@OrientalPinkLily welcome! Sorry you're in this frustrating journey with us. 🤞 For Tuesday!

Nellyk84 · 24/07/2020 19:31

@Mia1985x Thats what I thought so I manually changed my ovulation date to CD16 so I'm now 3dpo and in my TWW. Got plenty to distract me at the mo with moving and work stuff so hopefully will be an easy wait lol

Mia1985x · 24/07/2020 21:35

@Stabal aw that must be a rubbish feeling and so awful what you have been through so totally understandable. That's good your OH is so positive, I'm sure that will pick you up when you need it most. Just need to keep thinking if DTD at the right time and everything else that goes with it there's till only about a 20% chance in any month of falling pregnant so odds are it will happen again within the next few months. Just keep doing what you are and hopefully it will happen. Easier said than done I know though.

Stabal · 24/07/2020 21:44

@Mia1985x finding this forum has been incredibly helpful, I don't feel as alone as I have done or as totally crazy 😂 I really hope your bloods are all normal and you can get moving along 🤞

Mia1985x · 24/07/2020 23:48

@Stabal thankyou. Yeah I have found it so useful too! Fingers crossed some of us get BFPs this month.

OrientalPinkLily · 25/07/2020 00:47

@Stabal thank you!!! It is very frustrating, I never knew it was going to be like that. I always thought no contraception means pregnancy.. but unfortunately, it’s not that easy Sad

LT103 · 25/07/2020 07:24

@OrientalPinkLily welcome!! I agree with you, we’re all taught that if you have unprotected sex you will get pregnant...if only if was that easy!! I’m on 3rd cycle, 2nd cycle tracking ovulation and bbt. I do feel much more aware of my body and my cycle so I can give it every chance but it’s disappointing to see that negative test or for af to arrive. My oh, as much as he wants a baby, is very much of the opinion no point in stressing, it will happen when it happens. Whereas I’m 38 and so a bit more realistic about our chances!!
Crossing my fingers for this cycle but getting day 21 progesterone checked next week to be on the safe side. It was mainly organised because I spot for up to a week before af and read that, although it can be normal, it can be a sign of low progesterone so called my doctor to discuss it. I guess I’ll find out soon

MJM1608 · 25/07/2020 07:58

Hello!

Hope you don’t mind me joining in! I’m TTC #1 cycle #5, 3 days dpo. Hate the TWW & trying to pretend to DH I’m not obsessed 😂! Glad to see so many people in the same boat, really comforting!

I was just wondering how people plan their social lives around TTC? I know it sounds ridiculous! I have 5 weddings and 4 hen parties next year, almost don’t want to commit to the hens because we’re trying & they will be very boozy (!) but it’s hard to plan because there is no baby yet! I also don’t want to let people know we’re trying. Would love to know what other people do - thanks 😊 x

LT103 · 25/07/2020 08:50

Hi @MJM1608 also try #1 and 3dpo but only cycle 3 here.
I find all social events awkward just now that’s why I thought lockdown would be a great time to get pregnant 😂. I’m not against having a couple of drinks when ttc but I don’t want to be drinking lots just in case it affects anything. Things only just opening up here so haven’t had to worry about it but don’t know how I’ll explain. Take the car so I have a convenient excuse? Not sure yet

beckyBP · 25/07/2020 09:18

Morning ladies,

I took a CB test this morning as still no AF (Not common for me to be late) and I THINK I saw a super faint line.

Has anyone ever checked if you can see a super faint line prior to testing and I wondering if it's just the outline of the line ready does that make sense?

This is my first ever test!

Stabal · 25/07/2020 10:05

@beckyBP how many DPO are you? Do you have a pic? Unfortunately the CB tests are notorious for faint lines when negative. You should try pink dye tests instead if you're going to test early!

@MJM1608 I understand your worry about alcohol but the way I look at it is, this may be a long process and you'll drive yourself crazy if you don't allow yourself to just be you every now and then. A few occasions of alcohol intake in the grand scheme of things won't make that huge an impact to TTC. I know it's hard not to but stressing about that kind of thing is only going to make it worse. If you're a wine drinker, make it a spritzer. If you're a gin drinker, order another mixer (not another gin!) before the glass is empty and everyone will just assume its another gin. There's a few tricks to limit the amount! Enjoy yourself, don't drink to excess and you will be fine! 😊

OrientalPinkLily · 25/07/2020 12:09

@LT103 my DH is quite relaxed too. However, he was the one who said we should start trying for a baby. I had many challenges and difficult times with my family and was not even thinking about it. But now I am getting really stressed and he can keep very calm, which helps to be honest... I’m 34 btw.

just before the lockdown I had light bleeding between periods and I had 21 day blood test, my GP texted and said that progesterone was a bit low and I had to repeat the test the following cycle. But my cd 1-3 blood test (That they do as part of the 21 day test) was cancelled and I was never contacted again For repeat tests. My GP is still doing telephone appointments only, so not gone back.

I couldn’t wait and I tested again today, 11 dpo, BFN again

MJM1608 · 25/07/2020 14:40

@LT103 If only you could predict when you’d be pregnant to know 😁 taking the car sounds like a good idea! My friends would know straight away if I said that as I never turn down a drink 😂 as much as it’s a worrying process - it’s exciting too & the baby will be worth all the missed nights out!!

