TTC - Aug testers

Hello!!

Thought I’d start a group for all you ladies that are currently trying or have recently been trying in the hope to test early August.

Would be good to have the support during and give each other advice and positivity!

I’m on my 2nd month TTC and had my peak days on 19th/20th July. Earliest I can test is 31st. AF due 5th.

This has been my second month of TTC, we used clearblue ovulation test this month and I got high fertility on 18th followed by peak on 19th - I'm due on 4th August and can early test from tomorrow but I'm not sure if to hold out until the weekend? I feel like I have symptoms, felt nauseousness yesterday and feel tired but I was pretty sure last month I felt different and turnt out not to be pregnant which was frustrating, part of me isn't sure whether my mind is playing tricks with me!

@Terri055 you sound just like me! Your dates for everything are one day before me!!
Exactly same felt stuff last month and wasn’t anything!
I’m going to try not to test too early but I have the cheap dip sticks and lots of them so might do them on a morning from August and just see what happens, I don’t expect to see any line so I guess it doesn’t hurt to do them! Xx

@KatieFH last month was so annoying - I had such bad pains a week before my period, really bad lower back pain which I never suffer from and constant cramps :-( I've told myself to test on Saturday then every 2 days from there but I can't stop thinking about testing tomorrow! Going to try my best to just put it to the back of my mind I think xxx

@KatieFH @Terri055 you are both like me. Completely managed to convince myself I was pregnant last month - nausea, metallic taste in mouth, bloating, fatigue - but then AF arrived late... Same again this month and I am desperately trying to resist testing but suspect I'll give in. Never thought I'd turn into a crazy TTC demon but the wait is driving me mad!

@KatieFH @chillyfields keeping my fingers crossed for us all! The crazy thing is when me and my husband started trying, I said it will probably take us a while but when it happens it happens & now I am secretly turning into a crazy person doing constant google searches on early pregnancy symptoms...

@Terri055 @chillyfields hah exactly the same! Sat at my desk at work googling can you get a positive 8 days before AF 😬
I am so impatient. We all turn crazy during this I think! Least we aren’t alone!

Anyone got any symptoms in the tww?
I’m 10dpo and I feel so sick and have a horrible metallic taste in my mouth which has came out of nowhere.
Trying not to get my hopes up as it’s only my first month ttc after a Mmc in 2018!
I have also gave up caffeine as I’m a total addict and was drinking too much so I switched to decaff coffee and coke so maybe that’s why I feel like this?
I also have sore boobs but I aways have sore boobs straight after ovulation until Af so that’s not unusual for me.

@HouseOfRunners it's strange! I'm just glad it came because I was worried I wasn't going to ov at all!

So glad I have checked back in on this thread today - I thought I was going crazy googling every little thing to see if it’s a symptom! I thought I would be totally relaxed but now that we’ve started TTC I just want to know! I’ve been so bloated and had sore boobs over the last couple of days but I’m sure that doesn’t really mean anything. AF due 4th Aug and I’ve booked a table at my fave restaurant on that night to celebrate/commiserate (but probably the latter!!!)

Hi ladies, I'm in the same boat, mc early June, I'm due af on the 4th, currently 9dpo. Usually start testing around now but dont think I can deal with that again do trying to wait until the day after af (if it's a no show)

I have had exact same today had gradually got darker for 3 days now lighter and in heart haven’t ovulated yet!

Sorry sent my last message before finishing.. we are currently ttc ovulation due Saturday if I believe the app! Did lh test was increasing for two days but slightly lighter again today, just keeping fingers crossed, and not over thinking it, if that’s even possible.

Evening ladies, so I’m 10DPO and just woke up on the sofa from a nap. Could be a pg symptom, could just be shattered 😂
I’ve had a couple of BFNs over the last couple of days but hoping it was too early. I’ve had a scratchy throat all week and very thirsty which I did have when I was pregnant with my son. But who knows 🤷‍♀️
I’m meant to be having quite a boozy weekend if BFN so I’m hoping to test on Friday morning which will be 2 days before AF. 🤞

Too early to test but I caved and I see an extremely faint line - hopefully gets stronger as get closer to AF but could just be evap. Not getting hopes up much but just wanted to share!

@KatieFH wow I can see it too!! How many dpo are you today?

Just read back and your AF Is due on the 5th.....that’s a good line for so early. Will you be testing every day now? (I know most of us would so no judgements 😄)

@HouseOfRunners I’m 10dpo today but shouldn’t be testing until 2 days time earliest really but just thought I would and see. These cheap tests can be misleading though I found last month do unless it gets stronger over next few days it could be nothing 😔

@HouseOfRunners I drive to France tomorrow so hoping that distracts me enough to not test for a few days ha!

It’s funny because I always found the cheap dip tests to be the best at very early detection....I’ve never had a wrong result with one but I know a lot of people on here don’t like them at all. Everyone swears by the FRER don’t they? Not really used them myself.

according to clearblue early detection, I can test from today but I have resisted so far - seeing your post has made me want to cave in though! May try tomorrow as soon as I wake up xxx

has anyone been experiencing any symptoms in the 2WW? one thing I forgot to mention was that I got really tearful on the weekend just gone over something so silly (which is not like me) and was really moody, didnt want to really talk to anyone! - I usually get a bit emotional when I'm due on but not full on tears, hoping this could be a sign...

@Terri055 yes, brushing my teeth yesterday and today (DPO 5/6) made me gag, also could smell the washing up liquid on a clean glass and had to rinse it again. Trying not to get my hopes up though as last month I managed to convince myself I was pregnant when I wasn't. Not going to test until DPO 10, which is early but I have a very short luteal phase so hopefully might get a result by then 🤞

@chillyfields sounds promising! I know what you mean - I convinced myself last month too and I wasn't :-( I did feel quite sick the other day but again I dont know if my body is just playing tricks with me - so annoying! last month I was so sure my sense of smell was higher than usual & I was testing every day from 6 days before my period - I actually felt like a crazy person so I'm trying to play it cool this month but I am getting so impatient xxx
