HOORAY NEW THREAD!!!

Had spotting yesterday, so just waiting for AF to start now.

Rah - careful what you wish for as you never know what will happen. And thanks for starting new thread it really was getting very very slow.

Minxi/duchesse - welcome back missed you both

ZamMummy - temp rise sounds promissing fingers crossed for you. Congrats on first steps very exciting. Life will never be the same again, welcome to toddlerdom !!!

Blue - I know what you mean about hormones etc. Why the temp rise if no OV. Well if I understand it correctly we are always producing a certain level of progesterone and oestorgen. I did think that the increase in temperature did signify ovulation, but according to my research the lowered BBT is caused by the oestrogen, so I guess that might explain it. I will definately be taking my charts with me to the meeting and will ask the consultant.

I must say that a lot of girls on this thread have commented about the lack of understanding of the benefits and implications of temping on TTC.

Morning,

How are you all? New thread, new start, new BFP'S please

Nappy - How are you doing in your 2WW, hope the spotting isn't the start of AF for you.

Hi to everybody else

Well I've managed to get in a couple of sessions this weekend as may not be able to today due to DP at work. This is when TTC gets frustrating - before starting all this as far as I was aware you would get pregnant from one night any time of the month - how wrong was I! I really struggle with that bit as you could so easily miss your peak time especially if illness or work gets in the way.

Anyway enough of my ranting I'm joining a slimming club this week to see if that helps with babymaking. Has anyone tried reflexology or heard if this has helped anyone succeed in getting pregnant?

Hello everyone, frantic 2ww symptom spotting here - had to go to bed at 9 last night due to cramps, have got CM & nausea....??
AF not due till Thurs, but refuse to test yet due to high cost of HPT's here (£10 for one test!)
Here's hoping!

Temps still high, and rushing around cleaning like a crazy woman. I must be about to give birth or something. Does anybody else have those "I didn't know I was pregnant until I went to Waitrose and gave birth in aisle 6" fantasies? Or is it just me? I keep thinking it would be grand to discover that one had accidentally overlooked the first six months of pregnancy and fast forwarded to the last trimester. Yes, I am sick.

RahRah1 · 03/09/2007 12:11

OMG duchesse. I emailed Ready about a week ago with exactly the same thought, (except I was hoping for 7 months before I realised)!
So if your sick so am I!

Our conversation when like this: (hope you don't mind Ready that I'm posting this, but its so hilarious that Dutch has the same thoughts), Phew!

Rah - I have been secretly hoping that I could be one of those women that
catch and don't realise until I'm 7 months pregnant! How cool would
that be, but what do you think the chances would be? Or does it only
happen to people who appear in 'thats life'

Ready - Hahahahahaha! That's life!!!! What a blast from the past. Chuckle. That's
really cheered me up. I can't imagine anyone ever going all that time
without knowing, especially not us ttc-ers!!

Rah - How comes it always happens to the chaves? Alright, my name is Trace
and I went to loo after I had a curry and a baby just fell out!!! YER
RIGHT!
I don't think there is much chance of it happening to any of us lot!

Hi there - can I join? This is my first month temping, I am also on Clomid (1st month). I had a miscarriage in March having got PG first cycle after coming off the pill, but then my periods were all over the place (the last one was 12 weeks!) so doc put me on Clomid. Fingers crossed! I am on CD8.

I am using fertilityfriend.com which I am finding really helpful to do my chart.

nh101 · 03/09/2007 12:50

I also wish I could get PG without knowing it! Just 12 weeks gone would be fine by me though. I lost my last baby at 13 weeks and from BFP to MC (seven weeks) felt like the longest seven weeks of my life! I think it's cos I couldn't drink . Life can get pretty boring when you can't have a glass of wine!

nh101 · 03/09/2007 12:52

Doh! Actually it was nearer nine weeks from BFP to MC. I can't count.

Welcome NH01. I am sorry for your loss. How is the clomid going, and strange side effects I have heard it can be quite a ride! I have moved you into the middle of the list, as you go back to the top at CD1. That way we know to watch the ones at the bottom of the list for exciting BFP news.

Well yes new thread new optimism. Gracie soo sympathise with you. DH works in London so with a 2hr commute it is quite hard to get the enthusiasm right at the right time.

Rah/Duchesse LOL at the idea of you guys not noticing your period for 7 months. You would have tested after 7 hours late!! I really do know stories of girls being in labour and no one knew! It is usually in the teen mum department though. I certainly would love to discover that I was over the first half of the pregnancy. As I have probably said before, I do not bloom in pregnancy!

