Juno231 · 14/09/2020 14:06

@MimiArm holy cow any updates?

Sorry to hear AF got you @paintfairy and @MrsTwentyEight . I'm on cycle 9 now if that helps you remember your cycle lol paintfairy.

Just back from hols so apologies for being so quiet the past week!
CD10 today so time for BD to start. Today I got OH to request a GP app for his SA test as well :)

@Juno231 Ah, where was your holiday? Did you have a good time?

We are on holiday this week, by the sea in a fab house with the dogs. AF is deffo coming now. I've got really sore cramps all day today and RHR dropped by 3 overnight so I'll expect AF tomorrow. I can take the Letrozole the day after then 😁 I reckon AF has been so delayed cos I've been so stressed the past few weeks.

Juno231 · 14/09/2020 22:34

@MimiArm Sicily! It was fab but I definitely need a diet now after drinking them dry and eating all their past/pizza 🤪. I'm sorry this cycle has been so shit for you - I'm really excited to see how the Letrozole works out though!!

Juno231 · 15/09/2020 10:31

So I'm on day 2 of high temps... if tomorrow is the same that means I ovulated on CD10?! I have no clue what's going on. If it's true then we haven't DTD enough (O-3 and O-5) and I guess the egg would be rubbish anyway...

OP posts:
MimiArm · 15/09/2020 12:48

@Juno231 Oh, Sicily - how lovely! Have you got post holiday blues?

No AF for me today as I predicted and RHR has went back up a bit today. CD39 here now and still tummy cramps 🙈🙈🙈

I've never temped before so can't offer any advice on that score.

Juno231 · 15/09/2020 13:52

@MimiArm haha I'd be beyond thrilled if after all this you managed to get knocked up!

OP posts:
paintfairy · 15/09/2020 19:52

@MimiArm when they said you weren't ovulating- could it have been they looked at the wrong time? I still think you are. As for this cycle- I had a funny one back when lockdown began. 42 days. Usually mine are 26-27 days. It gets frustrating though when you just don't know what is going on! I hope it doesn't last much longer for you. Cottage sounds lovely.

@Juno231 I've always wanted to go to Italy!
I ovulate often day 11 and I always think that about the egg? That's why i started taking the soya isoflavones to see if it made it any better. Clearly not mind. 🤣 Of course I'm still assuming the issue is me.

Today DH dropped off his SA. He said he was disappointed it looked watery. I said maybe it does in a pot? Have you ever potted it before? He said no. 🤣 It made me laugh though. I said we needed to leave 30 mins before app. I walked in the house 2 mins before this (with dog) and i was then ready to go straight back out. I said- all sorted? He said no. I was like why? He said I was leaving it until the last minute. I said it's now 1 minute before we even need to leave! So he dashed upstairs 🙄 Luckily appeared like 60 seconds later. I was amazed by the speed! 🤣🤣🤣

Juno231 · 18/09/2020 10:33

@MimiArm what happened in the end?
@paintfairy 60 seconds?! haha that's brilliant. When will you hear back?

So my temps have been really weird all week but yday I had a big glob of EWCM and immediately jumped OH just in case. Today I got a peak OPK! Woop! Will try and score tonight and tomorrow to cover our bases and then he's free until next cycle lol.

I'm super stressed with work and life atm btw. We found a tenant for our flat just this Tuesday after Sicily (in itself a nightmare to do viewings on top of work and just after hols). He wants to move in 1st of Oct so we have 2 weeks to pack up our lives and move out. Also managed to exchange on the house this week! Only been trying to buy the bloody thing since early March lol. Looooots of admin and packing atm basically...

@MrsTwentyEight what CD are you now?

OP posts:
paintfairy · 18/09/2020 10:39

@Juno231 moving is horrendous. Very stressful.

They said a week ish to hear. He's speaking to his Dr Monday (blood health test result) so he can ask then if it's back. I'm wondering if we should be dtd less? The SA says 2-7 days. I made him do 2.5 because that's really how we've been timing it and so that's a good thing to know. No point it being great at 5 days and us doing it every 2 and not knowing it's rubbish at that point. So i wonder if we should let it build more this month but it means trying to time it better is all. Out of ideas then. 😂

Juno231 · 18/09/2020 11:07

@paintfairy one of the ladies on my bus had her OH's SA come back with a low count so they've been told to only DTD twice essentially around ovulation - that was an eye opener for me as I hadn't considered that tactic!

Another stressful thing about moving is that OH got the ball rolling on an SA on Monday but nothing has happened so far. He chased yday and they said he'd receive a form and parcel at home but it's Friday and nothing yet. Don't have all that much time left at this address!

OP posts:
paintfairy · 18/09/2020 11:12

@Juno231 funny how its all different. My OH had to just collect it from the surgery. Then call hospital to book. I'm STILL waiting to speak to GP.

Yeah i had read that dtd every day is OK. But if low count then every other day is better than every day. It made me wonder if that could even be too often and an extra day off would be better. We've done every other day and even more often at times. But never less. So you do wonder? Obviously if its low whatever then nothing will help. But I thought it was best to test with what we usually do - to at least give us a clear idea? We'll know soon so then we can at least formulate a plan I hope. If my gp is willing. If its him I've no idea if his could push it instead.

MrsTwentyEight · 19/09/2020 09:43

Hey everyone
@Juno231 I’m CD 7 currently. I’m doing this detox diet plan this week and next so I have a feeling it will throw my hormones about ....So for once I’m going to pretend we are not trying this month🤷🏾‍♀️ Think I’ll DTD when it feels right every few days and hope for the best.
When did you ladies start considering SA etc? I’m coming upto 6th cycle and I wasn’t going to go to the GP until after a year 🤭 But now I’m thinking should go sooner?

paintfairy · 19/09/2020 13:59

@MrsTwentyEight I think the GP will entertain you if it's been 6 months and you are over 35. Otherwise I think it's a year.

