@Juno231 oh god. I can't imagine telling my DH to put cream on. 🤣 He's not been near me though. And no, it's just time wasting if you ask me.

Juno231 · 09/06/2021 09:38

@paintfairy ha he's not best pleased and keeps complaining that he feels "creamy" lol

@MimiArm did you manage to get the blood tests done? What's the next step/timeline?

OP posts:
MimiArm · 15/06/2021 13:04

@Juno231 Hey Smile I got blood tests done last week but waiting on results which should be back by Friday of this week. They also checked urine there and then and it showed protein in the urine indicating blood.

I actually emailed the private clinic last night as I'm now on CD22 and have been bleeding heavily for 9 days straight, which has never happened before. I soaked through 3 pads and onto my underwear three times yesterday evening in literally an hour and half!! I've no cramps and I otherwise feel fine ?? I've been temping this month and temperature is high still, RHR is still high too so I don't think this is an extra long early period. Anywho, I've asked on what to do as I'm concerned and now convinced that this is miscarriage related.

DH and I have decided to proceed with IVF once I've had the HyFoSy and given the all clear. There's no wait list so literally just as soon as tests are done we will begin.

Hoping to hear back today with appointment for the scan / advice on the bleeding.

What's going on with you?

Juno231 · 15/06/2021 15:17

@MimiArm oh my goodness! That doesn't sound great does it - I hope it's nothing sinister and they sort you out asap. Do you have any problems with your kidneys at all - that's what I thought protein in your urine indicated.

I've got my fertility appt on Thurs, presumably to get the ball rolling on the funding application. I'm in an awkward position now though as I suspect I'll be getting a really good job offer this week so might have to put TTC on pause until the end of the year (3 month notice period + potentially 3 months into the next job before I'd be entitled to additional mat pay).

OP posts:
MimiArm · 15/06/2021 15:59

@Juno231 No, no problems with kidneys and the nurse didn't mention anything other than the suggestion of blood. I thought it was probably just because I'm bleeding and pee caught some coming out! It's a disaster whatever is going on.

Oh gosh - I am (sort of) in a similar predicament and have the same notice period as you. It's such a pain isn't it! Not fair that as women, we have to hold off on things like this because of maternity pay!!

Juno231 · 15/06/2021 16:23

@MimiArm agreed! I'm even contemplating foregoing the mat pay but I can't afford to start the new job already pregnant as there's no way I'd pass probation then :/ You're right about the wee/foof blood combo, let's hope it's "just" that.

OP posts:
MimiArm · 15/06/2021 17:15

@Juno231 "wee/foof" proper made me burst out laughing there! I needed that giggle today so thanks haha!

I suppose it depends on how good the maternity pay would be. For me. It's 6 months full pay where I am now so I just couldn't give that up. Nothing like being chained to your job!

MrsTwentyNine · 15/06/2021 18:51

Hi ladies
Sorry I haven't read everything
We DTD once this month as I gave up and I'm 11DPO
I have no clue if this frikking nightmare is about to repeat itself like last month but I have a positive on a digital today saying "pregnant 1-2"
And I'm so calm that I'm scaring myself ...
I'm really sorry I will read everything properly. I was trying to not worry about TTC this month and check threads ...
I'm so sorry that I'm telling you this when we have all been on this journey together so far
I'm under no illusion that this is a viable pregnancy or if I EVEN AM...
It could all go wrong any minute and I'm being a solid pessimist currently after last month

MrsTwentyNine · 15/06/2021 20:09

Disbelief ...

MimiArm · 15/06/2021 22:25

@MrsTwentyNine Aw, that is wonderful news for you. Congratulations! It looks to me like you have good cause to be confident that this is real! When I was about 11 DPO I remember having a 1-2 weeks on Clearblue digital so if you did a normal test I would expect a visible second line (for me, the normal tests were still not really strong, but still clear to see).

It's so true what they say, however cliche, that when you least expect it, that's when it happens 🥰

Please try to relax and enjoy this moment and try not to be pessimistic. You can't control things so allow yourself to be happy and excited!

MrsTwentyNine · 16/06/2021 04:29

Aww thank you @MimiArm

I have a temp drop this morning (don't know why I'm still wearing my Ava!) - really praying this isn't a CP Sad

I'll keep you ladies posted of course x

MimiArm · 16/06/2021 07:39

@MrsTwentyNine Stay calm, and put the Ava back in its box. As far as I know, temp and RHR can fluctuate once implantation has occurred xx

Juno231 · 16/06/2021 10:06

@MrsTwentyNine there's lots of temp fluctuation on bfp charts! Congratulations and let's hope this one sticks

PS paintfairy has broken her right wrist so is struggling keeping up with MN atm!

@MrsTwentyNine still can't believe the happy news! what a great father's day present for OH Grin how did he take the news? how did you tell him?

OP posts:
MrsTwentyNine · 16/06/2021 17:06

Thank you so much @Juno231 and @MimiArm

It feels surreal especially after my false positive
I'll put the Ava back like @MimiArm said!!