ZamMummy - ooooo everything crossed 4 you.

Gracie14 · 03/09/2007 14:35

nh101 - Sorry to hear about your loss . Pleased you have decided to join us, hope this month is your month along with the rest of us.

Zam - Lets hope those temps stay high for you and fingers crossed for a BFP Thursday

Rah/duchesse - You are funny - but so right about the chavs, then you see them on one of those talk shows wondering who the father is with a choice of about 5 different men who already have about 50 kids between them - I'm not bitter at all am I

nh101 · 03/09/2007 15:15

Hi guys, thanks for your messages. I am not sad about my MC now - it was over five months ago and I spent a long time in a very deep pit of despair thinking life was never going to get better, but now I am back to my old self and, dare I say it, I am a bit put off going on the TTC after MC thread now cos I hate to see all those good MN pals having such a tough time.

I think my feeling better has a lot to do with control - now that I am on Clomid and temping I feel like I am being proactive about it. I am ttc my first so I am making the most of it just being me and DH for time being.

No mad symptoms from the Clomid - it better be working!!!!

Ready · 03/09/2007 15:15

Yay, I can get on the thread in less than 10 minutes

Haha. When I read that post from you Rah I thought I was cracking up. It's great that we are not the only ones hey

Hope everyone is ok. Just wanted to let you all know, what with the ongoing broadband fiasco and the imminent move I might not be posting as much as normal (might do me some good?) - but I will be thinking of you all!

RahRah1 · 03/09/2007 15:38

Blimey loads of post today

HI nh101 - welcome to our thread. Glad your not getting too many symptoms from the clomid.

Gracie14 - I have tried reflexology. It was really good, but obviously not successful. The lady was recommenced from the fertility clinic and use to be a midwife and a nurse. So she had good credentials. You can only do it in the first part of your cycle, in case you catch. You can't have it in the 1st trimester. She could even tell when my ovaries were bigger!!
She also told me other things that were wrong with me, that I had not told her. In addition my husband has a kidney problem and he decided to have a go and she told him straight away about his kidneys... How mad is that! A fortune teller who fiddles with your feet! LOL

Fabulous news ZAM!!! My temp seems lower - and as I didn't start temping this month until Saturday (after hols) have no idea what I should be above.... have had awful cramps but think thats been the same every month - funny how you can never remember!! also have sharp stabbing pains in left breast everytime I breathe - so trying not to!!
FF says to test tomorrow - but will wait till Thursday at least... if it hasn't worked this month then will do the HSG that the consultant gave me last time to do when I felt like it...
Ready - what happened with your hSG ?

Hope everyone else all well - must go get lunch !!

RahRah1 · 04/09/2007 14:12

OMG - CONGRATS Zam...... and welcome back the pregnancy panda...!!! Hopefully you will be the first of many...
Hopefully the wobbles will leave you and wishing you a healthy and stress free 9 months.

Best wishes Minxi, hope she stays away for you, Zam will need some company on her new upgraded thread!

Hi to everyone else.... Sorry to see you at the top Nappy GGGRRRRR

I don't have a clue where I am in my cycle... I'm CD19, but don't know if I've ovulated or anything. I did take my temp this morning (as can never leave alone) and it was higher than my normal cover line so think I am in my 2ww...

Right I have just read an article about a women that was TTC for 7 years. She had nothing wrong with her. In desperation she went to see a herbalist in the highstreet and told them she could not conceive. They gave her acupuncture and gave her a mix of herbs. Cost her £35. They said she would be pregnant within 3 months and 6 weeks later she missed her period and at her 12 week scan she found out she was having triplets!!! She went after hearing about someone else in a similar position getting pregnant as well.... I think next month I will give this a go, as might as well try it! (hopefully without the triplets!)

OP posts:
minxi · 04/09/2007 14:17

nothing to lose Rah- think we will all be off to herbalists now!!

Thinking · 04/09/2007 15:24

Wow, Congratulations Zam

Semms like the pregnancy panada sneaked onto the thread whilst I was in the garden

I'm happy to be in my second cycle even though the first one doesn't really count as I had no chance of conceiving as I had no ovualtion.

So this cycle, I'm am aiming for ovulation, at any point with any LP length. Hopefully I'll be able to celebrate my modest goal for this cycle.

We'll BD for fun but not expecing anything this month

Good luck everyone else.

Off to read the back log of this thread.
