You seem to be in the same boat as me re long cycles.

I'd do a test!

nomoremagnolia · 20/09/2007 20:03

Attila - thanks for your good advice as always doc at hospital did see blood test results too. I will go and have a look at some books. My GP is at a shared practice, so I don't always see the same GP - though they do seen to try and get me in to see the same lady when it's ttc related, guess they think she already knows the background. Sorry about your endo - if only everything was as easy as taking a pill or two
nh101/mowmi - good luck for testing tomorrow

nomoremagnolia · 20/09/2007 20:04

sorry meant nh101 and kerri, not mowmi (though if you are due to test soon - good luck )

nh101 · 21/09/2007 11:08

BFP

I had to take two tests because the first one had such a faint line I was convinced it was an evap line, although DH said he could see it too so I knew I wasn't being totally bonkers. That was with the first wee of the day, so half an hour later (before I'd had anything to drink) I squeezed out a bit more wee and the line was much stronger - a definite line!

It is six months to the day since my MC was confirmed.

My period isn't even due to Monday so fingers crossed this is not a chemical PG....

But for now I am happy!

And I just heard from the gynae who says all my blood tests came back normal. So I told his secretary to tell him I am now up the duff and to thank him so much. I want to just give him a big kiss cos he gave me Clomid.

MamaMaiasaura · 21/09/2007 11:10

flosspot · 21/09/2007 11:23

nh101 · 21/09/2007 11:42

Oh Floss that would be AMAZING!!!

flosspot · 21/09/2007 13:31

OK....have finally managed to get through to DH, so can tell you (honestly, when you rally need someone to answer the phone they are always in meetings.)

Have had very faint line...visible enough to take a picture . Actually had 4 lines, since did 4 tests. Does that mean there might, finally, be a little flosspot????

Awen- stop holding your breath- it won't be good for the baby!!!!!

MamaMaiasaura · 21/09/2007 15:01

a line is a line!!

Very excited at prospect of little flosspot!

mowmi · 21/09/2007 15:38

oh my...I'm sooo happy for you both, that's fantastic news
I was already feeling better than I have been the last couple of days but honestly I'm grinning for you both.

x

Kerri1983 · 21/09/2007 15:43

Congratulations for your BFPs!!! I got a BFN this morning but it is still early days for me, got everything crossed for my next test on Sunday!! x

nomoremagnolia · 21/09/2007 16:42

WOW WOW WOW!!!!
Congratulations flosspot and nh101 (though actually I want to say 'well done' rather than cogratulations IYKWIM as congratulations sounds too 'lucky' and you've both worked really hard for this - oh I'm waffling...)

nh101 · 21/09/2007 17:19

Thanks! It still feels a bit weird to be honest. I told my friend "I'm pregnant" and it felt really weird saying the words again after so long (well, six months, but it has seemed like an eternity!)

tigerschick · 21/09/2007 18:12

OH MY GOD!!!

I go off to work for the 1 day that I bother to in a fortnight and TWO of you go and get BFPs

Massive CONGRATULATIONS to you both.

nomoremagnolia · 21/09/2007 18:58

tigers - go to work more often - it might be what brings us luck

tigerschick · 21/09/2007 19:02

nomore - it's a thought ...

flosspot · 21/09/2007 19:30

Thanks everyone...still a bit new for me to take it all in...might stickaround here for a while if that's OK. Graduating seems a bit too scary...this is my comfort zone!!!

Flosspot I am such a dork that I went and started a 'due in June 2008' thread straight away! Come and join us when you feel up to it.

I got a letter from my gynae saying my blood tests showed up 'nothing to be concerned about', then he wrote 'I am glad to say we can proceed with the Clomid' !!!

OMG I already started taking it last month! Do you think that would have interfered with the blood test results? He definitely told me to start taking it during my next cycle - he even gave me progesterone to make AF come! Oh well, it is too late now!

tigerschick · 23/09/2007 15:50

nh101 - do think you were pg when you took the progesterone? I am waiting to see if that is what I have done. Based on my last cycle, this should be cd1 (ie, last time I took my last progesterone on the Sunday and cd1 was the Thurs, so this time I took the last one on Weds so I figured it would be today.) I'm going to wait until Tuesday or Wednesday before testing tho - definately not getting my hopes up tho.

Hope all is going well with everyone

nh101 · 23/09/2007 16:17

Hi Tigers, I had a period after I took the progesterone and then took my temps all month and pinpointed OV so no I can say for definite that I wasn't PG when I took the progesterone. You could be though. When I took progesterone I took the last one on a Thursday and AF came on the Monday which is the same time frame you have been experiencing, apart from this cycle. If it doesn't come tomorrow... Fingers crossed!

tigerschick · 23/09/2007 16:24

Hi nh101 - Well, that is only based on one cycle so, like I say, not getting my hopes up.
How are you doing? Has it started to sink in yet? Hope all is going well, and continues to!

MamaMaiasaura · 23/09/2007 21:33

tigerschick - understand you not getting hopes up, would just wait and if no period then do another test. If you are pregnant the progesterone shouldnt have done any harm and may actually be a benefit. x

tigerschick · 24/09/2007 11:08

OK - line up here for the Crappiest Day Ever Competition!

Had a phone call this morning to say my Grandma is in ITU after going thru major surgery to remove a just-found bowel cancer. Then DH had a call to say that FIL's boss, who he has worked for for 40 years and is like a third Grandad to DH, had a stroke yesterday. And to cap it all it looks lilke my period has shown up!

Ah well. At least that's my 3 bad things for today out the way.
Hope everyone else is doing OK and keeping positive