We started properly in December. With tracking etc. But there were times it could have happened before that. We are both old though too, so whether it'll even happen, who knows. Clearly there's some reason or another that it's not doing.

CD 8 for me. So fertile week. We dtd Thursday and I'm going to try and time it so we don't do it too much this time. If we don't do it today then, either way, he's on hold until Tuesday. 🤣 I do have the issue that he has a fairly high drive so I have to fend him off.

Juno231 · 19/09/2020 14:58

@MrsTwentyEight I got the ball rolling earlier as I have family history of early menopause which was freaking me out. Otherwise they make you wait a year unless you're over 35 or have medical concerns like PCOS or something.

Having said that, people definitely go in saying they've been TTC for a year when they haven't, it's not as if they can check 🤷‍♀️

OP posts:
MrsTwentyEight · 19/09/2020 15:21

Ahh I see
Thanks ladies!
I’m 29 in January so i don’t think they’ll even bother giving me an appointment at this stage ...
I’ll wait it out I suppose
@paintfairy don’t say that :( I really hope it happens for you soon. A friend of mine went through IVF in her early 40s and then later fell pregnant naturally...it’s all possible :)
@Juno231 I see why you would but I am sure there is nothing to worry about!

I think I’m cd8 like you @paintfairy but I didn’t count the first day of cycle as it was just spotting....it’s proper full flow when you’re supposed to count right ?

paintfairy · 19/09/2020 16:03

@MrsTwentyEight yes. I have spotting several days before. But the first proper day I get cramps and I know its coming properly. And it does, without fail!
That's good about your friend. Fingers crossed I guess!

And @Juno231 I'm going to say a year, even though it isn't quite. Because I don't want them having any excuse.

Juno231 · 19/09/2020 22:05

@paintfairy 100% go for it. I think in the states cause it's private health care a lot of women start getting help after 6 months and it makes sense to me not to dilly dally for the sake of it. I was hesitant to start looking in to it too early but then I'd remind myself that there's no harm in it and if I'd waited only to find out there was a problem I'd be kicking myself so hard. Then again I've been wanting kids for years so am feeling very impatient by now.

My big fear now as well is eg taking 13 months to conceive only to have an MMC and have to spend another year TTC after that 😔

OP posts:
paintfairy · 20/09/2020 09:03

@Juno231 yes I know what you mean. If it finally happens for us then it goes wrong and you have to start again, that's disastrous if it's taken so long in the first place. I'm trying not to think about that.

I was late taking my temp today (and didn't sleep at some point in the night) but it was high. So I'm hoping its wrong. But yesterday I didn't take it as I forgot, and also had a tiny bit of spotting which was odd for me. I'm only day 9 today so it shouldn't have happened yet! We dtd Thursday mind so I'm covered in that sense.

Juno231 · 20/09/2020 09:20

@paintfairy I had the same this cycle - my higher temps started early, indicating a CD10 ovulation. Had my actual ovulation on CD15 though I think and am now my second day of a proper rise and there's no mistaking it this time!

@paintfairy @Juno231 @MrsTwentyEight

Hey all - we are back from our holidays. It was lovely and sad it's over but back into wedding mode now.

I have no idea where I'm at. It's CD44. On CD40 I had one tiny clot when I wiped. On CD41 we DTD and DP said there was a bit of blood after and when I wiped for next 13 hours or so there was the slightest of staining. Same again on CD42. I took the tablets on evening of CD42 because I didn't know if it was actually CD2 and AF this month is/was just pretty much nothing. Nothing since, BFN on test and nothing on ovulation test either. So I fear I've wasted this months tablets as you need to take them on CD2. Wtf?!

@Juno231 Good luck with the house move and hope the SA form arrived/arrives.

@paintfairy When do you get SA results back? Any day now? Can't believe you e still not been able to speak to GP. Shocking!

@MrsTwentyEight No harm in speaking to GP sooner rather than later. I'm 39 so I went to GP at the 6 month mark and started TTC in December last year.

paintfairy · 20/09/2020 20:50

@Juno231 hopefully it'll be lower tomorrow. Opk negative. I would expect to ovulate Tuesday or Wednesday so fingers crossed.

@MimiArm how odd? And frustrating!
OH is speaking to Dr tomorrow about something else. So he can ask if SA is back. They said a week or so, so technically that's Tuesday onwards. But I'm not sure when he'd be able to talk to her. Hopefully he won't have to wait an age like me! Mine is Thursday.

Juno231 · 21/09/2020 08:49

@MimiArm ah that's so frustrating! I really hope AF kicks in ASAP for you so it stops messing with your head.

@paintfairy did it drop back down today?

3DPO today and I got a lovely pap smear booked in lol. I've had bad results on this in the past so am a bit nervous.

OP posts:
paintfairy · 21/09/2020 09:28

@Juno231 yes thank god! 🤣 36.31 today.

Oh I hate them anyway. Always live in dread the results will be bad, and I've never had it happen. So I can imagine you are nervous! I've had my results back and they are ok though. Fingers crossed for you xx

paintfairy · 22/09/2020 19:13

omg. So we can finally dtd today (I reckon I'll ovulate tomorrow). But I swear to god I'm so desperate for it, its a killer. 🤣 I can thoroughly recommend banning it to reinstate your interest.

Usually I find it a chore (not if it's random but the ttc thing) some days. I dont mind but every other day sometimes comes too often when you are busy. I'm actually looking forward to it! Woop. 🤣
