Ready is having difficulty in getting on the other thread due to length of it, so started a new one.

Good luck for tommorrow rah.

Thanks for the congrats over the swimmers, but I think you guys misunderstood. they are still totally rubbish, just not as rubbish as before!!! only 9M per squirt. Low sperm count would be 20M and average bloke I read somewhere is 50M!! I know it only takes 1 little guy though.

The increase in sperm count is purely due to the fact that second time round he was not worried or stressing about the process!!!!! IMO.

He is now on a daily dose of Selenium, Vit A, C, E and zinc. Probably re test in 3 months.

Ready · 10/12/2007 21:35

That's what I was going to say. It only take 1... so 9 million means there is still a chance. Improvements means they are going in the right direction. Look to the positive A healthy diet can certainly have an impact!

minxi · 11/12/2007 07:35

Hi girls...
Rah good luck with scan...good news is required soon!!
Nappy at least the sperm is getting better so you never know - hope your cold is better!
Ready good luck with your move
gracie hope you are ok

Last time to write before pc gets packed away! Although dh now away during the move!! and today had loads of (he was around at about 5am this morning but we thought tomorrow would be fine - nothing over the weekend as he was away too!!!) ew and now he is away (back tomorrow for about 2 hours in the morning) will that be too late ?! oh well have resigned myself that its not this month anyway - feel sad already and I was trying not to get hopes up at all again
anyway must get on as loads to do will be back on ove the weekend to catch up properly!!

RahRah1 · 11/12/2007 12:15

Howdy

Just got back from the clinic... Thanks everyone for your messages of support. Really appreciated. {{{GROUP HUGS}}}

I have 2 follicles that are sized 11 and they need to be 17 before they will release one, so having another scan on Friday to see what size they are then.

Oh and I had been dreaming all night that when I got scanned there was a little baby there and I did not need to go through this... .. but no.. as usual just kidding myself... I'm such an idiot! .. some how I had convinced myself that I had a period but it was really a heavy implantation bleed...

Secondly she tried to put the probe up my arse and I nearly dived off the bed! .. I had to say "I think you have the wrong hole"

Minxi - I am right with you on the missing husband when moving.... its such a nightmare. good luck and hope all goes well. Sorry you are feeling sad... I really think Xmas has a tendency to highlight whats missing etc... {{{BIG HUGS}}} I promise moving will take your mind off it!

Nappy - Sorry I misunderstood... But its defo better that the results are improving. SOunds like you have him on a good combination of tablets. There are some protein vit's that you can get (I put DH on them for a while) that are really meant to help the swimmers. I can get the name of them if you like?? But they are very pricey... hence why my DH only had them for about 3 months.

Ready - Glad I'm on your list... ... Is it a long list?? Hope everyone one is OK your end and your DH is happy in his new club.

Gracie - Hope you are OK...

Big kisses to all

Gracie14 · 11/12/2007 14:45

Rah - Sorry I wasn't here to wish you good luck, but fingers crossed for Friday so pleased things are moving along for you
I had to laugh at the probe up your arse - you would think she should know where to put it by now.

Nappy - I obviously misunderstood as well, sorry about that

minxi - Please don't be concerned about the ewcm, especially with everything that is going on with you at the mo. I thought I had ovulated early as had lots of ewcm last week and we hardly bd at all as DP had the flu, use the 2 hours you have got tomorrow if you can and bd and then crossed fingers for this month. ((HUGS)) to you hun

Ready - Hope your well hun

Ready · 12/12/2007 10:17

Not bad thanks Gracie - gearing up for moving house Hope you are well?

Fingers crossed for everyone - wouldn't it be great if we all cleared off this thread this month and started a new one in ante-natal together

RahRah1 · 12/12/2007 15:29

One last post before the big move... not sure how long it is going to take to get broadband sorted, dh still not decided who he wants to be our provider. And with christmas it will probably take forever.

Anyway, Merry Christmas everyone!! And here's to a fantastic 2008 for all of us!!!

xxx

RahRah1 · 17/12/2007 12:06

well if your with SKY... it will be the same period of time as us! NEVER!

