Hey girls, as @juno231 pointed out, we were almost at 1,000 messages on our last testing thread, so thought we should set up a new one for anyone that hasn't got their BFP this month. Of course a few of you may still get your positives :)

I'm just going to tag anyone that has posted on the thread in the last 24 hours or so, but please feel free to tag others that I've missed out...

@foreverhopeful67 @BbyBx2 @Muriel84 @Smushty14 @Smiling124 @33Carr @memily @LottieX

Of course this thread is based on a cycle of around 30days, so take the title with a pinch of salt as I'm sure some of us will be testing earlier and some of us later. I seem to be on track for a 33+ day cycle at the mo! xx

Ahhh I can't believe it!!

The only difference I've had this month is I've felt extra gurgley!!

Congrats @LottieX 🥳

Juno231 · 07/07/2020 10:46

@LottieX congrats!!! gurgley?! I don't even comprehend what that could mean lol. How many cycles was that for you in the end?

I'm on CD1 today so will be way out of kilter with everyone else I think! Only had a 23 day cycle which is a bit worrying :(

fashu · 07/07/2020 10:58

Congrats @LottieX :)

fashu · 07/07/2020 11:00

I'm entering my fertile window this week! Think poor hubby can't wait for this to be over. I've been temping this cycle. Seems to be ok so far, averaging 36.2 every morning. I will be testing between 18th July (DS Birthday and 25th July (My Birthday!) so hopefully that will bring some good luck :')

notyetamumbuttrying · 07/07/2020 11:11

@fashu ah that's nice, hope it does bring you luck! 🍀
@Juno231 how long are they normally? They tend to get shorter the older you get unless they're always short? Mine are 24-26 days usually and had a 25 day cycle this time round. I'm cd3 today but will be due on again 29th July or thereabouts.

Juno231 · 07/07/2020 11:17

@notyetamumbuttrying the last 6 months they've ranged from 23-30 so they're a bit all over the place. LP ranges from 11 to 14 days as well which I gather is a bit unusual as it should ideally stay the same.

Mum entered early menopause at 31 so I'm a bit worried my irregular cycles are potentially a sign of me becoming perimenopausal...

eastcoastgirl · 07/07/2020 12:02

Congratulations @LottieX! How many cycles was that for you in the end?

I'm out this month, AF arrived yesterday. Better luck for cycle 4 hopefully. Fertile week due between 13th and 18th July, so should be testing again around 1st August (how did it get to August?!)

notyetamumbuttrying · 07/07/2020 12:43

@Juno231 I get your concern and realise I'm talking to you over on the July bus about this too. I think it's ok for you to speak to docs sooner rather than later given your mum and your cycles. Hope everything works out for you!
@eastcoastgirl I'll be testing again 29th July so not too far behind you. August then becomes month 11 for me 😱

eastcoastgirl · 07/07/2020 15:55

@notyetamumbuttrying how have you found ways to keep positive over 11 months? I'm already struggling and even though logically I know that we've not been trying that long - it feels like forever! I'm impatient and feel like I've already been waiting such a long time before we were in a position where we could TTC, that now it hasn't happened straight away like I probably assumed it would I'm finding it difficult. Its frustrating when I feel like I'm doing everything I'm supposed to be doing and my body is failing me 😕

notyetamumbuttrying · 07/07/2020 16:12

@eastcoastgirl I haven't 😝 only happened this month when I decided to just laugh at how ridiculous it all was! Plus my mum took a year with my sister and she was 26 at the time (I'm 34!). Me and my other sister then followed in quick succession so that's always been in the back of my mind. I think once I hit month 12 and still nothing, real panic will set in. That's not until September tho even cycle 12 will be at the end of this month...it's mad having short cycles! I have a book recommendation for you...the impatient woman's guide to getting pregnant. You'll love it! I read it last month and I wonder if that made a difference to my outlook. I did have a crazy blip at 6 and 9 months so I've not been calm throughout trust me 😂

Happygolucky29 · 07/07/2020 18:37

Aww congratulations @LottieX 🥳🥳

MintGreenLife · 07/07/2020 19:21

Huge congrats @LottieX lovely news ☺️

I haven't even ovulated yet, so I'm way behind with the 11th of July testing 😂 Haven't had any EWCM or a positive OPK yet and am CD21 now 😔 Waiting patiently for something to happen...

@notyetamumbuttrying I'm 34 in October, and I don't think that's helping my impatience! I have short(ish) cycles too, the benefit of that though is we don't have to wait as long to try again I guess 🤷🏼‍♀️

I actually looked at that book the other week, but was too tight to shell out 8 quid or whatever it is to get it on kindle, especially when I think it's quite a short book isn't it? But then with the money I'm shelling out on the CB ovulation sticks its daft to think like that really, I think I may have to invest!

I never thought I’d be back joining this thread but here I am sharing my BFP.

It’s literally a miracle. I have PCOS, an overactive thyroid, medicine to control it and told not to get pregnant for the rest of the year and I was on the pill. 4.30 this morning, this happened. I’m over the moon

Sussexbysea · 08/07/2020 06:44

I’m still in shock

Sussexbysea · 08/07/2020 09:44

@MintGreenLife @Juno231 thanks ladies. I just can’t believe it.

How are you both?xx

MintGreenLife · 08/07/2020 09:51

Such lovely news @Sussexbysea

fashu · 08/07/2020 11:55

wow congrats @Sussexbysea so happy for you! I remember your posts from the last thread, wishing you all the best :)

LottieX · 08/07/2020 12:02

Thanks everyone 😊

And huge congrats @Sussexbysea!!!

Hopefully it'll be a lucky thread for some more! It was cycle 7 for me @eastcoastgirl and I never thought it would happen. I've actually had even less symptoms than AF, the sore boobs came and went in a week and then nothing really else apart from feeling really active in my lower abdomen.

I think what really honestly helped is I read the inpatient women's guide to getting pregnant... I followed the guidance in there and voila! Loved that book so thank you @MintGreenLife for recommending! It took me probably 4 cycles off the pill to properly regulate and I didn't start tracking bbt until cycle 5 so hopefully you're just in the reset phase xx

LottieX · 08/07/2020 12:05

@eastcoastgirl I was also too tight to shell out for the book so I signed up for a free one month trial for scribd and read it on the iPad!

MintGreenLife · 08/07/2020 12:07

@LottieX you're very welcome :) so pleased for you
