Late period - BFN on tests!

Hi all!

I can't see a recent thread for anyone that AF is late for and still getting negative tests so thought I would start one as we are all in the same boat 👎🏻

I'm now two days late and CD30. The main symptoms I've been having is a tonne of CM - so much so that I thought AF had started, lots of cramping and last night my nipples were sore.

Anyone else in the same position or has ended up with a positive test eventually after all the negatives?

Hi everyone. I’ve been TTC since March this year. Never had a cycle longer than 30 days in the whole 8 years of me having periods. I’m now on day 31. Usually have 28 day cycles. No sign of a period. Have had intermittent cramps which settled over weekend and got a banging head and do not feel good at all today. I’ve had a bfn today and Saturday. So fed up. Just kind’ve wanting my period to come now as feel so shit. Sending love to everyone x

Still in limbo, BFN on OPK and today marks another missed AF! I don't see it arriving anytime soon.

@sle0911 that OPK is so clear! It's rising each day so it'll drop and stay low after ovulation. people say they've had positive OPK's when pregnant, so you never know 🤞Hope you have good weather for your garden party.

@Ad17 can you request your GP changes it?

@tootiredtoclean my OPK has now been peak for 48 hours, is that normal?? I was under the impression peak doesn't last long, I'm so confused!! (Sorry to ask you all my OPK questions 😂)

Oh god can't believe you're now 2 missed period!! So frustrating for you 😩😩😩

@tootiredtoclean I've sent a complaint in because she's just completely ignored any physiological symptoms, and the fact that the test wasn't sensitive enough to pick up anything below 2000miu. I'm so angry that they were proposing causing a bleed when they still don't know either way for sure!

I’ve tested again and not a faint positive or anything. I’m feeling unwell today though my head is bouncing. It’s so frustrating and hard to understand why you can go all your adult life and then all of a sudden a period just doesn’t show. Hope everyone is ok.

@sle0911 if you look at the percentage it's still increasing. You're lines darker than the control so I would assume you're ovulating and it's about to drop. If it doesn't maybe try for a BFP in a couple days? With mine the app said the first cycle will be a little off as it's getting used to the level of hormone in my body so yours may be the same (but with a lot of hormone).

@Ad17 have they done any bloods before a scam or forcing a bleed?

Hi everyone. AF arrived today after BFPs for over a week on FRER (but never managing to appear on a regular test - so deep down I knew it wasn't right.)

I am also puzzled at the periods for you guys arriving late after a lifetime of regularity. I'm just wondering if it's because we track so carefully now, maybe it happened in past and we just didn't really notice? Or the stress impacts?

I'm hoping for answers soon for everyone. Onwards...

I think you're right- once you start watching obsessively you notice things you might not have previously. And yes, it can be quite stressful too!

They did a blood test that was inconclusive, nothing on it to explain any symptoms,

So just paying to go private and get some specialist advice either way

Hey guys, hope you don't mind my jumping in.
Now of CD40 and I'm usually at 33-34. 3 BFN on FMP but I did get them from Amazon so now getting to the stage where I'm thinking I may get some from the pharmacy. I didn't do a ovulation test as not quite TTC as yet (maybe in a month or two is when DH and I would have the serious chat) I really hate being in this limbo! The worse part is I have been so broody lately I am wondering if it's all in my head that I could be and somehow delaying AF... Any thoughts?

@JustStephi93 I’m also thinking this. People have said to me if you carry on you’ll have a phantom! But it’s sooooo hard to not have it in your every thoughts when you’re usually really regular! Xx

@tootiredtoclean my OPKs have turned to just "High" today, yayyy I'm assuming I've now ovulated 🙌🏼 my RHR has shot up by 3bpm too! Officially counting myself at 1dpo on CD45

@MrsLLister definitely feels like me at the moment. Took another test this morning...BFN again. Need to stop worrying really. Haven't really got anything else, just a few bouts of nausea and back pain.

I went for my bloods today and I asked what I was having. It looks like the GP may have changed his mind and done some extra ones as there was quite a list. Hopefully, I might get some answers.

@JustStephi93 how many days late are you? I’m 5 and another bfn just now. So fed up kind’ve just want my period to come now! So stressed out.

@MrsLLister I am now 7 days late was due last Wednesday... I really do feel you. I have never been this late before, a part from when I first started getting AF. Everyone says don't worry about but I can't stop with the not knowing. If there is a little one on board I just want to know to make sure I do everything I can for future baba.

@MrsLLister I'm usually around 33-34 but I'm now on CD41 today!! I came off the pill at the end of December as just wasn't getting on with them and DH and I thought it'd be best to start getting my cycle to normal for when we decide to TTC. I've only ever bee around 4 days late before, so this is the longest time. Trying not to worry DH to much until I know for sure.

See I’ve never been late since starting my periods. I was clockwork 28 days before going on cerazette. Came off in March and longest cycle I’ve had was 30 days which was my withdrawal bleed. I just want to know what’s going on now. I do get it’s possible to miss a period but I just find it so hard to understand 😩xx

What was everyone’s outcome with this?

I am now 5 days late for AF (CD31) and never in my life have i been late for a period or missed it completely. I have no signs of it appearing anytime soon. Last week i had some intense cramps and thought AF was coming but nope. One of the days blood when i wiped and nothing else and then another bit of blood 3 days later after sex (TMI i know) but nothing since!

I have taken a test each day and negative but i am so tired, cramping, boobs sore and feeling a bit queasy most days oh and constipation!

So frustrating because everything is pointing to the fact I’m pregnant and all tests are negative! And then i think something must be wrong with my body so it is all getting to me a bit. I am not planning a pregnancy so not wishful thinking btw.

Hi there, just seen your thread and wondered how you’ve got on? I’m 7 days late now and my doctor did a blood test today, hopefully we will find out for certain on Friday. I’ve done so many tests and definitely feel the same as I did with our DD.... fingers crossed!

Hope it's ok to join in. I'm currently CD34. Cycles are usually 27-31 days. I had cramps like AF coming from about CD21, which is very unusual but They seemed to have stopped yesterday. I've been bloated and had sciatica. BFN on CD32. Just holding out for a couple more days before I retest.

I’m CD33, maximum length of my cycles has been 30 days and that was only my withdrawal bleed after coming off cerazette. I’ve felt crampy on and off for days now, keep thinking AF is coming. Bad headaches yesterday and today. I’m also testing negative. It is soooo frustrating I just want to know either way!