My egg is still not big enough, so I'm back again on Wednesday, I went again today and was a little disappointed. Bloody egg! Oh well...can't hurry these things up I suppose!

MInxi - well done for getting set up so quickly, who provides your broadband?

Hello, Sorry to interupt, but would you mind awfully if I just popped in to ask you a question?

I'm not very good with "science bits" and I've just bought a thermometer from ebay. Most of the instructions for charting were in the book, but the instructions for using the thermometer were torn out with someone else's charts!

It's a Boots BBT thermometer, so I figured somebody must have one like mine and be able to explain it to me. When I press the button to turn it on, it says Lo and then it beeps three times. What I want to know is, how long am I supposed to put it in my mouth for?

Before, I was putting the thermometer straight in my mouth and waiting for it to beep three times - was this wrong? Can't ask anyone in RL - can you help me please?

minxi · 18/12/2007 17:10

Ready Good luck with the move... and happy christmas and merry 2008 to you xxx

Rah hope that egg is doing its work now - good luck for tomorrow.... broadband is bt - do have sky + too.

Doubt my chance has hapened this month - had loads of ew last week which was cd13-16 with no bd!! and now so must have ov'd bang in the middle this month (last month was later) typical!

Gracie hope all is well with you....

Nappy how are you?

Excitable welcome - somnebody will be along to give you some advice

Gracie14 · 19/12/2007 14:30

Hi all,

Hope you are all doing okay, have been so busy this last couple of weeks haven't managed to get on much. I've done what I can this month which wasn't much due to illness from both sides, so looks like I'm with you minxi.

One of my close friends has just told me she is pregnant (this is one friend I wasn't expecting to hear this news from) had sex once last month and now pregnant . So to be honest I'm so sick of being angry, envious, sad, and everything else that comes with ttc thats the 3rd friend this year and I started ttc before all of them. I so hope 2008 is our time. Sorry to put a downer on the christmas celebrations (and I was doing so well).

Excitable - Once it says LO put the thermometer in your mouth and wait for it to beep again and then take it out and read the display. Hope that helps

If I don't get on again, hope you all have a lovely christmas

RahRah1 · 19/12/2007 14:56

Hi all

Bad news I'm afraid... I went for my scan and my egg had gone, so they can't progress with the treatment. It looks like I could benefit from some clomid, but they want to do another month without drugs to see if the same happens again. They want to see if they can see if it is my eggs not growing big enough. She could not find the egg anywhere, so there is no hope for me either this month. God I'm pee'd off! Plus they said that next month they will have me in for scanning every day. GRRRR
Oh well, least I can have a drink for this month. I know I'm going to have a good old cry tonight when I'm by myself. This TTC business is so bloody frustrating, as you all know!

Gracie and Minxi - sorry to hear that your both with me this month, so roll on Jan!

Gracie - I know its hard, three of my friends have announced that they are going to try for a baby come 2008...They will have sex once and there you go! So bloody unfair
Its so bloody shitty!

OP posts:
Excitable · 19/12/2007 17:17

Gracie - thanks very much for the advice. Will have to make a mark on my chart to show where I started to do this right.

Sorry you've been feeling so down. It really isn't easy when it goes on for such a long time. Several of my friends have been trying for much longer than me and I really hope they fall before I do. None of this is fair really, is it?

minxi · 19/12/2007 18:49

Oh Rah soo annoying - hope you don't have to go the clomid route (but then again it might work for you) but it is bl*&%dy not nice...hope you are alright big hugs to you {{{}}}}} We managed once this month ?! But I feel a bit liberated that I haven't been temping or monitoring - apart from spending £60 on a monitor or there abouts (maybe waste of money) will perhaps go back to the monitor when my af arrives christmas or boxing day!! but as from 2nd January 2008 - health drive kicks in seriously - and just going to focus on getting fit and healthy without all the other stuff that goes on - will also definitely try some reflexology once a month or something (can't afford everyweek!!)

Gracie I'm with you it is frustrating and so unfair that someone can just fall pg when they take there knickers off once ...hugs to you...