Haha he is in shock himself. I sort of blurted it out as soon as I saw it! He was in shock.
Funnily , I didn't have any PG tests apart from the stupidly expensive digis so I actually peed on a CB dig OPK and it had a smiley face - making me think wtf! That's why I tested at 11DPO ... (and not a day sooner!)

MimiArm · 17/06/2021 17:33

@MrsTwentyNine Hopefully your news has sunk in a little bit more now? 😁

@paintfairy - oh no. If you read this, hope you're ok. Thanks @Juno231 for keeping us updated!

Juno231 · 17/06/2021 19:34

Had my fertility appointment today and it was fairly useless. Doc was over an hour late despite it being a 9am call and only updated me on the laparoscopy surgery, even though there was no new info to share on that.

In the end I managed to push her to send off a referral for funding application for me but sounds like this could take until the end of the year to get ivf started.

I'll see if I get that job offer cause then the wait is sensible - but if not then OH thinks we should just go for private.

OP posts:
MimiArm · 21/06/2021 15:50

@Juno231 That all sounds a bit "meh". When do you think you will know about job?

I'm still bleeding away over here. Seems to have eased a bit since yesterday but today I've pretty sore cramps. At the GP surgery tomorrow for the swab test so will raise it again 🙄

Juno231 · 21/06/2021 17:23

@MimiArm still bleeding?? I hope the GP actually has something useful to say about it...

Got the offer on Friday! Just trying to negotiate it to a bit higher before accepting it.

OP posts:
MimiArm · 21/06/2021 17:50

@Juno231 Ah, congrats on the job offer! Does this mean you're now putting a pause on TTC?

I rang the private clinic last week about the bleeding. They said it was a cause for concern and told me to ring EPU. Rang EPU, they almost made a mockery out of me phoning them and informed me they "are a gynae clinic". So yes, hopefully GP will actually listen to me!

Juno231 · 22/06/2021 09:20

@MimiArm whyyyyyy is it so hard to get good care?? I'm extra angry this morning (lol!) as my brother is in pain and has been dismissed by a doctor just this morning. Did you tell EPU you're concerned it could be related to the MC? Bumholes.

And yes, I think that means pausing TTC :( It feels weird and wrong after so long but I keep having to remind myself I still have some time on my side. I have to wait for IVF anyway so...

OP posts:
MimiArm · 22/06/2021 09:41

@Juno231 Yes, I told them that the private consultant thinks it might be retained tissue and they just cut me off and told me to go to private clinic or GP. It is maddening. I really hope this female locum doctor I'm seeing this morning is good and listens to what I'm telling her. Bleeding is now brown but still biggish clots coming out. So fed up now.

You deffo still have time on your side. Maybe the change in job will jumpstart something (as Sod's law would have it, I would bet that if you continued TTC now, this would be the time when you get preggars - when the timing isn't the best!)

I'm trying to prepare for another pregnancy. My weight has ballooned over this past 6 months. I've went from a size 14 petite to a full size 16 since January, and I'm only 5 foot tall. My BMI is now 33 I think. I really don't know how this has happened as I'm literally not over eating and still walking the dogs daily for a good length of time and a good (uphill) pace? My blood tests all came back and I've high cholesterol, high blood pressure, high haemoglobin and a raised liver reading. Nurse kept saying I'm eating too much sugar but I actually don't! I don't eat many biscuits or cakes, no fizzy drinks, not a lot of bread, no cereals or sauces where it's hidden, so I'm at a loss. It's making me think the potential PCOS could be real since it's insulin related but don't even know if that can cause rapid weight gain and these results? My blood sugar, female hormone, thyroid and kidney results were all normal.

Anyways, I've joined slimming world online on Sunday and am on day 3 as I need to get back to a 12 top and 14 petite bottoms pronto!!

Juno231 · 22/06/2021 10:10

@MimiArm oh that's odd! I'd wonder if it was PCOS related insulin resistance as well. If so then a low GI diet is apparently the way forward? Or low carb in general I guess. It could also be your thyroid? Did they test TSH? Sorry for the million question marks... I know what you mean about sod's law btw, I was convinced I'd get my BFP this cycle out of spite but I'm 11DPO today and spotting so I doubt it!

Maybe I should take the opportunity to get into shape in time for IVF now that things are delayed... I used to be an 8-10 and am firmly in size 12 territory now so would love to get back in shape and not feel awful because most of my wardrobe doesn't fit me anymore. I keep saying this though and never doing anything about it!

OP posts:
MimiArm · 22/06/2021 10:17

@Juno231 Yes, checked thyroid and all fine. The last time I was a size 8-10 was when I was a teenager haha. Whilst I was 12/14 and I'm short, I somehow still looked pretty slim so I'm more than happy to be that size again. Nothing fits me and I feel so uncomfortable all the time. I hate being this size, I really hate it.

I'd say you'll probably be pregnant the month you start your new job haha! For sure, if you have time to kill then it wouldn't hurt to watch what you eat/drink and exercise more. I'd still assume you're in pretty good shape or you're a 12!
