyone so useless? That's the one thing we managed quickly but the rest of it I hold out little hope!

@MimiArm what's going on with you now?

Juno231 · 23/09/2020 17:15

@paintfairy Oh I'd never heard of the rapid figure! Will he get a call from the docs to tell him what can be done etc?

OP posts:
paintfairy · 23/09/2020 17:47

@Juno231 I think they have passed it to me to give my dr. But you'd hope since it's him then his own might do something? I don't know. I'll see what joy I get tomorrow. If none I'll get him to call his.

MrsTwentyEight · 23/09/2020 19:00

@paintfairy that doesn’t sound bad SA wise! Hopefully the DTD yesterday and today is all it takes 🤞🏾
@MimiArm wedding inching closer!
@Juno231 how’s the 2WW going ?

I’m CD11 and focusing on DTD every few days. So far just managed CD7 and 11. Think I OV CD17 or 18...so next few days are the DTD mad days😂 Someone at work mentioned the time it takes to conceive follows our mother’s pattern (probably nonsense) so I asked my Mum and she said it took her 6 months. Well 6th cycle now. That won’t help with the whole “don’t get hopes up/ don’t get stressed if BFN” thing 😣

paintfairy · 23/09/2020 19:09

@MrsTwentyEight well my Mum was on the pill and I was an accident. So? 🤣 Brother was planned and didn't take too long. But I'm a lot older than my mum was.

MrsTwentyEight · 23/09/2020 21:59

@paintfairy I think it’s all BS! Though I’m sure genetics play a part, there’s too many variables like you say age or health etc etc I guess old wives tales are fun anyway. When is everyone testing this cycle ?

Juno231 · 24/09/2020 09:14

Ha I agree it's BS! Mum got accidentally pregnant with me and I'm pretty sure my brother was conceived with minimal effort.

@MrsTwentyEight Ideally I don't want to test at all this cycle... I'll be 11DPO on Tuesday so might cave then though! You?

OP posts:
paintfairy · 24/09/2020 10:15

I never bother testing. Waste of money. I'll be bankrupt at this rate! I've even stopped buying ubiquinol.

Juno231 · 24/09/2020 10:54

@paintfairy ha tbf I use dirt cheap ICs! I've stopped buying ubiquinol as well lol

OP posts:
paintfairy · 24/09/2020 11:16

@Juno231 I use ICs too for OPK. I do have some of the other ones left i think but they have never said yes yet. So i stopped bothering. 😂

MrsTwentyEight · 24/09/2020 12:20

I don't want to test either but I still have some CB digitals I have never used sitting around. AF should be due Oct 15/16 so I will wait and see. I'm visiting my folks a few days before then and I keep imagining how amazing it would be if I tested and got a +ve and can share the news with them etc etc Ahhhh stupid imagination wont stop even though every month I say to myself not to do this -_- De ja bloody vu....

Ofc I also worked if I did get + , due date is my hubbys bday...why why why do I do it! Ha!

@Juno231our cycles were similar now its all changed!

MimiArm · 24/09/2020 14:41

@paintfairy @Juno231 @MrsTwentyEight

Hi ladies, sorry for disappearing. Was back from holiday on Saturday and it's been all go since.

Wedding drama as invites went out, and guests can't read so I'm getting lots of "oh, it's restricted to 15 now so we're cancelling our hotel accommodation". Giving me scares as that rule only applies in England but each time I get another message I have to check if it's been extended to NI! Nightmare.

I never got a period still. This is CD47, I've had spotting right up until yesterday and RHR is back up really high again. No idea what's going on now. I've booked ultrasound in for Monday (7.15 am app - yuck) to check the old follicles. I fear I wasted my one of my two month supplies of Letrozole by taking it when spotting as it needs to be taken on CD2. Fuck. Sake.

@paintfairy SA results sound pretty good. Any update on your GP chat?

@Juno231 House move all sorted?

@MrsTwentyEight Despite our protests, we all work out due dates from time to time haha! (Or every cycle 😂)

MimiArm · 24/09/2020 14:42

Ps why does this keep putting my words in bold 😩

paintfairy · 24/09/2020 19:40

@MimiArm don't you just love wedding guests! Making up their own rules. 🤣 Honestly drives you mad. Maybe wedding stress is adding to your cycle confusion? Frustrating if you did waste drugs. Will you be able to get more?
Only the names you tagged show in bold? Nothing else.

I spoke to GP tonight. She was actually really nice so that was reassuring. She went through asking things (weight, drink etc) and said there's nothing to stop a referral. Said it was unnecessary to repeat scans being i had them last year. So she wants day 2 and 21 (or whatever it is for me) bloods doing, a chlamydia test (standard apparently but I did have one last year too when they were looking at all this) and a rubella blood test. Once its all back- she can refer me. She's getting reception to call me about tests.

