Late period - BFN on tests!

Hi all!

I can't see a recent thread for anyone that AF is late for and still getting negative tests so thought I would start one as we are all in the same boat 👎🏻

I'm now two days late and CD30. The main symptoms I've been having is a tonne of CM - so much so that I thought AF had started, lots of cramping and last night my nipples were sore.

Anyone else in the same position or has ended up with a positive test eventually after all the negatives?

Pretty much the same as me! Forgot to mention the headaches 😫 constant headache for about a week. I am usually a bad migraine suffere but surprisingly no migraines just headaches! Very very strange as never have i missed a period and no other reason why i would miss it. I guess it is just a waiting game but it is so hard as i am starting to think.. am i just going crazy?

Seems to be quite a few of us in this position...I'm currently 9 days late. Never has this happened to me before. Multiple BFNs I've given up now and am doing OPKs in the hope of getting some kind of pattern back.

Interestingly there's been links to missed periods and Being in lockdown. If you google there's many articles on it. I don't personally feel overly stressed but maybe the change has thrown our bodies!

Another negative test for me this morning 😔 told myself I wouldn’t test but so hard when everything else is saying im pregnant. Boobs are killing this morning! Im just not going to test now until next week.

I had the same and tested first thing. I think AF has arrived though as I have a pinkish starting ... must say it’s not my usual though.

@sle0911 is it higher or lower than your other ones? Have you thought about taking a pregnancy test?

Im in a similar situation, AF was 8 days late but i've started to bleed today but it's not my 'normal' period flow- it's so strange. I took a test at 4days late and its was BFN so i waited and was going to test again but now i'm bleeding, i'm so confused with whats happening?!

@tootiredtoclean it's a different brand as I ran out of the others but it's registering on the app as higher! Took an internet cheap test couple of days ago and BFN 😩

@Mrsmujic you're not the only one. Today is CD42. I'm sort of spotting but not my usual AF. This started last night and usually it would be very obvious that AF is here by now. Going to get a GP phone appointment on Monday if this continues

I would say your ones from the 6th were higher as the test line is darker than the control.

I've finally got a line on a OPK!! I'm so happy 🤞hope this is back to normality. It's not dark yet but it's the darkest I've had in 3 months!

@tootiredtoclean yay for the positive OPK! Funny how your wanting a line on one and I'm wanting the line to bloody disappear on mine 😂🙈

Are you still getting positive ones today?

@tootiredtoclean yay fingers crossed your dodgy cycle is about to sort itself out 🤞🏼 so about 8am it was positive again but have just done another one and it's just "High" with the test line slightly fainter than the control line, hoping I have already ovulated!

@sle0911 thank you. They're even stronger today so I hope so 🤞. Never had an OPK score this high in my app.

Just looked back through mine and I'd have a mixture or positive ones and a peak towards the end. Seems like you definitely are ovulating it's just working out when, unless you have ovulated twice? Is that possible?

AF arrived today 7 days late. Must have ovulated on CD21 rather than my usual CD14/15. Which explains the weird cramps I was getting at what I thought was 7DPO. Am going to start temp tracking next cycle.

@LemonDrizzle44 same here..AF has arrived today too. So last cycle lasted 42 days! Got LH tests coming tomorrow to help avoid not knowing in future. Plus one more cycle then going to TTC :D

Would like to join you in limbo if that's ok. I believe I ovulated on cd 19 (by temps, rhr & opks). I'm currently on cd 38, so 19 dpo, approx 5 days late. Thought I was getting faint positives around 8-10 dpo then couldn't see anything so assumed it was a chemical. Now no af. Sometimes still see a real squinter, but realistically they're negative. By now I feel clinically insane.

20 dpo, do I have a faint line?

Not sure if I can see something or not. It's definitely a squinter. Have you tried a FRER?

@sle0911 to top it off people are now assuming my no AF for 9 weeks bloat is a baby. I just can't even begin to tell them it's definitely not. They don't know I'm TTC, hate being asked if it's happened yet or not.

Does anyone know if breastfeeding has any affect on results? I can't see why it would but my son has been feeding a lot these last few weeks. Just wondered if something could be masking the hormones?

also in this boat, in New to all this but i lost my period and they came back in February and since they've been regular but I've been using a tracker app and it's telling me I'm late by 8 days now, i did around 4 tests starting from when i was 1 day late up until i was 5 days late and just keep getting negatives, I've been experiencing sickness ( mainly in the morning when i first wake up) headaches randomly, falling to sleep at random times and not being able to sleep through the night ( when i do fall asleep I'm waking up late afternoon) i feel as if I'm forgetting random small things and then it pops back in my head, I'm overly dehydrated all three time and want food i normally refuse to eat, back pain mainly when i lie down, bloating and bad gas (tmi sorry) and I've had cramping on and off since a week before AF was due, it sometimes feels like period pains and other times a burning sensation or a tingling butterfly feeling ( I'm unsure of how to explain it). Did any body else experience this in there pregnancy and could i actually be pregnant?? I don't want to get my hopes up for something that could be in my head😕 my doctor's won't see me because of my past with irregular periods any advice or input please