Everyone else hi - my ds1 who is 6 is trying to read this post and luckily doesn't understand a word I am talking about otherwise I will be the talk of the playground next month

Happy christmas to all who can't get back on here - I shall pop on every day as I can!! chin up 2008 is OUR YEAR

Gracie14 · 19/12/2007 19:42

Rah - So sorry to hear about the egg not being there - I wish I could come and give you a real life hug instead of this virtual one (((HUG))) but I'm thinking of you hun - it is so bloody crap isn't it and so so hard. Take care of yourself.

Excitable - Your so right about ttc being so hard, it would be lovely for you to fall the same time as your friends wouldn't it, how long have you been trying for? You can try plotting your chart on fertlityfriend.com if you haven't already it gives loads of info as well. We normally post our temperatures on this thread every day (if we remember ) so if you fancy joining us feel free. I think we will start doing it again once christmas is over as everyone has been really busy but would be lovely if you would like to join us.

minxi - I am expecting AF around Christmas Day as well - not a great time for a visit (but I suppose there isn't ever a great time is there!)

Ready - Hope move is going well

Nappy - Hope your okay hun

Thinking - Happy Christmas hope you and bubba are taking it easy

Excitable · 19/12/2007 20:07

Gracie - to be honest, I've only been trying for four months and I'd be embarrassed to be doing any whining on this thread - it would be just like telling Kate Aidie that I feel a vit vulnerable when I'm alone in my village, I'm just not in the same league!!

But thank you very much for the information and I hope very much that we'll meet again in the ante-natal threads...

Happy Christmas everyone!

Gracie14 · 19/12/2007 20:12

Excitable - You have made me laugh with your comment . You can whine all you like, it doesn't matter how long you have been trying we all going through the same stress its just taking a few of us a little longer than others. I hope we will meet again on the antenatal threads - good luck to you and happy christmas

OK I have no idea where we are but have decided we should get our list back up and running. I have no idea where we got to really.

Welcome Excitable. I think most of use would agree and remember how stressful it starts to feel at 4 months. Get temping, at least you start to feel more in control (well that's my theory). Rant away, you may take Rah's Ranting Tiara off her, and then where would we be!!!

As for me yes the decorators came with vengeance just before bed on Tues which was most annoying as I happened to have white undies on!! (I know TMI).

So LP still rubbish. Blood test on monday will be even worse. However the good news is I am definitely ovulating so they might just send us straight for IUI and cut out the Clomid. Need some more monitoring in the new year apparently.

Finally we had a fantstic 4 days in bath. If anyone fanices it I found a lovely little hotel and some great places to eat. We went to the new Spa which was gorgeous, although now we hae killed off all the troops, still they did not know where they were going anyway. It can take 11 weeks for more men to complete basic training and be ready for the battlefield (still with me??). We now have a new analogy for IUI - instead of taking the Normandy Beaches (lots of troops, many lives lost etc etc ) we are going to parachute the paras into Paris - hopefully even they can't get lost from there!!!!

Got to go am meant to be working.

rah fingers crossed for you.

Oh, okay, I admit it, I came back for a sneaky peek and you talked me into it! You all seem really friendly and (more importantly to me, FUNNY - we all need our sense of humour in this)

Today I am dealing with the stress of ttc by just giving in and being convinced I'm pregnant in the face of NO evidence at all. I am ignoring this and having a lovely time thank you very much! How nice! I know that this is make believe, but what's wrong with a little make believe now and then?

Fertility Friend is telling me that my temperature seems to fluctuating wildly, but I think this is more to do with just making up what I thought was the right way to use my thermometer for most of the month, so I am ignoring it.

Rah my fingers are crossed for you too and please rest assured that I am not so much of an upstart that I want to take your ranting crown from you.

NappyValley loving your analogy. Surely they wouldn't get lost in Paris, and even if they did, there would be foreign lovelies each way they turned. Even the shiest of boys couldn't fail to score there, the atmosphere, the music, the food, it's all in the language of luurve, right?