She obviously asked how long we'd been trying and how often. I told her I'd used opks. She said with my age she isn't worried yet that it's not happened straight away. She agreed OHs tests weren't the end of the world and so that shouldn't really stop it. But she told me to ditch the opks and stop thinking about it. She said even if you feel you aren't stressed, you can still be affected and that we shouldn't be trying that hard. So go on date nights, focus on enjoying our relationship and stop trying. And not to worry because they'll sort tests and get it moving that end so I've no need to stress because they'll sort it and look into it. So forget everything. 🤣

So maybe I need to stop using the apps! Although I need to know where I am for blood tests really anyway.

MimiArm · 24/09/2020 20:09

@paintfairy Probably is all the wedding stress. Work is also really stressful lately.

That's great you got to chat to GP. I had all those tests too so they are all standard for checking things. My GP said the exact same - to ditch OPKs completely and listen to your body. Maybe there is good advice in there and we should all follow it!!

Ps - it all looks bold on my phone app weirdly.

MimiArm · 24/09/2020 20:11

@paintfairy oh, and I don't know if I can get more. They were pushing for IVF (for no good reason other than money).

I've kept another appointment I had made with another clinic on 10 October so I can get more tablets from them going forward .

paintfairy · 27/09/2020 10:39

I've booked bloods. Reception woman was hilarious. Worrying these people get jobs. I've booked my progesterone one for next Thursday but I've no idea when I ovulated. And If AF ends up late I'll miss the day 2 one as we'll then be away. So here's hoping not.
I reckon it was wed or Thurs. But I've not been able to get a proper temp until yesterday and it was quite high. Which tells me it was not fri. I've been spotting since Thursday though! Which is really annoying. Clearly going to be a bad month for me in that respect as it was still happening this morning. I've not had it straight after O for a while (wonder if the soya did help then?). Joy.

MimiArm · 27/09/2020 18:39

@paintfairy Good job on getting bloods scheduled for this cycle. Hope you're able to estimate proper day for day21 and AF isn't late for CD2 one.

I think I'm ovulating. Got static smiley on OPK last night and DTD yesterday morning and this afternoon. Stomach is cramping bad and had a slight bit of blood yesterday.

Have internal ultrasound at 7.15 am tomorrow so I guess that should confirm if i ovulated/am about to. It's been 9 days since I took the tablets. Haven't had cramps like this before when I thought I was ovulating.

Juno231 · 28/09/2020 11:57

@paintfairy fingers crossed for those tests! Sorry to hear about your earlier than usual spotting though :(

@MimiArm omg that's exciting! Have you managed to BD enough?

I'm 10DPO today and caved in with an IC this morning - BFN. I did however have a big nose bleed this morning which is my first time ever. It can be an early pregnancy sign apparently so I can't help but get my hopes up a little bit even though I'm sure it's just my body trolling me.

@MrsTwentyEight what's the latest from you? x

OP posts:
MrsTwentyEight · 28/09/2020 12:56

@MimiArm ahh fingers crossed! At the same time, I’m worried about your random nose bleed if it’s not a symptom! 😕 But hope it is!!

CD16 today and we DTD so far only on 7,11 and 16...I think I OV in a few days...trying to stay optimistic. Regular DTD plan hasn't exactly happened :(

MimiArm · 28/09/2020 14:15

@Juno231Oh, that sounds interesting re your nose bleed. 10DPO is still very early to test so fingers and toes crossed!!

Thanks @MrsTwentyEight . It was @Juno231 who had the nosebleed though.

Had my scan this morning and they did a progesterone test too. Just called me with result of that, and scan, and I haven't ovulated 😩 Follicle on right side only 12mm and for ovulation to happen, would need to be 16/17mm. So, as usual, positive OPK 2 days ago meant nothing.

Apparently my lining is thick at the minute (14mm) and Dr did a PG test but negative (of course since no eggs releasing).

I've to wait 2 weeks to see if I get a period (currently CD51) and call them back.

They might explore increasing medicine as the Letrozole hasn't worked. Talked about increased Letrozole, or perhaps Clomid, along with trigger shot.

So bummed - yet another wait ...

MrsTwentyEight · 28/09/2020 14:49

Oh gosh I'm so sorry I tagged the wrong person!!! @MimiArm @Juno231

So sorry to hear @mimiarm but atleast you're able to get some answers and this will lead to solutions!

Juno231 · 28/09/2020 14:54

@MimiArm wow that's fairly thick esp considering you haven't ovulated. Does that mean anything in itself? I'm sorry it was only a 12mm follicle though :( Jesus didn't realise you were CD51 already! I'm glad they've given you a set date to call back though so you don't just have to wait for AF to show in maybe another month's time...

I'm checking my nhs app daily atm for news on my pap smear btw and it's driving me nuts not having an answer.
