How is everyone? Only just entering FW on my 43 day cycle again post Covid ...
Hope you're all keeping sane...
There is an end date to this lockdown madness! 🤞🏽

paintfairy · 28/02/2021 12:56

@MrsTwentyNine that's a long cycle! But hopefully you are getting there now. Fingers crossed.
I'm OK. Ovulating about now I would guess and cm backs that up. Got my scan tomorrow and should get SA results too. So we shall see what happens!

Juno231 · 28/02/2021 13:09

@MrsTwentyEight yikes being ill /the vaccine really messed that cycle up didn't it! I just had a blazing peak on my opk so think I'm ovulating today at CD12 which is a bit early for me.

Had my HSG on Fri, dtd yesterday and OH has his repeat SA booked for this coming Friday so the stars have aligned and all the timings are spot on this cycle!

MrsTwentyNine · 28/02/2021 13:20

@paintfairy @Juno231 oh wow for once we are all in the FW together! 💃🏽

@Juno231 that's really good!! Finally! Haha yep having the vaccine and getting the fever again didn't help either

I'm CD25 here and I think OV will be around CD27/28...

paintfairy · 28/02/2021 13:27

Fingers crossed for a magic month! 🤣
Although I won't hold my breath.

Juno231 · 01/03/2021 09:31

@paintfairy best of luck today!

Looks like I'm 1DPO today :) Stupid HSG has made me the most hopeful I've been in ages!

OP posts:
paintfairy · 01/03/2021 11:39

@Juno231 yeah I think I would be too! I know they say it changes nothing but I've known quite a few people manage it after that? So there must be some truth in it?
Thanks! Its not until 3.40pm, so got forever to wait!

Juno231 · 01/03/2021 12:25

@paintfairy I keep seeing both! Seen lots saying that fertility rates go up 25% after an HSG so I'm clinging on to that.

OP posts:
paintfairy · 01/03/2021 12:54

@Juno231 definitely makes sense. Old pipes and all that. 🤣

paintfairy · 01/03/2021 17:29

Ok, i've had my appointment.
I started spotting today. This tells me (so I assumed) I've ovulated and I would put it at yesterday. So it was interesting to go today. Scan lady was nice. Although- she asked me if I needed to empty my bladder. I purposely hadn't drank much and went before leaving the house, as I know I'm terrible. So I said no. And then when she started (by which point I felt like I needed a wee) she said it was full! (I went to the toilet in leaving the hospital though and it wasn't that full at all? I went but it wasn't loads and loads? Who knows!).
Anyway- she said everything looked OK and she could tell I had ovulated from my right ovary (today is CD13) and she asked if my cycle was regular and where I was at. She wrote the report there and then. I had to just go back in the waiting room. Then I was called in to see the fertility nurse. She checked my height and weight (good job i had been exercising! My form was all lies)! 🤣 and my bmi is OK at 26.9. She confirmed my scan was OK and everything looks fine in that respect. There was fluid but that's consist with ovulation apparently? I told her I'd started spotting today. She's actually given me some progesterone pessaries to try for the rest of this month (good scan timing)! To see how I respond to them, as it'll be a good trial. She said you can get them on prescription but as they are expensive they don't like them being given out. I didn't have to pay today. And if she's right I might even end up pregnant this month (god, wish I'd put more effort in dtd!). They might delay my period though but I'm to do a test in 2 weeks, because if I am pregnant she wouldn't want me to stop them, I'd need to carry on. If I'm not then I can stop them and wait for AF. When AF comes I'm to call up and book in for a HSG and not have unprotected sex. On that day DH would have to come with me and they'll go through all the consent forms (need ID) and get all the paperwork done at the same time. And we could actually start the IUI next cycle (assuming tubes ok). That seems fast and very scary!
DH is like- do we not want to try ourselves and see if the tube check just works? And I'm tempted to ask them that. If we can use the progesterone (even if it means paying) and try for a month or 2 on our own first, following HSG. Because in theory there's no reason we shouldn't be managing this for ourselves.
His test wash for SA was fine. They need 5 million but really they like to have 8 million in case. He's got 15 million. I asked about the other issues and actually everything was normal on this one! His motility was 35% (25% last time). She asked was it cold last time but they did take an hour to do it and I think it was less this time. So that's good news. Maybe a one off (who knows) but its not so dire its a problem, clearly.
So yeah, still moving forwards.

paintfairy · 07/03/2021 13:37

How is everyone? @MimiArm how are you? Are you ok?

Not much to report here. 7dpo. So eagerly awaiting the next week to see if i spot or not.

MimiArm · 08/03/2021 13:00

Hi @paintfairy

I'm ok thanks. Still in no mans land with no sign of a period and still showing faint positive on pregnancy test, which is frustrating.

I miscarried naturally mid way through the week after I found out. It was very painful ... full on contractions and a lot of blood, clots and tissue. Horrible.

I wish a period would come so I can start Clomid again. But until hcg falls to zero, that won't happen I think. We've found another clinic that do ovulation induction via injections and then trigger shot. They also give progesterone to take after ovulation. It's £800 a month though, but cheaper than IVF.

It's frustrating because every person says "but you'll get pregnant again", and no one grasps that I have three cycles worth of Clomid left. I can't get pregnant without an egg!

Anyways - this all sounds very positive for you! I can't believe how quickly you were seen since your GP blood tests and more tests already carried out! I was referred here as an urgent case pretty much 8 months ago and nada. Even that you've been given progesterone is massive - that can really help. I'm still struggling to find someone to prescribe me that after spending all that we have privately so far!

