Hi kensgirl! 10 out of 10 for effort this month!!

Ready · 03/10/2007 22:33

kensgirl - SOOOOOO pleased you are back. And sounds promising... loving the term "the wild thing" - please may I borrow it
My fingers and toes and everything are crossed for you this month. None of us deserve to be old-timers do we.

toomuch - You were totally in with the spirit of my dream shopping. Even I wouldn't have all expensive babygros

sybil - I am pleased that you liked the fantasy shopping

nomore - I had another wine out with the ladies this evening. Haven't this set of friends for a while and it was really good. Just what I needed to cheer me up

I have a couple more fantasy shopping items, but scared to share them now

Ready · 03/10/2007 22:34

mistlethrush · 04/10/2007 09:56

I didn't mean to pour cold water on fantasy shopping!! Sorry!!!!

However, if you keep a look out you can really find some quite cute vests in Sainsburys and Tesco sometimes (really!) - sometimes they are not attractive, so you have to wait for the next batch of patterns to come in. A bit of practicality though, even if you really like one pattern probably best not to get consecutive sizes. Otherwise, when you have just started dc into the larger size but are still trying to work your way through the piles of washing, dh will take the opportunity to (surprisingly) dress dc or change and redress dc and find next vest on pile which happens to be the smaller size and therefore constrict nappy space and hardly do up - then, of course, this ends up in the washing to give him the chance to pick this one vest that is too small to put on next time (and so on.....) If you have different patterns it is easier to point out that you've changed the size.

I've been smug most mornings this week. Normally dh gets to have a gentle start to the day as his job is to walk the dog while I get myself and ds up and breakfasted. However, TW and today, ds has specifically asked for dh to get him I while I walk the dog. This morning we had the full histrionics - wanted to wear pj bottoms, not trousers, wanted to watch BBies, didn't want socks on, didn't want to clean his teeth.... Meanwhile, I went out for a nice walk and said hello to some other dog walkers we regularly meet on the field.

mistlethrush · 04/10/2007 09:57

BTW - Hi Kensgirl - nice to see you back!

Fi - we can't try the website unless you give us a clue - please!

toomuchtimeonline · 04/10/2007 10:25

Morning MT! Your dogwalking sounds like a nice relaxing way to start the day

Don't worry fantasy shopping is clearly fantasy shopping!! We need all your hints and tips for real shopping once we get our BFPs - I can sense that you have lived the nightmare that is too small babygrows circulating through the washing pile

Ready · 04/10/2007 11:13

Ok toomuch - you asked for it, but MT isn't going to approve , it's ok MT I was just being sensitive yesterday, I understand what you are saying, I just don't want to "dream" of sensible items

cute!

Oh toomuch I love that!!!! sorry for introducing you to the naughty stuff I can't help myself

Gilly - I can well imagine it is syrupy stuff, we don't realise this as children ourselves I stayed with friends, and their DD was addicted to Peppa Pig and we must have watched the same episode 10 times in a weekend

How about this for a rockette

toomuchtimeonline · 04/10/2007 11:49

Do you think they'd do that in my size it looks quite comfy for bed

toomuchtimeonline · 04/10/2007 11:50

p.s. I was a deprived child obviously as I've never heard of stawberry shortcake.
