Hello! please don't run away if I say that we had a little chat about this a couple of weeks ago and I really like Genevieve (Evie for short) for a girl. Dh not keen but I reckon I have time to work on that, don't give up too quickly if its a name you like!

Ladies, I have good news!!!

I have had the oficial all clear after my partial mole!! After the longest 9 months of my life!!

It means I have the official go ahead to ttc (ahem], even though I never stopped.

I had a big cry of relief, I thought I was more over it than that. The letter says that the tumour is unlikely to return but just to be vigilant, and that I will only need more tests after my next pregnancy.

I can't tell you how pleased I am, it signals the way forward now, into a future I can look forward to.

Thanks for everything, you have all been a lifeline

Ready · 08/09/2007 11:07

Kensgirl - WOOOOO! That is fabulous news. Really cheered me up! So pleased for you flower! How are you feeling? Oh, and don't feel about what you said about your colleague. No one thinks bad of you. We all have these moments, it shows we are human!

Sybil - You are not the kiss of death at all Genevieve is a very pretty name... what middle name would you have with it?

Gilly - Love your list, lots to choose from too!! It was nice to see DH's name on your list I suggested it to DH for us, you know, as xx Jr, but he wasn't keen. ... aside from DH's name, from your boys list my fave is Charles. From your girls list, my fave is Hannah. I can understand why your DH doesn't want a name due to memories. There's a name DH loves, but I can't even consider because I knew a girl who was a total cow.

My little list (in no order, on purpose) Dylan, Evan, Samuel, Ryan, Liam
Scarlett, Olivia, Chloe, Megan, Thea
What do people think of these???

BabyBratt - Hope you are coping with the sickness. Enjoy the fishfingers Take it easy.

Mistlethrush - I am ok, not too optimistic this month, don't know why. How are you doing?

Toomuch - Have a great holiday!!

Fifi - Sounds like you have got a lot going on. Good luck with the surgery, hope it sorts your ear right out. Shame ttc is on hold, but in the grand scheme of things, it's not that long. Keep your chin up.

Anyone seen nomoremagnolia????? [worried]

Hope everyone is ok?

kensgirl · 08/09/2007 11:40

Thanks Ready! It has lifted a weight off my ind, I feel so much more positive. How are you doing? Some months I don't feel very hopeful either, I sort of know its not going to be the month for me. But, you never know, lots of people say it happens the month they least expect it, so hang in there.
I feel stupidly optimistic this month, probably to no avail. But, you never know

All the names are lovely!

My current faves are

Hannnah
Ava
Anya
Olivia
Imogen
Isabel or Isabella

Grace as a middle name

I can't think of as many boys names
Joshua
Luke
Maybe James or Charles as a middle name

nomoremagnolia · 08/09/2007 11:48

Ready I'm still here (will email you soon), been trying to catch up today as have been busy at home and not been on MN for a few days Agree with you about the names that remind you of horrible people from school. DH and I agreed we both had the power of vito if one of us suggested a name that reminded the other of such people. 'Felicity' is the one name I can't stand - I have yet to meet a Felicity who is nice (Though I have to be careful what I say as I don't know anyone's real names on here!)

kensgirl Great news about the all clear. Now you can 'officially' start ttc

sybil you're not killing threads, don't worry! (and don't leave - I like you, you think like me!)

How's everyone else doing?

I'm ok, have to keep working out which CD I am, which is kind of a good thing as I'm obviously not obsessing this month I have also gone back to my first love in the pram hunt - the phil & teds.

OP posts:
Ready · 08/09/2007 12:51

Nomore - Glad you are ok I have to say, you are a total pram slut What's the phil and ted's like again?? My friend has an i-candy - it looks really cool.
PMSL at you and your DH having the power of veto... reminds me of Friends... Sequoia, James (for a girl), Dayton, Sandrine

Kensgirl - I loooove the name Imogen, but DH doesn't. Boooooooo. I like Isobel - I wonder how it was originally spelt, there are lots of variations aren't there

kensgirl · 08/09/2007 13:07

Hi Nomore, its good to see you around again . What are your favoutites in the name game?

OOh, glad you like Imogen, Ready. My dh isn't keen either, but I imagine that when I'm in the throes of labour agony, that he can't really deny me anything !

nomoremagnolia · 08/09/2007 14:00

phil&teds most excellent buggy
Names - well like Lilia for a girl and Matthew for a boy ATM. (But please don't tell anyone or they'll steal them like they did with Charlotte which was mine & DH's fave for years! )

OP posts:
nomoremagnolia · 08/09/2007 14:01

Can't believe I've just told you the names - I said I wouldn't earlier on!

OP posts:
PiggyPenguin · 08/09/2007 15:41

Hi all, hope everyone's having a good weekend. Good to see you around again Nomore, and I think Lilia is lovely. I would have Rose as a middle name to my Genevieve, although I find boys names much more tricky. I think Aidan is possibly my favourite at the moment although this changes all the time!

I also like Imogen, and I love both Isabelle and Charlotte but they have become just too popular.

Ready · 08/09/2007 16:42

ooooooooh. Nomore - I am loving that phil& ted's - is there a picture of it completely flat for newborns?? That's what I love about the Bug, is the proper pram shape attachment. I hope I didn't offend you calling you a pram slut
You give in far too easily with telling us the names I won't tell anyone, I promise. Lilia is an utterly gorgeous name, it has a lovely flow... what would you have as a middle name?

Kensgirl - I like your thinking regarding the throes of labour as a bargaining tool. I might have to out Imogen back on the table ... just wanted to say again how chuffed I am at your all-clear news.

Sybil - I totally love Aidan... I am half Irish, and am always drawn to Celtic names. DH has to reign me in at times. I love Rhiannon but he thinks it's too Irish. I find boys names far easier, I could have a football team, no worries . But girls names are a struggle for me. I don't want anything too popular, but all the names I really love are not as unique as I would like.

Ready · 08/09/2007 16:44

i-candy apple

Ready · 08/09/2007 16:46

OMG!!! Just came across this... am I the only one who thinks this is totally cute?????

Ready · 08/09/2007 16:48

Ready · 08/09/2007 16:50

don't be silly Ready, I love looking at other people's fantasy shopping, get posting!!!!!!!

I love the grobags, both my dc used them until they were 3 and they are fabulous.

nomoremagnolia · 10/09/2007 09:30

Hiya Ready love all the links! i-candy apple has bad reviews esp regarding the changeble front wheels. Most people seem to say it's not worth the money and would have prefered to have spent more on the bug.
Gro-bags and car - so cute! Saw the ride on mouse at the baby show - really lovely Have a look here for a video demo of the P&Ts

OP posts:
mistlethrush · 10/09/2007 09:36

Also grobag supporter - particularly good in cooler weather as you can put them in for last feed and cuddle and then put them down still all snuggly and warm rather than into cold sheets and blankets. There is also a travel one which is fantastic for journeys at night (which, btw, is one of the best times to go once they are no longer babies)

Like some of the names.

Caution Ready (I think) - Scarlett seems to be very popular at the moment - 3 in ds's group at nursery

Hello all- think I have found my spiritual home with you Kalahari ladies....went to Peter Jones yesterday just to try out pushchairs (still ttc 18 months after starting.) Having been a nanny for 11 years, I like to keep up to date!

On the subject of names, DH and I have picked ours- spent the whole of our wedding anniversary trip deciding!

George William Grafton **
Cecily Jean Temple **

Seeing them written down, they look quite pretentious, but have a lot of meaning.

hey Gilly, and anyone else who recognises me!