Do you feel more positive now?

paintfairy · 08/03/2021 13:23

@MimiArm that sounds awful. Not a nice thing to have to go through at all. 😔 Very frustrating about AF too.
I think it happened pretty quickly with clomid before, so no reason it won't again. That would be the ideal. But i know you can only take clomid for so long, which then obviously means you'd have to do something else. Either the assisted thing or even IUI. But odds are that you will if you keep going! Because you've already proved you can. Unlike some of us here. 🤣

I think I will feel more positive if the progesterone works because it'll provide a reason and might be the solution. If it doesn't then I'll be interested to see the HSG results. And if that's OK I think I'll be back to wondering why the hell it isn't working.

MimiArm · 08/03/2021 14:08

@paintfairy I thing the progesterone will definitely help you. Interesting to see if your spotting is kept at bay with it - fingers crossed for you. I think it will be the key for you.

We are moving house anyways in the next few weeks. Just waiting on the completion date being set. So I suppose being in limbo right now isn't such a bad thing (or so I keep telling myself).

Juno231 · 08/03/2021 14:26

@mimiarm I can't believe you're still stuck in limbo, I'm so sorry. The miscarriage itself sounds horrendous as well. Like paintfairy said, it's good to know that when you do produce an egg you get pregnant quickly so hopefully you can get back on it asap.

@MrsTwentyNine how are you?

I'm cycle buddies with paintfairy this time and am 8DPO today. Nothing to report though, doubt this cycle will end any differently from the previous ones!

OP posts:
MrsTwentyNine · 08/03/2021 17:31

@MimiArm I'm so sorry you went through that :( But yes, like @paintfairy said, there is no reason it won't happen again soon but I can understand your frustration.

@paintfairy I thought I had replied previously after you told us everything wanting to say thanks for explaining as I now know so much more about fertility related tests thanks to that! I hope this is it and I'm so happy you're feeling optimistic...I am too for you!!

@Juno231 same goes for you!! I hope this is the month for you too. Let the cycle buddiness be a good luck charm 🙂

I am on a weird cycle after Covid vaccine. The weirdest I've ever had. I had no smiley face until about CD25 from which point onwards it was consistently flashing smilies for an entire week and then AF shows up yesterday!! Wtf! Which means I must have ov-ed around CD18 when I had a blank CB digital...this cycle has been a write off too. So thanks to Covid and then vaccine, I haven't been able to TTC since December 😞 Essentially only TTC-ed 6 months which makes me hesitant to get any tests done, but I may as well!

Juno231 · 08/03/2021 17:51

@MrsTwentyNine oh that is weird! May be an anovulatory cycle tbh? Sorry you're on to another cycle though :(

BTW all my tests have been done and I had to argue to get my follow up appointment brought forward as they'd scheduled it for July! Just a casual 5 month wait to hear the results of eg my blood tests taken 3 weeks ago 🤯. So on that basis I say get the ball rolling as I'm sure you'll be 12 actual cycles of TTC by the time they see you 🙊

OP posts:
paintfairy · 08/03/2021 18:05

@MimiArm good luck with the move!
@MrsTwentyNine 🤣🤣🤣 me and @Juno231 together a good luck charm? That would be hilarious.
How annoying about your cycle but many people seem to have said the same. The vaccine has delayed their cycle. So it's not just you. Maybe wait until its normal and give it a cycle or 2 and then ask for tests? They are slow, as @Juno231 says and they won't prioritise you with your age. So the sooner you get in the system the better maybe?

Juno231 · 09/03/2021 09:29

@paintfairy any spotting? I'm so intrigued to see how you respond to the progesterone!

OP posts:
paintfairy · 09/03/2021 10:24

@Juno231 I am too! No none yet. By my calculations it would start Thursday. That's kind of its normal pattern (however some months it's before). TMI but usually when I am (sometimes it's only a bit at the beginning, and nothing to see really) I can smell it? So i know its happening. But I've not had that either. I'm really hoping this works but I'm trying not to be too hopeful, because I think I'll be really disappointed if it doesn't work! I keep feeling a bit hot but it comes in waves. Same with feeling slightly sick. But that's it so far. So if it does work then at least I'm not getting horrific side effects and it should be bearable to use going forwards.

Juno231 · 09/03/2021 11:03

@paintfairy got my fingers crossed for you! So I got hold of the SA results from October and they're called round cells on the form. It's supposed to be at less than 1 per whatever but OH had 14!

OP posts:
paintfairy · 09/03/2021 12:23

@Juno231 this was all ours had. Is anything consistent? 😆

Feb Bus Pt 3
MrsTwentyNine · 14/03/2021 09:17

How's everyone ?
AF done and onto new cycle for me sigh
@paintfairy any spotting ?
@Juno231 symptoms ?

paintfairy · 14/03/2021 09:24

@MrsTwentyNine hey! I'm 14dpo today. I had a tiny bit of spotting last night. Like once. I still used the progesterone but won't from now. So it'll be interesting to see if i get any later or if AF is delayed. Really I'd expect it tomorrow. BFN on a test.
Onto cycle a billion and one. 🙄

MimiArm · 15/03/2021 16:17

@paintfairy - still no AF today?

My pregnancy tests are finally negative since the past few days. I have loads of EWCM over the weekend and from lunchtime yesterday, boobs are very sore. So it seems like my body either attempted to ovulate (as no Clomid yet), or perhaps did ovulate (if miracles do happen) I would say probably on Saturday.

At least my body is trying to get back to normal now so AF should, in theory, be here in the next two weeks and I can start Clomid again. It feels strange having sore heavy boobs again - just reminds me of how I felt when pregnant 😞