@Stabal Good tips thanks!! Totally agree, I’ve deffo cut down drinking the past few months but will still drink the odd occasion. Sorry is should have mentioned my challenge is that 3 of the hen parties are abroad so I’m in the position where I don’t know if I should book & whether I have to pull out nearer the time or don’t book and make excuses. If only you could predict when a baby would be on the way! Hopefully it’s this month & I won’t have to worry about this hehe 😁 are you TTC your first baby? 😊

Stabal · 25/07/2020 15:07

@MJM1608 oh wow yeah I get your concern now 😂 that is a tricky one. I'd look into cancellation policies etc and to from there. Yeah 1st for me. Was TTC since February 2018, conceived early March this year just as we were going down the fertility treatment route (had appointments, bloods, waiting for AF to have an HSG test!) but unfortunately ended in miscarriage in May. It's been a wild ride lol.

AlwaysLay8 · 25/07/2020 15:19

Hello, please can I join too... 35yrs old, 2nd cycle ttc #1, 2DPO... this cycle I used OPKs and DTD every day of flashing smileys to static smileys: from CD12 to CD18 (except one day CD14....). Used preseed and also been mowing down on the pineapple core and Brazil nuts! My husband is like... why are there so many pineapples in the house .. 😆 wishing for baby dust for everyone

Faith82 · 25/07/2020 17:12

Welcome to all the newbies!

I’m not so great at posting but I come on mostly every day to catch up with all of the comments. @AlwaysLay8 I’m similar, 37 trying for #1 and on cycle 3 of ttc. I’m surrounded by pineapples and Brazil nuts too, it’s a good job I like both of them! 😂🙈
I’m on cd 13 which is ovulation day for me and been doing smep this cycle for first time. I’ve felt it’s been good to have a structure in my head, so we’re on the 3 days in a row of DD now. You’ve done well managing to DD so often that’ll def increase your chances.

A really random question, does anyone know if having baths around ovulation and during tww is ok? There’s a lot of conflicting advice online snout it. I’m sure it’s prob fine as long as not too hot?

beckyBP · 25/07/2020 18:30

Hey @Stabal I'm 16 days PO and AF due yesterday.

Still no AF. I had the teeniest hint of like pinkyish stuff when I wiped earlier (sorry that sounds so gross!) But nothing since and no AF at all.

Feeling really sicky and I feeeeel like I've got a heightened sense of smell. I keep smelling snuff and my fiancé is like 'what are you on about' 😂

If still no AF tomorrow I'll pick up a FRER.

Stabal · 25/07/2020 18:39

@beckyBP that all sounds promising! Good luck! 🤞

Pippy20 · 25/07/2020 19:21

Hi ladies, just catching up on this new thread! I’m having a shitty weekend - felt really off yesterday and left work early saying I had a headache as I couldn’t concentrate. Had some brown discharge/spotting this morning and have really heavy feeling cramps like I’m about to get AF. stupidly did another test and the line isn’t very strong. Things clearly seem to be going the same way as before, I just can’t bear the thought of going to the EPU again - but at the same time really don’t want to leave it. I feel so numb - like I was so sure this would happen again that I’m just not surprised and have kind of gone into autopilot. Cried loads yesterday but today I’ve just been walking about like a zombie and have spent all afternoon flat out on the sofa watching tv trying not to think. Husband thinks I should call the EPU tonight and see if I can be seen tomorrow but I’m sure it’ll be too early to see anything on a scan. I just feel like I’m just putting off the inevitable 😭 sorry to come on here with such a downer. Hope everyone else is having a good weekend and eating plenty of pineapple X

Stabal · 25/07/2020 20:07

@Pippy20 omg I'm so sorry to hear this 😞 how many weeks are you now? I know my EPU do bloods so maybe it would be a good idea to contact yours and see if they'd do them rather than wait for a GP on Monday? God why is this all so shit. Please keep us updated. Sending all my love 💕

Pippy20 · 25/07/2020 21:04

Thanks @Stabal 💕 I think I’m 6 +2. It’s just so so shit and all I can think about is the fact I’m going to have to wait it out, and that after 2 miscarriages your chances of another one jumps up, and that I might not actually ever be able to have children. It’s completely overwhelming, and this if this is going to be over I just want it to be over now. I have such a busy week at work next week I don’t know how I’ll get through it knowing what’s happening. Can’t eat either but know I have to, its just so upsetting I can’t really comprehend that this is happening again x

Stabal · 25/07/2020 21:11

@Pippy20 at this stage EPU should be able to see something with an internal so definitely worth while ringing them to get checked! I was 6+3 and they were able to find the heartbeat easily. Also if this is the worst of the worst happening there are options that you don't have to wait it out. That was what I didn't want with mine as well, I couldn't bear to go about life as normal waiting for it to happen. Your head must be spinning, you poor thing. I will literally be thinking of you non stop until you get seen x

Faith82 · 25/07/2020 21:28

Awww @Pippy20 I am so so sorry to hear this, I feel for you so much and praying that the worst doesn’t happen. Much love and keep updated xx

LT103 · 25/07/2020 21:47

@Pippy20 sorry to hear this. Hope everything is ok
